Tristan Wirfs Named First Team All-Pro

January 10th, 2025

Well deserved!

Tristan Wirfs is this year’s All-Pro left tackle, as voted by the Associated Press panel of 50 voters, a mix of media types and ex-players that includes Sage of Tampa Bay Sports Ira Kaufman, the JoeBucsFan.com columnist.

What a transition Wirfs made. He was an All-Pro right tackle before switching left last season.

You never k ow what these dudes are like behind “the curtain” but damned if we don’t have a lot of guys that seem like great dudes and I love to see them get recognition. Congrats Tristan. Well earned.

  5. SB Says:

I reported this two days ago.

  6. SB Says:

    Sorry ……….Yesterday

  7. Dew Says:

And by moving to LT will considerably increase his lifetime earnings.

  8. Saskbucs Says:

Deservedly so. Should have an even cleaner resume from this season since refs were giving him the odd phantom holding penalty.

Gonna be nice to have this HoF on the line for hopefully the next decade.

  9. ModHairKen Says:

Wirfs. Evans. Winfield. David. Mayfield. Godwin. Vea.

These are the best of their positions. It’s an amazing assembly of talent.

  10. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Nice

  11. BuckyBuc Says:

    Go Bucs

  12. Kenton Smith Says:

Watching Wirfs play is easy. He makes football look easy. When he talks he makes that look easy. He seemingly makes life look easy. No idea where he came from or how he got there. It’s been said about some “They were born for this.” Tristan Wirfs was “born” for this.

  13. Mike Johnson Says:

True Beastly Pirate walkin the plank and patrolling the high seas. Congrats Tristian.

  14. Pickgrin Says:

    Congrats Tristan.

    Deserved and earned accolade.

Wirfs has been playing hurt the last few weeks so bonus points and I hope he’s getting healthy just in time for the playoffs.

  15. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

Not too bad for the fourth tackle taken that year.

Many fans had doubts when JL had TW78 moved to the left side of the O-line, including myself! Now there’s total VALIDATION!! Congrats TW78!!

  20. Leopold Stotch Says:

    LET’S GO!

  21. JimBobBuc Says:

    Congrats Tristan, well deserved!!!!

  22. Gipper Says:

Great player. After playing days are over, I hope he and Vea hit the swimming pool to each lose about 100lbs. Know several lineman who have done this and they look more like basketball players today than former NFL linemen.

  23. Rod Munch Says:

Congrats to Wirfs … but how in the world is David once again given the shaft? The guy is having one of his best seasons ever. Man, just incredible disrespect for what should be a future 1st ballot HOFer.

  24. Uhhmm Says:

And once again lavonte gets Fuc&%$#

  25. Deuceswild78 Says:

One of many great picks that keep this train ride going…go bucs

  26. AL121976 Says:

    Someone give SB a cookie

  27. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Oh, but the sky is falling! Some critics were vehemently against moving such a stud to a new position, perhaps weakening two positions with one move. Leave well enough alone! Don’t fix something not broken!

Surprise! In reality, Tristan Wirfs’ transition from right to left tackle has been a resounding success. His exceptional performance has solidified the offensive line, contributing significantly to the team’s recent achievements. This move, initially met with skepticism by a vocal minority, has proven to be a strategic masterstroke, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our offensive front.

  28. BradyGronk Fan Says:

Congrats. What an accomplishment. An allpro is very difficult to get and is something two of the most accomplished current Bucs, David and Evans don’t have.

  29. Patrickbucs Says:

Love Lavante, he’s not playing like an All-Pro this year like last year, imo.

  30. TheMightyVH Says:

I know we are all excited about Sunday and what lies ahead short term but lets look long term –

Wirfs anchors are VERY young and talented OL. I mean this is a top 5 group in the NFL and they are only going to get better. Not many of the previous 48 Tampa Bay Buccaneer rosters can equate. In fact, this could be the best group ever here.

Now if only Jason L can mirror the talent on the other side of the ball.

  31. heyjude Says:

Awesome and kudos to Wirfs. Well deserved!

  32. ATLBuc Says:

All I needed to see was him stand waist high in a pool and jump out of the pool onto the deck. G

  33. ATLBuc Says:

    …game over!!!!

  34. Vanessa Anne Says:

    Congratulations Tristan!!
