I have to imagine that the backlash regarding the numbers would make Nike at least consider making a change to the numbers before jerseys are mass produced (probably way too late). These jerseys would instantly be 10 times better if they just changed the numbers. It pains me to think that some guy or girl got paid a lot of money to sell that everyone will love the numbers……….. Got’Dam numbers…

Can’t stand the guy, but he is correct about the numbers. They look stupid! Buccaneer blade carvings… ha, what a load of crap! These uniforms would look 10x better if they changed the font to something that actually did look like a carved font.

The uniforms will look fantastic when we’re winning. Worked for the Denver Broncos when they rolled out the navy blue, and the Elvis logo for the Pats.
I’ve actually been searching for these Buccaneer blade carvings… still looking.

Like Oberman, hate Oberman…. he’s right. the new uniforms are an epic fail. It’s hard to give a nod to a tradition of losing with the orange stripes when the whole purpose of changing the creamsicile unis was to get away from the loser role. The numbers… well everyone knows the problems with those.
And for the record, people don’t love the denver uniform, they wear it because it is what it is. Then again, Denver wasn’t coming from a place the Bucs were: having one of the best uniforms in the league. There is just no rhyme or reason for this new design. Even the people who would welcome a new updated look (me included) think this was a fail. How does nike make such an awesome Penn State kit and then give us this?

Cuz Joe Paterno basically said he’d throw in the trash any uniform that Nike tried to offer that f’ed up what was perfect. To his credit, Bill O’Brien pretty much said the same thing, but he did add names to the backs.
