Cameron Jordan Downplays Bucs’ Division Success

April 9th, 2025

Hated Saints defensive end Cam Jordan.

Cameron Jordan has a unique place in Joe’s brain.

First, it starts with the ridiculous story of how and why the Bucs didn’t draft Jordan back in 2011. Why? He talked too much. Never mind the talent, size and the All-Pro pedigree.

Second, Jordan is the face of the slimy Saints and a notorious Bucs basher. Joe remembers Jordan’s iconic public rip of Bucs Super Bowl left tackle Donovan Smith in 2019.

And there was Jordan openly stating the Bucs would go back to being the miserable Bucs when Tom Brady left the building.

How wrong he was.

Today, Jordan was a guest host on NFL Network and was asked about the NFC South.

Oh, he acknowledged the Bucs must be knocked off, but he wouldn’t admit they’re atop a high division mountain.

“You’re climbing a hill. But let’s just not say they’re running away with it,” Jordan said of Tampa Bay. “The last three years, I think, you know they clearly won the NFC South this last year at 10-7, the year before that 9-8, the year before that 8-9 — c’mon, let’s just say it’s definitely attainable to go after.”

Joe has a firm one-finger salute Jordan, though Joe could understand a bit of Jordan’s take on the Bucs. With a must-win home game last season in Week 18 against the five-win Saints, a tanking and injured team that already fired its head coach and was playing a scrub quarterback, the Bucs trailed in the fourth quarter.

It was unthinkable.

Still, Jordan is a clown and Joe can’t wait to watch the Saints have another poor season, one that sees them stunned again that their old roster broke down.

  1. Teflon Don Says:

Wouldn’t expect anything less than this from Cam Jordan. Career buc hater who’s now a bum and his talking off the field is better than his play on the field

  2. BucEmUp Says:

I agree 100% the bucs are not even close to being a dominant team. On offense? Yes! On defense, it’s not even close. Like Ronde said, the defense has okay stats but they never make the big plays in big moments when it’s needed most. The secondary it atrocious and of the panthers and falcons improve as expected ill bet a decent amount amount of money comftorbaly that not only will they not win the south but they will also miss the playoffs all together. Anyone with half an eyeball can see our secondary is the biggest weakness

  3. HC Grover Says:

The down in the dump division.

  4. HC Grover Says:

    Todd will keep it close.

  5. Smarter than Joe Says:

Ringless Cam Jordan loves to talk

It’s always nice to see the Aints be in last place a irrelevant

  6. Peter Says:

Lot of talk for someone who had 4 sacks last year

  7. Obvious Says:

    Hold on now..

I’ve got a middle finger that’s Risen to it peak for old “toothless dog” there as well.

Well, The whole secondary is run by a man that was an actual secondary player, considers himself a defensive genius. This whole ranking of 30th/31st WORST secondary in the ENTIRE LEAGE clearly must be a mistake!

We should let the head coach run the defense! Oh wait……..

  8. bucnjim Says:

I don’t think many players like him! Actually talked to a starting lineman who plays in the NFC South (not the Bucs) and he called him a little B!TCH. I had to laugh because this was completely unsolicited.

  9. Jeffs grandpa Says:

Didn’t he have like 0.5 sacks last year

  10. Obvious Says:

Seems to me that eventually somebody is gonna check him into knocked the F…. Out hospital one of these days. He isn’t nowhere near the condition to be PRETENDING that he’s the baddest man on the planet.

LOVE to see big mouth in the octagon so he can show everybody just how tough he is. Mr. 4 sacks is so scary as a REAL BA BEATS THE BRAKES RIGHT OFF OF HIM!

I’d pay a little extra to have his teeth collected off the mat and displayed in a trophy case…

I don’t mind saying it but I’m pretty sure Jason Licht wouldn’t draft him today either. That guy IS NOT the prototype that is the glue of the Buccaneer Man. You get dirty just thinking about it.

He couldn’t possibly be good for a locker room and I have No Doubt as to where the dirty play comes from concerning the saints.

  11. ballwasher61 Says:

Yeah he’s an arrogant BEE-AUCH. That not withstanding he’s not wrong about what COULD HAVE HAPPENED before this year but didn’t and I don’t believe this bag-o-haggis knows doodly, he’s just a whiner, always has been.

  12. ballwasher61 Says:

He’s the NFC south role model for tallest walking member

  13. KABucs Says:

If any NFC South team gives the Bucs competition to take the division, it won’t be the Saints. They lost a ton of talent this offseason and are older than dirt. When Collin Cowturd said he thought the Bucs were getting old and the Falcons ascending (that takes unfamiliar?) he was definitely thinking of the Saints at the time. Just a national talking head who pays no attention to the NFC South but just talks out his arse for hot takes.

I honestly think will win the division but I don’t know which team will be better, Atlanta or Carolina. I think one of those two takes the second spot and the Saints finish last with no more than five wins. Just my opinion… pre-draft of course.

  14. Aqualung Says:

    ballwasher61 – nice!

  15. WanderingWallflower Says:

Jordan isn’t wrong about how the Bucs have won. Amy certainty about winning the NFC South is deeply based upon the lack of talent on the other three rosters. He’s the kind of player most would love, were he on their team.

  16. heyjude Says:

Why do venues keep letting him host? I don’t get it. He just likes hearing himself talk.

  17. Saskbucs Says:

Jordan didn’t notice a trend running down those records… Bucs arrow and wins going up.

Saints haha. Jordan must be in the GMs ear. “We are close, keep it going gotta sign some guys.” What a waste. I’d be so mad if I was a Saints fan, they can’t be spending money. I would have eaten a bunch of Carr dough and shipped him to Pitt. Not signed Young for $50 million (haha), left Jordan on the street. I just truly don’t understand what they think they are doing.

