“Really Pumped” Haason Reddick

April 2nd, 2025

Drew Rosenhaus talks about his client.

The Bucs are believing/hoping/praying they signed a beastly and hungry edge rusher in free agent Haason Reddick.

It was a critical move for Tampa Bay, so Joe tracked down superagent Drew Rosenhaus to talk about the move yesterday at the NFL owners meetings in Palm Beach.

Rosenhaus became Reddick’s agent last year after his Jets holdout got terribly messy and lasted into October.

Rosenhaus found a player that wanted to resolve his contract squabble with the Jets and get to work. And that’s what happened. Reddick reported to the Jets about a week after Rosenhaus came on board.

While Reddick’s 10-game stretch with New York yielded just two half-sacks, Rosenhaus said he can assure Bucs fans they’re getting a version of Reddick that will be much more like the guy who terrorized quarterbacks from 2020 through 2023.

“Haason, in all of our discussions, has been incredibly excited about signing with the Buccaneers,” Rosenhaus told Joe. “Really looking forward to playing for Coach Bowles and he knows [outside linebackers] Coach [Larry] Foote well. Really pumped about going to one of the better teams in the league. He’s really motivated to have a great season; last year was a challenging year for a lot of reasons. But he’s looking forward to rebounding and getting back in the Pro Bowl and All-Pro and hopefully winning a championship.”

Joe sure hopes Reddick appreciates playing for, like Rosenhaus said, one of the better NFL teams.

And not only is Reddick likely to get back in the playoffs, he’ll be worshipped by Bucs fans if his pass rush game is what it was with the Cardinals, Panthers and Eagles.

I’m going to put this down for year 2025. I believe Reddick will challenge Shaq and Sapp’s sack total for the Bucs this year !! There I said it !!!

    @OrlandoBucsFan

We all hope you’re right. It would be a fantastic thing if you are.

    I’m still cautiously optimistic.

No question in my mind Hassan can play like he did with the Eagles.

Just hoping he wants it as bad as we want it.

So an agent that can be trusted to tell Joe the truth? Wow!

    Hehehe

    Go Bucs!

  8. Proudbucsfan Says:

I like Reddick, but my guess is he gets 10 sacks and it opens up YaYa to be our sack leader this season.

  9. Scotty Mack Says:

If Reddick is anything close to what he was before last year, the Bucs are going to be the last team any team in the NFL wants to play. It will transform the defense entirely and, paired with what looks to again be a dominant offense, look out! This Bucs team will look a whole lot like the one that entered the 2020 playoffs. Barring injuries, of course!

  10. KABucs Says:

I agree that is the agent’s job to say that kind of thing. So he’s not giving us any news.

OrlandoBucsFan… If that actually happens, I will give you kudos without hesitation. Sacks in the high teens would be incredible… but I’d settle for less and be quite pleased still. If he only gets 10 but there an increase in sacks for other linemen = success!!

  11. Bucs Guy Says:

I will be very happy with 10 sacks and consistent pressures/hurries that force more attention on him and frees up others so the Bucs need to blitz less.

  12. BayouBullet Says:

If he wasn’t injured and he didn’t quit on his team and he was surrounded by quality players on the Jets defense why did he only have 2 half sacks in 10 games. Surely if he was rusty he could have gotten in game shape in 3 or 4 games. Something doesn’t add up.

  13. Joe Another BUCS Fan Says:

This will only make our secondary better exponentially

  14. Jake been there since the beginning Says:

If he could just show our young players how it’s done along with a guide personally written by him, I would really be greatful.. haha I didn’t include that the clinic was for the whole season man! I am happy with Reddick being in Tampa and we will see in a few months Nelly needs to get his take down method helped out lol!! Just don’t smash em and we’re good. Let’s Go Bucs!!!!

  15. Pickgrin Says:

How did Rosenhaus’ jbf nickname morph so quickly from”slimy” into “super agent”??

Joseph – looks like you’ve got something all over the tip of your nose – is that…? nah – nevermind…. couldn’t be…. jbf would never suck up to someone just for some juicy quotes….
