Greg Schiano said today’s Bucs-Saints game was a “playoff” game for his team. So Joe has to ask, “Coach, where the heck was your playoff defense?”
The Buccaneers offered no resistance. The Saints racked up 35 points through three quarters. And it was virtually all on the defense. The Bucs’ offense actually moved the ball a bit and only had one turnover that led to a fourth-quarter score.
Brees finished the first three quarters — that’s three quarters — 22-for-28 for 376 yards and four touchdowns.
This is very disturbing.
Schiano is a defensive head coach with Darrelle Revis, Dashon Golson, Gerald McCoy and Lavonte David on his side. Yes, the Saints offense hums at home, but not that well.
The Bucs’ pass rush was about as non-existent as the Saints. Finally, the Bucs’ offensive line came to play. Bobby Rainey and Brian Leonard found holes. Mike Glennon had plenty of time and only absorbed one sack.
So now the Greg Schiano watch is on in full force. Will he survive for a third season?
The Bucs were pounded three times to close the year against the 49ers, Rams and Saints. The Bucs finished 4-12, and 4-4 in the second half of the season.
Joe can’t predict what Team Glazer might be thinking. Jon Gruden and Raheem Morris got canned off December losing streaks.
This season it took 11 wins to earn a Wild Card berth in the NFC and 12 to win the NFC South. The Bucs are far, far away.

That’s a wrap on the Schiano era. There is no way to spin this to allow him to return. I pity the marketing department trying to sell luxury suites and season tickets if this coach survives.

So we are supposed to overlook the 0-8 start? Hell The coach in Cleveland, who had QB issues and injuries made them play hard and where in a ton of games. Oh that’ right team Glazier didn’t want him. So you bring Schiano back and then what? ALL black outs, and fan backlash. Time to clean house and start over. LArson, Nicks and Davin MUST go. Glennon has glimpses but I am not sold. You need OFFNES is the ne NFL, Schiano will never win in the NFL.

This was embarrassing on the highest level. Schiano cannot be allowed to coach this team any further. No way should this season had gone this way with the talent we have. Penn State please get this trash of a coaching staff off the lawn of One Buc Place. U freaks can have this loser coach cause we don’t need em.

The Bucs were painful to watch today. Improved pass defence?, you guys can’t cover worth a crap. Banks was lost covering Graham. Revis got beat for a TD. I’m sick of this making Brees look all world. Where is the TNT, I’ll light the fuse.

Why Dom and not Schiano or maybe both…
1. Dom has missed multiple times in his drafts and FA signings…if 5 years we are still looking at a rebuild, needing over a half dozen guys.
2. Every year we miss in the personnel area, we set this organization back more than one year of questionable coaching.
3. Freeman was his Waterloo.
4. Get a proven manager…evaluate the entire organization…bring out the ax and put everything under a microscope.
5. A proven GM with a long term contract will be secure in his position. No good Vet. coach will come in here with the state of the organization and the questionable tenure of the GM.
6. When a team stinks, like a fish, it starts from the head. Since we can’t cut the Glazer’s, that means Dom is next in line.
7. I said Dom needed to go with Rah…didn’t work out that way…and two years later, little has changed.

Bye the way…when I say “missing multiple times” I mean considering our draft position and the number of high draft guys that have stayed and made a major impact with the team, we have been worse than average. And we have been worse than average from round three or four on down.

You guys don’t understand that coaches in the pros don’t recruit, except some Free Agents. And it that case, money does most of the talking. With the cap, the quality of the team means every bit as much, and signing/drafting mistakes infinitely less forgiving. But you guys think like college fans. Yes, a new coach might help, but even a good coach can do little without sufficient talent… and he can’t recruit it. We are an under talented team, and no head coach is going to be much better without better talent. And who is responsible for drafting the talent? A proven evaluator of talent would make us much more competitive.

Blount, Bennett, Selvie (7 sacks), Talib, Gilberry (7.5 sacks), Chris Jones (5 sacks) were all brought in by Dom but it was Schiano that decided they couldn’t play and were jettisoned. Schiano must go. Buccaneer Men is the ifficial term for mediocre players that make stupid mistakes.

Atlanta didn’t block for Ryan. They need an offensive line even more than Clowney. Carolina sacked him 8 or 9 times today

Love that new and improved secondary giving up over 80 points to the Saints in two games. I think EJ Biggers, Myron Lewis, Sean Jones, Tanard Jackson, and Elbert Mack did better.
