Bucs At Saints, Open Thread
December 29th, 2013
So it has come to this. Many teams are celebrating a berth in the playoffs or are still alive for the playoffs as the Bucs-Saints are about to kick off; the Bucs are still searching for their first playoff win in 11 years.
It will be 12 years, and running.
So now Bucs fans turn to hope. Hope that players today prove to be worthy of coming back next season to play meaningful games. Hope that whoever is coaching the Bucs next year can have better than a 32nd-ranked offense. Hope that Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik can again pluck smore gems out of the draft, this time enough to get the Bucs over the hump.
As always, Joe encourages you to feel free to share URLs of sites with illegal streams of the game among each other but do not post them here.

I’m not sure about this game. Judging by the plays they’re doing it seems like they’re just trying things out. Just throwing some plays out there that they wouldn’t normally do just to see how it works out. I don’t know that that’s indicative of our team being bad so much as these guys just recognizing their situation and treating it like the preseason game that it is. Maybe they’re just putting together game tape to evaluate for next year. We’re seeing flickers, reverses, all kinds of stuff. Not their normal game

I wonder if it will be at 9am, 10am, a little later perhaps early afternoon? I wonder when they will call Schiano into the office for his firing. I will have espn on all day waiting for the glorious report that Schiano has been fired. I will sleep better Monday night knowing this college coach expirement is over and hopefully any and all future HC vacancies at this organization will bring in proven NFL coaches. To think of the coachs that were available prior to hiring schiano makes you wonder what might have been.

I’m sorry, but IMO Revis is past his prime and over rated. I think his presence is over-hyped and it hampers the development of younger players who may feel they shouldn’t outplay Revis.

As a former player of the game, and fan I am in complete disappointment. I about exploded after that last play. If you walk onto that field you better come out a different player. Become a beast and destroy. Don’t think that this is just a game for it is a war. There better be a different Buc team coming out this second half, and it better be complete dominance at all phases of the game. The fans are passionate for we watch this complete crap of a season. I drive 4 hours every game just to see this. Disrespect to the fans. If you are a Buc you come out and completely destroy! Ill be watching.

Maybe after three coaches try to coach up this under talented bunch up to no avail, you guys will figure out what a failure we have been in the draft the last 5 years. In the last few years, the Panthers have built a Superbuc defense….we are still at square one or two. Oh, I know…it will be the next coaches fault as well.

We have about 6 or 8 really good players on this team…most are mediocre. When will you guys admit that we play up to our talent. I mean really…Offensively Jackson is a excellent player. Our O line is injury plagued and our best guys are getting old. We have a very good RB and a decent Rookie QB. McCoy….David…Revis….yeah….few pass rushers…Barron and two or three young guys developing but no Kuechley, and Goldson…if the hawk can stop crapping in the nest, he will be fine. So where is all the playoff talent you guys think we have?

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Dom go and Schiano kept for one more year. We desperately need a great personnel evaluator on this team, and Dom isn’t that guy. We can’t just improve our talent mostly with high priced FA’s. Then if the new GM thinks Schiano is bad, send him packing too.

Personnel evaluation? Keep Schiano, fire Dom? Schiano has cut Underwood (our best #3 statistically) multiple times. Schiano started Teo over Bowers, even when Bowers play was clearly better. We don’t know if Schiano or Dom, but Bennett walked, Blount was moved for nothing and is finding perfect value as a backup/returner (although we couldn’t use him at all, even as a backup and thought his hands were too poor to catch, much less return)

We needed to fire Allen and hired a good personnel D guy that didn’t love every player he saw. Don’t want to see that happen again. That is because of number of knowledgeable fans know that Gruden has the coaching ability to win a SB with the right talent, why wouldn’t they want him? Many Buc fans are lead around by the nose by local media personalities that know little more about football than we do, so they don’t know a good coach when he is in front of their face, the talent level of our team, or the quality of our management…other than what they are told. Maybe that is whey we are pounding sand while we will be hard pressed in the next couple of years to be better than more than one other team in our division.

Suck fest nearly complete. Just wanted to thank Greg for re-establishing the Bucs as the laughing stock of the league. 4 wins down from 7 last year. Check. Record setting number of penalties for Bucs. Check. Making weekly records for opposing qb’s in touchdowns and yards against our vaunted bend then break defense. Check. Totally out coached, out strategized, out adjusted, vanilla predictable play calling . Check. Lots of trick plays to compensate for our ineptness on offense. Check . Good grief!
