Not true.

Even with Twitter being down most of this morning and still buggy this afternoon, misinformation can fly fast.

Fast enough that it roused the shot-caller of the Bucs, that’s Mr. AC/DC-lover himself, Jason Licht.

Per the creator, curator and overall guru of Pro Football Talk, the great Mike Florio, some inaccurate transaction news was twittered out. Twitter being Twitter, the incorrect transaction claiming Licht signed running back Samaje Perine quickly caught fire and began to spread quicker than a Malibu wildfire.

Licht doused the flames in a hurry, retweeting the bad tweet with the words, “No we did not.”

End of (bad) story.

Cursory knowledge of the Bucs’ depth chart at running back should have been a pretty glaring tip that Licht likely had no interest in signing a backup running back.

Still, that shows the power of Twitter, even when it’s badly malfunctioning.
