Chaos In Atlanta

March 11th, 2025

Reeling.

There are more than a few giant smiles at JoeBucsFan.com world headquarters, and they’re not just about the Bucs signing a quality edge rusher and Chris Godwin.

Joe had some laughs looking at the slimy Saints hanging their edge rusher hopes on Chase Young (new three-year deal) and washed out Cameron Jordan. Oh, and they’re sticking with Derek Carr.

But the big smiles came at the plight of the Falcons. They cut their stud defensive tackle Grady Jarrett this week (he signed fast with the Bears) and lost their quality center, Drew Dalman, in free agency.

It seems like the Falcons tried to keep Dalman, a renowned run blocker, but he chased the money in Chicago.

Atlanta has yet to replace Jarrett and Dalman, but they did sign an inside linebacker that’s weak in pass coverage, former Raiders LB Divine Deablo.

Joe’s really enjoying the Falcons-fan angst on social media.

  1. Smarter than Joe Says:

Just laugh at any franchise that trust Raheem as their head coach

  2. BuckyBuc Says:

    Good

  3. gbobucsfan Says:

Joe, you called it last year….Cousins would sink the Falcons. So far that is the case! Most expensive backup QB in NFL history!

  4. ElioT Says:

In the words of Nelson Muntz – “HA! HA!”

  5. Pickgrin Says:

I think last year was an aberration for Reddick – and that the Bucs (albeit for just 1 year) got the better pass rusher than the Saints – for less money! (Young was signed for 3 years at $51M)

New Orleans has no chance. They have royally flucked themselves with irresponsible and unmanageable debt.

The Falcons are getting worse – while the Buccaneers are getting better.

Carolina might just surprise and become the 2nd best team in the division this year – Smilin’ Dave hopes so anyway…..

  6. Lokog Says:

I would rather have baker mayfield at qb than a carr those carr’s straight up suck franks n beans

  7. Jeffs grandpa Says:

Radio Morris back at it again

  8. Truth be Told Says:

Nothing to worry about there or the Saints. The Panthers stink so that makes 3 weak teams in our Division. Sounds good to me. Go Bucs!!

  9. Teacherman Says:

I wish we had signed Grady Jarrett!

    He’s awesome!

  10. August 1976 Buc Says:

The dirty birds will still be a problem for the Bucs again in 2025
Bucs have to generate a consistant pass rush to go deep in the playoffs.

  11. Hodad Says:

I’ll save my laughs for when we beat them this season? Last year they swept us with Kurt Cousins. No laughing matter.

  12. Joseph C Simmons Says:

This. I ain’t laughing when someone can always call back “scoreboard”.

  13. Aqualung Says:

The only reason Cousins started as long as he did in 2024 stands on the sidelines for the Bucs.

The corrolary to the Cousins phenomenon is Kyle Pitts. He, too, did the bulk of his receiving production against the Bucs. Cousins and Pitts played other less talented defenses than the Bucs and looked like scrubs.

What the Bucs did when playing Atlanta was truly special.

Jason, the Glazers, and the fans all (mostly) know, this must change in 2025.

  14. Saskbucs Says:

Tough for Falcons to call scoreboard on us. We gifted them 2 wins, had a tougher schedule and won the division 2 games ahead. I’ll take that scoreboard. They won the battle but lost the war.

If Young is “fixed” … Panthers are gonna be the biggest threat in the division I think. Can pretty much book all the teams in our division for 6-9 wins. We win 10+ and I would be shocked if we weren’t crowned again.

  15. Rastaferian Jenkins Says:

They swept us last year… let’s not be cocky. We needed tiebreakers to sneak in

  16. SlyPirate Says:

NFCS Champ x5 is a lock.
Let’s get a vet MLB and CB and then move onto the draft.

  17. Baking with Grizz Says:

    NFC SOUTH CAMPS!
5 in a row. You can take that to the bank.
    LFG!!!!!

  18. TampaBayBucFan Says:

    Falcons are f–cked

    Saints are $hitty

    Panthers are pu$$ies

    Bucs are AWESOME!!!

  19. Fred McNeil Says:

I always liked Rah as a coach. I always wondered what made the bottom fall out his last year here after such a promising start.

  20. drdneast Says:

Raheem probably sees a drinking buddy in Deablo like he had in Freeman.

