Surprise! Jags Still Conducting Interviews?

January 23rd, 2025

What’s going on?

This is the craziest thing Joe has seen with the Bucs since Richie McKay tried to hire Marvin Lewis to replace Father Dungy — and then got told to sit down and be quiet by Team Glazer.

Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Mr. Clean, aka Robert Salah, just had his plane touch down at the greater Jacksonville Airport for a scheduled interview with Jags owner Shad Khan tomorrow.

Saleh was an assistant coach in Jacksonville for years.

Joe doesn’t know what to make of this. Did the Jags forget to cancel Mr. Clean’s interview? Is he interviewing for a defensive coordinator gig? Is Liam Coen not a lock to get the job?

Joe is confused and frankly has a headache.

Couldn’t care less we’re this pathetic snake lands, I don’t want him back…I couldn’t care less about his stats, if he is a genius if a baker loves him…

Sooner or later somebody has to show manners, education, class or whatever you wanna Call it.

Sick of this “ is all about money” thing is ruin everything….specially sports

  5. M Core Says:

Coen as a HC and Salah as the DC is the coaching staff the Bucs should have….

  6. Simeon4HOF Says:

I don’t drink but Patron starting to call me bout all this.
    Coen like a Mad hatter.
    Anyone’s guess at this poin

  7. Simeon4HOF Says:

  8. firethecannons Says:

    What about the Rooney rule?

  9. Durango 95 Says:

Psyche! Okay so at this point I think Joe is trolling us…that jerk 🙂

  10. firethecannons Says:

zzBucs–the word is integrity and Coen demonstrated a severe lack if it. It will follow him.

  11. Buc4evr Says:

Wow, if he played the Glazers shame on him. Refusing to respond to them after agreeing in principle to come back is a low class thing to do. Not ethical and if he leaves the Bucs in this manner, under these circumstances, he deserves the Jags and their low class owner.

  12. Durango 95 Says:

I’ve got some Crown Royal and Becks in the fridge. Life is really getting tough lol.

  13. ElderPirate Says:

Its just Rooney Rule Stuff. I imagine Coen has already taken the job.

  14. Lokog Says:

Mr clean probably gonna be liams dc

  15. I Remember 21 Says:

Yeah it was a low class, non-ethical thing to do. But what did we expect?? I’m sorry, we did the guy dirty too. Hey, can we keep you on the back burner while we prop up this guy that we hope for you to replace takes a victory (?) tour? We hope you have no other options so we can have our cake and eat it too? If you’ve ever been young and dumb and tried that with women, you know it NEVER turns out well. We were playing too cute by half as well. Now we’re in the WORST case scenario: bowles back, Coen gone, Rodgers gone (only guy on D whose unit wasn’t a disaster). I’m sorry, Licht is gonna have to catch some shade for this too. What a DUMPSTER fire. He didn’t even wait for the confetti to fall to glaze what a great job bowles has done (🤮). I’m DISGUSTED.

  16. Boomer Says:

    What a shame.

If Coen really did this – man has ZERO integrity.
    No honor.
If he did this to the Glazers and the Bucs team, I hope he ends up on the trash heap of former NFL coaches that couldn’t cut it.

  17. Pahpahmike Says:

Folks that’s what it sounds like. Salah as DC Coen running the offense but then again, I am hearing San Fran has a contract on the table for him to be their DC if he doesn’t get a HC job. Then again maybe the Jags just want save face in the aftermath of what went on today. All and all pretty sure Coen is gone. So Bucs go find our next OC

  18. Hearty Dikerson Says:

At least we have Todd Bowles’ culture to lean on.

    – consistently coming out flat and unprepared
    – only won one game all season when opponents scored first
    – annual 4 game losing streaks
    – defensive assistants that he’s known for years leaving for lateral positions
    – one of the softest tackling defenses in the league
    – constant communication errors
    – zero development in pass rushers
    – OCs that clearly have no loyalty
    – zero wins in prime time games this year
    – so test TC in the league, and rewards team with extra days off after losing

Man he’s built a strong culture

  19. BUC CHEEKS Says:

    Isn’t it obvious…. He’ll be Coen’s defensive coordinator.

  20. FortMyersDave Says:

Why would Salah take the Jags DC job? There are lots of other better spots to be DC including San Fran. Nah, he actually thinks he has a chance at HC though the Jags could offer him the DC spot after he finishes his interview.

  21. M Core Says:

Saleh is going back to SF to be DC

  22. orlbucfan Says:

Well, Baker Mayfield is getting to the bottom of this right now IF it’s true. So are the other players who are following it. Even if it’s not, Coen has taken a major hit to his ethics and credibility. Nope, the Dungy-McKay-Marvin Lewis merry go round doesn’t come close to how bad this is. It didn’t even happen during the Dark Ages. Unreal.

  23. Hodad Says:

Executive order from the new prez, no more Rooney rule.

  24. John Mason Says:

Hey Joe….It could be the Rooney Rule by interviewing Salah.

  25. MelvinJunior Says:

Salah will be DC in San Fran if he doesn’t get a HC Job this cycle, & JAX will prob be his only hope of that happening. San Fran is a DONE DEAL 💯.
