Bucs WR Anthony Mix was indicted for sex with a 15-year-old girl
UPDATE 7:08 p.m.: The Bucs announced late this afteroon that Anthony Mix was released from the team.
This is an ugly story about NFL journeyman and Bucs WR Anthony Mix, who was signed by Tampa Bay in January.
Mix allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old girl, reports the Press Register in Alabama, and was recently indicted after being arrested in January.
Joe is a bit troubled he remained on the Bucs roster all this time, and remains on the roster at this moment. (The Bucs announced Mix was released this afternoon.)
Do the Bucs really need this guy in camp? Allegedly, there is a committment to character with the Mark Dominik and Raheem The Dream regime.
Joe thinks it’s time to cut the guy immediately and worry about court rulings later. It’s hard enough to stomach Jerramy Stevens on the roster.

You might want to do a little homework before spouting off at the mouth, Joe. The girl allegedly had texted Anthony that she was 19. She has also had sex with over 10 guys in the last year and her mother had already filed charges against 2 other guys who were adults for the same thing. The mother had also tried to extort Anthony by telling him his problem would “go away” for the right price. None of this excuses him but it does shed a little more light on things. Stuff like this does and can happen to 25yr. old guys in Alabama.

Darnell McDonald seemed to have more talent and was released just days after he assaulted some dude in a road rage event on Dale Mabry and Kennedy a few years back. If it really is a scam being pulled on him because he is an NFL prospect then he should get his day in court if not throw him to the wolves.

Joe , you were outscooped. The pewter report, reported that he has been released so there must have been something to the story that led them to believe he was just a sh*tbag.