  21. Pewter Power Says:

Cutting Grady Jarrett is more GM than head coach. I People think that radio Raheem nickname sounds cool and funny but it’s not so do the right thing and try not to use it.

2026 Saints cap will be good, the Falcons are the ones going into salary cap hell. If you don’t have a Jason Licht type GM Raheem won’t be head coach for long.

  22. Mach Says:

Finished 9th in the NFL last year. 6th in landing punts inside the 20.

Also a former QB with good fake punt ability. Definitely a good pickup and will keep defenses guessing with trick plays in addition to good punting. Also a proven veteran which will bring some stability to the position.

  23. ATrain Says:

    Well mediocre Coach at Best
    Mediocre Team

    Good for Bucs

    Keep all that Trash

  24. KABucs Says:

Fred, you meant to say you always liked Rah as a person, seems like a good dude. He has a long way to go to prove he’s a decent head coach

I posted in a different thread earlier that I see some serious trouble for the Saints and falcons due to free agency vacancies. Those two teams have to draft really, really well and they don’t have a Jason Licht and our scouting team. I predict Carolina second best record in NFCS, unless they really screw up their draft.
Bucs win 5th div title unless the injury luck is worse than last year.
Injuries are always the unpredictable wild card for everybody.

  25. ThatAintRight! Says:

I’m not really worried by any means of ATL, but I do think we have to respect them and for many reasons.

    1. Raheem morris was in TB for awhile. Once upon a time for a brief period he was in Tampa because we saw something in him. Okay…. So he’s deserving of his title I think. Others saw what he was bringing to the table also.

    2. We lost two games and both times to ATL last year. We snuck in a division title, but it wasn’t an easy one last season. Have to respect the team whom we lose to the season prior. It’s not smart to go disrespecting anyone, because you never know what you’re gonna get from them when they come at you next time around. So sit back relax and take it with a grain of salt.

    3. ATL just has a lot of young talent. Specially on the offensive side of the ball.
They’re going to be the biggest competitor in this baker era it looks like.
We better get ready on defense to shut them down. I know I am ready to see them start losing games again 🙂

Never pick the dirty birds lol

Can’t wait for Vita to smash Bijan Robinson. 🙂

  26. Cobraboy Says:

    “Radio Morris” is funny.

His Buc HC tenure was an embarrassing disorganized disaster.

    He made Schiano look solid.

    Schiano: “Toes on the line.”

Radio: “First round is on me.”

So he’s a great fit for Artie Blank.

  27. gotbbucs Says:

I laugh at the Falcons if we can beat them. Raheem is a clown show, and he swept Bowles last year.
Almost unforgivable loses in my book.

  28. FrontFour Says:

I’ll laugh when we sweep the Dirty Birds….

  29. MelvinJunior Says:

Saints are tanking for Manning 💯. Shew, I hope to GOD they don’t get HIM.

  30. Allbuccedup Says:

Bucs should be 6-0 in the division. Rah Rah is a clown show waiting for the circus, Canales and his high school quarterback waiting for prom tickets and finally Kid Kellen Moore the junior high school coach who just recently grew out of puberty waiting for another Manning clone

  31. Darin Says:

Chaos Joe? Wow you’re really craving your soap operas today. I’m sure you can find reruns online.

  32. Iron Wombat Says:

As long as Atlanta is being run by shadow GM Rich McKay it’s going to look like a clown show.

  33. Mike Johnson Says:

lagh all you like. But you can never count Rah out. After all, they whipped up on us 2 times last season. Remember that final Cousins drive on Thursday night football where we could not stop a parked car? Painful. I’ll laughed when we beat then again. But for now, ATL rules us.

  34. Curse of Gruden Says:

Good point Mike J – Raheem the Dream did beat us twice last year. I will laugh after a win over ATL. No need to have old-lady Karma rooting against the Bucs.

    BINGO!! Sad but true!

The Falcons and Rah are trying to get “youngry”!

  36. garro Says:

The Birdy Boys have lost their collective minds. Blanc may have a touch of Alzhiemers going on it seems to me. Fontenot running things there? Some nutty stuff happening in Atlanta for sure.

All sounds good for us in Tampa though Joe.

    Go Bucs!

  37. It's Corn Says:

And yet we’ll still have to watch them picked by talking heads to win the division.

  38. Robert Says:

Division games are always tough. We should win all 6 but is see 4-2 in reality.