  18. Leopold Stotch Says:

Cope and seethe, Cam, cope and seethe. Proof is in the pudding, right?

  19. Fan of the South Says:

Even with a weak link at Defensive End the Saints still gave up only13 more points on the season than the Bucs. That was with one game accounting for 14% of their total points given up and that was a 50 Burger.

Moore and Canales will have the Saints and Panthers Offense producing more and if they can both manage not to be the two worse teams against the run then NFCS Division games are going to be more competitive and the Race will tighten up.

Then you throw in the Falcons with their new QB or a finally healthy Cousins as back up /insurance then 8 wins could once again be the magic number.

NFCW is always tough and AFCE is going to be much improved too.

  20. Rod Munch Says:

I mean he’s not wrong. The NFC South has been the weakest division in football for years — all while owning the Eagles, which is why it’s such a huge deal that Baker choked and lost the Redskins game, because if he doesn’t fumble, the Bucs go to Philly and win that game, and the entire attitude on the Bucs and Baker and Bowles all turns around. Instead, Baker is a guy who has now collapsed in the 4th quarter of two straight playoff games, and Bowles has a rep for being middling and only getting by because he’s in a weak division.

Everything could be different if Baker doesn’t fumble.

  21. BA’s Red Pen Says:

    F Cam Jordan,

  22. drdneastup Says:

Every Bucs fan despises Jordan but at one time he could have been on our squad if the moronic Mark Dominick had chosen him instead of the one armed
Adrian Clayborn. Sort of like picking Logan Hall instead of George Karlaftis

  23. JimBobBuc Says:

Jordan is right. The Bucs are barely winning the worst division. The Bucs need to dominate the sub 500 teams in the division and start winning some big games outside the division! LFG!

  24. Irishmist Says:

Hey Cam, how much is the bounty this year?

  25. Scotty Mack Says:

I fully expect Jordan’s Saints to finish dead last in the division this year. Sounds like a pretty steep mountain to me!

  26. Scotty Mack Says:

Not sure why everyone takes it as fact that the NFC South is the worst division in football. I think the AFC South has been the worst for several years running.

  27. BucDawg Says:

    NFC South = NFC Least

That’s why Faker and Toilet Bowles can walk ass backward into a meaningless division crown.

It’s their Superbowl after all. Or as close as they’ll ever get to one with Bowles as the HC.

    28-27

  28. Buc off Says:

    He’s washed

  29. JustVisiting Says:

I’d love to see TB win another Superbowl, but I’m not talking smack about any team that gets to 10-7, playing against other pros who want to win just as bad.

  30. MadMax Says:

Getting a little fame with our name….it must suck to be a simp

  31. Rob Says:

Has anyone told Cam that the Bucs can’t win the division without the saints being even worse?

  32. 2025 and beyond Says:

Not a biased opinion at all – and no one talks Cam Jordan as an impact player. He shows up on shows and podcasts, NOT on the field.

Cmon Cam – maybe if you draft Shaduer you will be bad enough to then draft Arch

    it’s curtains for that dump

  33. Saul Says:

I know running the ball wins a lot of regular season games but won’t get you deep in the playoffs. Example how many championships Lamar Jackson has?? Go with your bread and butter and get the ball to Mike and Chris!! Todd is a great defensive coach but he plays zone defense and the Bucs get tore apart every time!! What’s wrong playing man to man throughout the game?? Stop playing zone and the Bucs will have another championship!!

  34. adam from ny Says:

with canales doing pretty good stuff over there in carolina, the saints could very well be the south cellar dwellers this year…

    is jordan ready for that…?

it’s a very realistic scenario – and not coming from a hater’s pov

  35. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Truth hurts. Cam Jordan is right.

The Bucs have had the benefit of playing in a very weak division.

  36. garro Says:

Ahh and I was just wondering if the Taints number one ass hat had retired and taken a job with BSPN to do play by play for the deaf.

    Go Bucs!

  37. Lynn Says:

    Hey Cam!
Just shut up already and worry about your slimy team!! It’s so great that the Bucs live rent free in his pea brain! Funny when we played them last season I didn’t even realize he was in the game!

  38. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

Bucs are winning due to the crappy NFCS. Guess what Cam – your crappy team is the worst in the crappy division. Make some plays, get out of the cellar, then maybe someone will listen to you. Bozo.

  39. Krewe Since Birth Says:

Cam’s not wrong. Frankly, the Bucs have been best described as mediocre since Arians retired. 8-9. 9-8, 10-7… that’s barely above .500, if you aren’t counting.

  40. lambchop Says:

This whiny POS talked trash about Ryan Jensen too. He’s got a fragile ego that Big Red was sure to shove down his throat. Goedeke will make sure he gets a piece of this aging has-been this season. Can’t wait to see his zero stat line again.

  41. SlyPirate Says:

I get what he is saying.

He’s just saying the Bucs haven’t dominated the division with a massive amount of wins. The division has come down to the final game the last three years.

  42. StormyInFL Says:

Jordan needs to worry about not finishing behind Carolina.

  43. Nate Says:

Sometimes pros just need to face the fact that they are done and the drama queen, grab a snickers bar act, will not increase popularity or attention. TuCam Sam Jordan can eat his way into a group of bitter players that never could. For instance, our never ending story A-Aron Rodger’s who thinks he is the most elite QB to ever act like a hippie on the field. There always has been a reason we never drafted him. It wasn’t a mistake, it was always about the person. He simply was never a Bucc, he definitely is no Saint, and will always question his own career and moves for the rest of his trash talking post career. Cam Sucks

  44. #1bucsfan Says:

As good as he was I’m glad he never played for us. JOE he does talk to much. Way to much

  45. garro Says:

    What he said!

    Go Bucs!
