  1. Oxycondomns Says:

i put little confidence. he isnt the worst coach in the league but how can anyone be confident of the way the bucs defense has started the game against bad teams. the only good first half recently was against the chargers when bowles realized herbert couldnt move . it took him awhile to figure that out also. as a bucs fan and someone who likes bowles i hope he can come through its the best matchup against a rookie qb what more can you ask for

  2. heyjude Says:

    Confident.

  3. Mac Says:

Lattimore is a full go today foe the commanders. Not good for Mike Evans. Love Evans but Lattimore owns him.

  4. Davenport Says:

    Confident?
Can’t you guys make up your mind – he’s a career loser. This years limited success come from a weak division and a good OC.

  5. Herbiebuc Says:

@oxycondomns I think the slow start is somewhat strategic. Yes the defense gives up yards in the first half not so much points. Gronk called it out on the halftime show, and Todd came out and did exactly that he adjusts to how the opposing team is playing. It’s reason the Bucs are so dominant 3rd and 4th quarter

  6. GoneGator Says:

Winfield looking good for Sunday. Otton and Dean trending up 👍🏼

  7. Again Says:

    Fire Todd .500 Bowles

  8. Bucs Fan From Philly Says:

Confident is far as it goes. That first half vs the Saints a few dasy ago in what essentially was a playoff game for the Bucs, has me scared. We can either show up or come out flat. Especially when its the defense that is on the field getting torched and our coach is a defensive guy. That scares me. I get the injuries, but getting torched by backups recently, and now a pro bowl rookie qb who can run scares me.

Where is the confidence meter for our offense? I believe it will be a shoot out and our offense will help us win.

  9. Tye Says:

There is a difference between fandom and dumb fan….

Those who are the fandom knows the difference!

  10. GoneGator Says:

Confident in Todd more than I am confident in our personnel in the secondary.
I’m sure Todd and the D coaches will prepare the guys and have a solid plan but the players play and not the coaches. It’s on the players to execute and fulfill their assignments – every play.

The game itself could go a lot of ways. We’ve all seen the team look great on both sides of the ball. We’ve seen the Defense underperform and give up lots of yards. We’ve seen the offense sluggish and mistake prone.

Lets just hope THE TEAM comes out sharp and every player does his job to the best of his ability every play. If that happens we win.

  11. Oxycondomns Says:

@herbiebuc playoff teams are different than the teams the bucs have been beating. it didnt work against the rams in the playoffs and against the cowboys first half deficit was to hard to overcome . i feel like last year vs lions was better bucs defense were in it till dean got hurt. so theres hope but im not confident

  12. BucsBeast Says:

No one is worried about the offense putting up points.
Everyone the other hand doesn’t trust the defense.
Bowles gameplan and game management will be the deciding factor.

  13. Bucswin! Says:

I’m hoping they bring their A game even B would do it. They don’t have to play great just good. Mayfield is the X factor. If he plays great we are good and will be in control of the game. If he struggles it’s Bowles fault. Math. GO BUCS!

  14. Jack Sparrow Says:

Dont screw up this one, Todd !!

  15. SB Says:

Tristen Wirfs First Team All Pro Left Tackle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. BucsfaninOregon Says:

Little Confidence for me. I was ready to puke the 1st half of the Saints game. Told my GF, “At least they will have to fire TB”. Then a sweet 2nd half. You can’t tell me we were executing a rope-a-dope plan in 1st half. They were able to execute a turn around and save his butt.

TB has a record of slooow starts through the years and many times there is no come back. Too many of those for me. You can’t win SBs with slow starts against good teams.

  17. stpetebucsfan Says:

Forget about Dangerfield and the Bucs and explain this to me…

Lots of remarks about how the Bucs have fared this year, how inconsistent yada yada, but it seems to me virtually EVERY team in the league has had some incredible inconsistencies show up in games.

Kansas City is widely regarded as the best team in the league with the best QB and the best HC. If you wish to nitpick and name another team rock on but IMHO you have to beat the King before you can be the King. As long as the Chiefs hold on to the Lombardi they are the BEST!!!

So how did they dominate…er do. They won their first 4 games by an average of 5 points. They finally won one by 13 then 7 then needed OT to dispose of the Bucs by 3. Won their next game by 2 eaked out a 3 point win against the powerhouse Panthers, 2 point win against the Raiders…yet NOBODY talks about luck when it comes to the Chiefs. Nobody talks about inconsistency.

