The most electric and talented quarterback in the 2014 NFL Draft will not wear pewter and red. He won’t run Jeff Tedford’s mysterious offense. He won’t turn the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway into a rocking cauldron of energy filled with screaming, sweaty drunk college girls.
And that’s ok.
Yes, Joe has been all-in on the Johnny-Football-to-the-Bucs bandwagon for many months. But Joe’s not shedding tears.
This is football, after all. And Johnny Football isn’t the only quarterback in this draft with “franchise” QB potential.
Hardly.
Joe’s beloved Bucs can still find their guy. Tedford’s short list of draftable QBs who could win a Super Bowl surely has more than one name on it.

Well, there’s a bigger, faster version of Manziel available for later in the draft in Wyoming’s Brett Smith. I doubt that despite my frequent mentioning of Smith that Joe hasn’t bothered watching any game tape on him…. if he did, you would definitely be hearing his name here…not Aaron Murray’s, that’s for sure.

Whats funny is that Cleveland wasn’t all about Johnny either. They started with a CB that wasn’t expected to be picked until much later in the round (and they already have Joe Haden!). Then, when then 20’s came around they were like, “Oh he’s still here, lets get him I guess”.

Seriously… Glennon is the QB of the future until he’s not, which could be at any moment… That statement could just as easily be a strategy to keep another team from jumping in front of them to draft the QB they really want, which could be the target at the top of round 2.

That’s why teams pay for scouts. I knew from the very beginning Johnny would fall in the draft. Said it back in February. He’s too reckless as a pro QB. Are you guys even thinking? You put Jjax and Evans on one side and a speedster on the the other. Then you have Dougy sitting in the the backfield. What is your defensive game plan? The only problem I have is do we draft another weapon in a tight end or a guard? Lets go nuts and draft Marquis Lee and Draft a guard in every round after?
