Bucs new GM Jason Light explained his role and that “arguments are healthy.”
New Bucs general manager Jason Licht shed great light on his job approach this afternoon at One Buc Palace.
Licht made it clear that life is the same in “every place where I’ve worked, especially successful teams.”
“Our job is to serve the coach,” he said.
Licht said his role is about getting Lovie Smith “the players he wants. … We gotta get the right fits on the field.”
Licht, however, was very clear that the Bucs will not draft a player that he and Lovie Smith don’t see eye-to-eye on. If we can’t come to an agreement, “we won’t take that player,” Licht said.
The new GM explained that “arguments are healthy. I’ve had arugments with every coach I’ve worked for, and every GM.”
If Licht wants a players that Lovie dismisses, Licht said he’ll be “in Lovie’s office 20 times” to prove his point.”

This presser has shed new Licht on what our GM’s role here.
He seems like a very Lichtkable guy. (no, okay… Lichtin up guys)
Hope we make some smart moves in FA and in the draft to get this team playing under the big Lichts come Feb. 2015

I bet the guy cannot disappear during a three game losing streak like the “rockstar” would. Seriously, the NSA could not find this guy. But here is to the new GM. Hopefully we will have a long and successful tenure as Bucs GM.