I get it they are the Champs and have earned their bones. My point is not to diminish a GREAT team, QB and HC but to point out it’s the freaking NFL not college!!! EVERY player on an NFL roster was a STAR on his college team.

The draft has worked to create parity. You may prefer the old way of dynasties like the Steelers, Cowboys, Niners etc but KC is probably the closest you’re going to get to a dynasty and you can see even they struggled at times.

I swear it’s like some here believe you just fill out your roster and the right Coach will get you to the SB.

Just remember 70% of all Buc’s HC’s had losing records. Only 30% (4 of them) have winning records and two Chucky and Bowles are just a whisker above .500.

Back to the oldies and Ringo Starr…”It Don’t Come Easy”!!!

  18. orlbucfan Says:

Confident. By the way Tye, I’m no dumb fan. stpete’s comment about the Chiefs is a good one.

  19. unbelievable Says:

@St Pete – that’s a good post, but I majorily disagree with one point: Almost everyone has been talking about how lucky the Chiefs have been this year, how much questionable officiating has helped them in key moments, etc. (including against us). But otherwise it’s a good post. There’s no style points in the NFL.

That said, I’d trust the Chiefs defense 100 times out of 100 times over the Bucs defense… But I’d take our offense over theirs any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

  20. GoneGator Says:

    @stpete
I appreciate your stamina – lol. You can lead them to water…..
    Bucs =
Most wins in the NFC since 2020
    4 straight division titles.

    Defense last 7 games
    17 ppg
But but but Dan Campbell has injuries too and look at them….
    Detroit defense last 7 games
    23.6 ppg
But but but our schedule was soft
Detroit has played Chicago twice (allowed 20 & 17) and San Fran (allowed 34) as well as allowing 48 to the Bills and 31 to Green Bay in their last 7 along with Sunday nights great defensive performance.

Hats off to Glenn (not Campbell) for designing a great game plan and shame on Minnesota for being caught completely off guard and unprepared for heavy blitzing.

Who hired Canales and then Coen ? Who advocated for bringing Baker on board ? Whos kept the team focused enough to be in the playoffs – NOW – in spite of the constant turd hunting some of you guys engage in and all the “outside noise” . And still some of y’all, in the midst of trying to win a playoff game, the start of the real football season, are calling for his head. I really can’t understand some people.

  21. Buc4evr Says:

Not worried about Lattimore as long as Evans runs past him on deep routes and doesn’t get tied up fighting with him. Problem is that Evan’s wants to get his shots in. lol.

  22. NJbucs23 Says:

This poll is like the stock market. Up and down

Was awesome to be in the building Sunday to see Mike keep streak going. But first half. Holy crap

  23. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @unbelievable

“Almost everyone has been talking about how lucky the Chiefs have been this year,”

I certainly take your point. I disagree perhaps with “almost everyone” but I concede every sentient fan here shares those kind of sentiments. I don’t btw.
Again it’s the NFL and so I respect the Chiefs success. and do not call it luck.

But that’s my fundamental point. I’m not elevating Dangerfield to Andy Reid status because he hasn’t EARNED it. I’m simply pointing out how hard it is to win and even the very BEST coach in the league with the best QB has to work at it. Somehow there are some here who thing Dangerfield should just send guys out to play and it’s all golden.

My major problem, again having been on the receiving end of such unwarranted criticism, is that many, not all here, FOCUS on Todd’s shortcomings without ever providing any balance or context.

I made money on the Bucs this year. That’s because if you picked your spots the Bucs generally covered the spread.

Start with the fundament stat. Games won. Bet the O/U at 7.5 and it’s the most certain bet I’ve made in my life. I didn’t even lose the faith during the losing streak. But I did not take the Bucs against N.O. because I thought 13.5 was absurd!! Are the Bucs 13.5 points better…perhaps but not on a consistent basis.

The Rams beat the Saints by just seven…the Commanders by one…the Saints beat the Falcons, it was just too much to cover for me.

The Bucs are 3 point favorites and I hestitate to wager at that line because IMHO this is a pickem game. It’s a VERY even matchup.

I’m rooting for the Bucs, feel they can certainly win, but so can the Commanders. Too much riding on officiating, the bounce of an oblong ball already for me to give points in a pickem game.

