It Was Just A Matter Of Time
May 22nd, 2009Joe knew as sure as s(p)it stinks that sooner or later after Michael Vick was let out of his cage that somebody would be foolish enough to suggest the Bucs pick him up.
Well, it didn’t happen as quick as Joe thought, but it did happen.
Ed Thompson of FoxSports.com is the recipient of this — ahem — honor. He lists teams that could use Vick this year but for all but Washington gives no reason why the teams he lists would need or want Vick.
Should Vick be allowed to play this year, teams that would benefit the most from adding him to their roster as a possible starter would be the Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But don’t overlook the Titans or Raiders as possible suitors as well.
None of these teams, with the possible exception of Denver, could use Vick unless a coach was going to turn him into a return man or a wide receiver. This is a gross example of throwing s(p)it against the wall.
Good God Thompson, at least explain why a team would want or need Vick.
Joe wasn’t aware the Bucs need not only a sixth quarterback but all the headaches the angry PETA media whores would bring, naked vegans or not.
