“Unbelievable” Must Be Rewarded
March 31st, 2025So the annual NFL owners meetings are well underway at the swanky grounds of The Breakers in Palm Beach.
Kay Adams is here, and no, Joe is not looking for her at the pool like a twisted creeper.
The Up & Adams host has been busy today talking to NFL general managers. Buccaneers Ring of Honor GM Jason Licht didn’t make today’s cut to sit with Adams, but Adams did chat with Eagles GM Howie Roseman, a guy whose built a hell of a team culture. While Roseman’s Eagles have struggled while playing the Bucs for years, there’s no denying his culture- and roster-building has been extraordinary.
Interestingly, Roseman sounded a lot like Licht today when talking about keeping stud players.
“We have to have a culture to where when people do unbelievable things, that they get rewarded for those,” Roseman said.
Man, Joe heard that and wondered why the Eagles and new Bucs edge rusher Hasson Reddick couldn’t reach a new contract after Reddick was an absolute terror for the Eagles during the 2022 and 2023 seasons (27 sacks). What’s the cold hard truth? Instead, Philadelphia traded Reddick to the Jets and proceeded to win the Super Bowl while Reddick pouted and then floundered.
What a wild card crazy-talented Reddick is for the Bucs’ 2025 season. Joe can’t wait to hear Todd Bowles first public take on Reddick tomorrow morning.

Only a twisted creeper would try to tell you he’s not a twisted creeper.
I really don’t see what the big deal is about her to be honest.
Pretty face for sure, but needs some meat on those bones.
Get her some cheeses burgers, fries and a milk shake or two.
This Dawg likes them with a little extra to spare.

Hes playing on a one year deal for a promising team. He’s going to do good. Get some corners Jason

We are close. Real Close.

He was being unreasonable and asking for too much money. Obviously, NO ONE else either, believed HE was worth the type of contract that he was demanding. They had many other ‘younger’ players to re-sign/extend first (or upcoming), at much more important positions. It’s a matter of numbers… They looked at his age and what (number of years and $$$$) he was DEMANDING, & they just said, “Nah, We Good.”

Joe, I wouldn’t fault you if you were indeed looking for Adams by the pool.

It was his OWN fault. NO ONE was giving HIM a big ‘multi-year’ deal worth the $25-$30MIL that HE was demanding. He misjudged his worth going into his age 30 season. HE was too stubborn about it never willing to negotiate. Sounded like he was either getting LOTS of bad advice, or was just being stubborn about a lot of things happening in his life, around that same time. Whatever, HE ended up costing HIMSELF a ton of $$$$, that he’ll probably never be able to recover at this point.

From the title of the article, I initially thought that the Joe’s were referring to ‘unbelievable’, a commenter on this website!

Jason and Howie are reportedly friends, so I trust that Jason talked to Howie about Reddick.

Jason said today that Rosen was one of his best friends.

I’m looking for Adams by the pool, in the lobby or doing laundry and I’m not even there….

If you remember Eagles fell apart that season losing like 7 in a row. I wonder if Reddick was a part of that bad culture that season and why he was traded. I hope that’s not the case but certainly could of been a possibility

I thought I read it here that Reddick was more concerned with padding his personal stats than sticking to the game plan. Too often he was out of position. They couldn’t depend on him being where he was supposed to be. I don’t know if it’s true, but I just want the Bucs pass defense to get respectable again.

Would love to reward this guy for 15 unbelieaveable sacks. Show me sir!
This ain’t freaking Philly but we send players packing too.

Joe, you spent a year pining for this guy, Reddick. Now that he’s here, you seem to have buyer’s remorse. You are Sean Sullivan’s nightmare customer.
No buyer’s remorse at all. Still a strong upgrade. One Joe has studied the Jets film and has concern when you throw in he’s about to turn 31.-Joe

No, no, no, no, no, no! Joe LOVES that the Bucs finally got an edge rusher. You haven’t read Joe whine about no pass rush the past month, have you? 🙂