  24. Pewter Power Says:

Uh you know it’s a weak division if you can win it with 8 wins then 9 and this year 10 this year. Winning a division with at 8-9 is bragging rights I guess. Anyway if you haven’t noticed lattimore hasn’t been a threat to Mike Evans for at least 2 years. The stats would probably look better if it weren’t for his pi calls. Dude is washed up now and we’ll see it Sunday night.

  25. SoCalBucsFan79 Says:

I don’t get the arguments about Bucs winning a weak division… as there isn’t a mechanism in the league that “re-balances” divisions nor some regulation-promotion structure that stacks better teams in a stronger division tier yearly. Divisions are immutable and evolve over time, waning and waxing in talent and results, but the same four regionally aligned teams stay together. Since 2002 the first year of the current 16 team 4 division structure, the NFC South has represented the NFC in the Super Bowl six times (Tampa 2002, 2020; Atlanta 2016; Carolina 2003, 2015, New Orleans 2010) or 27.3% (6 of 22 seasons), whereas the NFC East has sent 5 teams to the Super Bowl (Philadelphia 2004, 2017, 2022; NY Giants 2007, 2011) and the NFC North has represented the Conference just twice (Chicago 2006, Green Bay 2010), but is getting all the credit this season for sending 3 double-digit teams to the current playoffs. The rest of the NFC representatives have came from the Western Division (San Francisco 2012, 2019, 2023; Seattle 2005, 2013, 2014; Los Angeles 2018, 2021; Arizona 2008) for a whopping 9 times. 3 teams Detroit, Minnesota and Washington are in these playoffs but have yet to represent the conference in the Super Bowl. For a weak division the NFC South is only second to the NFC West when it comes to representing in the biggest game of all.

  26. Pewter Power Says:

That’s a really big word salad. When media says it no one cares. Winning a division with 8 wins makes it weak but doesn’t change the fact that it’s going to take the nfc south rosters a while to catch up to the Bucs and Bowles will likely keep hanging up banners if he can keep his job

  27. Cosimo De Medicinal Says:

Confident that the Bucs can keep winning division titles with Coach Bowles.

Little confidence in his ability to lead the team to a super bowl win. I am confident that the offense will put up the points necessary. I am not confident that the defense can make stops when necessary.

  28. Jethro Tull Says:

There are fans that understand the game and see what’s happening on the field. Then there are self proclaimed fans who have the vision of Ray Charles and the football acumen of Queen Victoria. No criticism! Bucs have won more games in the NFC since 2020! (29 of those wins were in 2 seasons under BA, when the team was well coached).

Get these poor saps a pink bib. With a rainbow and shamu cartoon on it.

  29. heyjude Says:

Well said stpetebucfan, unbelievable, and others. Chiefs have been lucky. For sure. They also have been over-hyped and over-rated. The Bucs are doing well on their own. Especially since many ref calls have gone against us in major games. Twice with the Falcons. My wish is that the Bucs will be in the SB. My fear is that it will be another KC SB and we will have to hear about them for the entire off-season. Go Bucs!

  30. stpetebucsfan Says:

“Little confidence in his ability to lead the team to a super bowl win.”

Cosimo that is a fair statement about Coach BOWLes.

I do not share your lack of confidence but I understand and respect it. I do not think Coach Dangerfield would be the reason the Bucs fail to reach another SB but I also am not sure he’s so talented he can overcome all the challenges.

BTW We know what happens if he doesn’t. If Todd reaches the playoffs a couple more times with no SB appearance he’ll get “Dungy’d” outta here.

  31. Jeff Says:

Wow! Yuc’s fans are fickle! Post Dallas loss this clown coach needed to go and now you all adore him again? C’mon!

  32. ATrain Says:

If the Bucs Lose this playoff game do a Poll after that game and let’s see what the fans say.

  33. ocala Says:

I am guessing Todd Bowles family is skewing these polls.

  34. Joe in Michigan Says:

Should anyone have confidence in a coach who answers questions this way?

Q: What adjustments did you make in the second half to make the Bucs D better?

    Bowles A: None

Q: Why do they play better in the second half, then?

    Bowles A: I don’t know

    Uh, okay…

  35. AMI_Chris Says:

No one will mention Bowles in the same breath as Shula, Landry or Belichick. But when you look at the wretched HC records of teams like the Raiders, Bears and Cardinals, things could be worse.

  36. Mike Johnson Says:

Not confident on Todd Bowles DEFENSE at all. I am confident in our Offense. To win a championship, you must be good on both sides of the ball. And we are only good on Offense. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS people!!
