Looking Back At Rookie Minicamp
May 18th, 2014The first day of the Bucs’ rookie minicamp was highlighted by the crazy catch wide receiver Mike Evans that evoked memories of Jason Licht and “The Dunkaneers” label he issued during the NFL Draft. It was very, very impressive.
The next day was highlighted by — guess who? — Evans again when a cornerback made a beautiful interception defending Evans only to see him tear the ball away and regain possession. Impressive.
Below in this TBO.com video, Woody Cummings of The Tampa Tribune discusses the lesser known players in rookie minicamp with Olivia Stacey.

I miss Davin Joseph. That list of guards depressed me.

morning cup of joe is only on weekdays. Davin ain’t coming back. I’m doubtful on Carl Nicks too but we need him more than anything right now.

ESPO,
You miss Joseph – umm did you miss last season?

I just saw where the Saints just signed Devon Walker, a paralyzed player from Tulane. Is Eric Legrand still a honorary Buc or did he have to wheel up outta here when Schiano left?

Olivia Stacey is gorgeous.

Who is our starting right guard?

I miss Johhny Football.

I miss Davin Joseph too, getting crappy play at guard from guys that we didn’t cough up a ton of cash and a 1st round draft pick for just isn’t as fun.
Joseph was horrible last season and extremely overrated the years previous. He made his one sole Pro Bowl off name recognition (1st round pick) and that was it. I’m going to miss Joseph about as much as I miss Jorge Diaz and Randall McDaniel.

Why are you all worried about players? Put you’re faith in Smith and Licht.

@ architect, I was at the stadium each home game and one away game. I I still miss Davin Joseph and think he’s an upgrade over what we’ve got, even without regaining his former form.

I agree that Davin Joseph would be a viable option if he would accept say… Half of his previous salary…. I think he would be stronger this year than last bcuz of extra year of healing & strengthening. I say bring him back for $3-$4 mil RV
