Somber Scene In Bucs’ Locker Room
January 13th, 2025There was a lot of hugging going on.
The scene in the Bucs’ locker room after last night’s season-ending loss to the Commandos wasn’t quite the shell-shocked locker room after losing to the Crows earlier this year. But it was sullen.
Joe noticed Bucs tight end Cade Otton going to almost every locker to bro-hug the players who hadn’t run away before the local pen and mic club left. Some players, like Lavonte David and Vita Vea, sad at their lockers in deep thought. Vea just stared into the middle of the locker room with an empty gaze.
David was bent over and several players slapped him on the back and squeezed his shoulder. Otton saw David sitting there with his shoulder pads still on. Otton helped David take the shoulder pads off, almost like David didn’t want to take them off.
Anthony Nelson, J.J. Russell and Kyle Trask were doing a lot of embracing with teammates. All three are free agents in two months.
Otton admitted the finality of the season hit hard. He raved about the cohesive nature of the Bucs and that several may have walked out of the locker room for the very final time.

They lost it. This team never learns their lessons.

Fire Bowles!
January 13th, 2025 at 12:32 am
Hope the ones that don’t come back take Bowles with them
January 13th, 2025 at 12:33 am
Really hard because you know they worked their azzez off all year long.
Atleast they had a chance to compete in the playoffs when many other players didn’t.

If only they were as tough as they were ‘close’…this team got pushed around and out hustled by the lowly Cowboys and Saints. The Commies roughed ‘em up too. Lots of arm tackles and not enough physicality. But hey, let’s give em all another See you Wednesday, Todd-O.

Hope the Glazers do what needs to be done while Defensive Coordinators and Coaches are still out there for Interviews rn
January 13th, 2025 at 12:39 am
They’ll be ok when they remember that they’re rich biotch! Enjoy your off season fellas. Training camp will be here soon enough.

Shocking. The Bucs knew much earlier this week they lost when the league scheduled them for a night game. They prepared to lose. Coen partied all week about being a HC Todd did what he regularly does… nothing but write down excuses to rehearse. The players all played up to Todd’s standards: mediocrity

Breaks my heart for LVD. Hope he comes back no matter what happens within
January 13th, 2025 at 12:40 am
Raw feelings. Let the off season come. The team is close.
January 13th, 2025 at 12:41 am
The damn Defense couldn’t force 1 damn punt.
Honestly who actually thought the Bucs were going to make a stop to get the ball back or force overtime on that final drive?
We’ve seen this exact situation play out a few times this season.bIt never worked out. That is directly on the Bowels of Bowles.
January 13th, 2025 at 12:44 am
Sickening…losing at HOME against a 160lb rookie qb!! Never forcing a punt!! Almost giving them a whole quarter of football to themselves!!! Never giving Tucker or White the ball, if nothing but for new looks and fresh legs!!! Causing no turn overs, again!!! Next year’s draft goes—D-line…linebacker…secondary….repeat till ur out of picks…goodnight

Joes, I know it’s tantamount to crazy talk even thinking about launching a coach with the division titles and 10 wins. But the defense was a liability all season long. Worse, Todd coached like they weren’t—and it cost us. Sure, Liam made some bad calls tonight, but where would this team be without him and this O? Absolutely nowhere near the playoffs. Not even a sniff.

Stop with the fire Bowles nonsense. Yes, he’s not Sean Payton, Andy Reid, or John Harbaugh, but neither are any of the other 28 HC’s in the league. We have a legit top 5 offense that will be better next year with Godwin and hopefully Coen back. Second youngest team in the NFL. We need some playmakers on the back end and as Joe always says, a legit edge rusher to go with Diaby. Point of emphasis next year must be forcing TO’s, by far our biggest need to become a championship caliber team.

If I’m the Glazers and JL rn, I’m up all night setting off a HC and DC search. Like now
January 13th, 2025 at 1:06 am
Can see the Washington headlines now “The Commanders from DC trounce the Bucs and their DC at home in Primetime “
January 13th, 2025 at 1:45 am
Be thankful for what you got/achieved !!!! LESSON LEARNED : I am gonna stop spending so much time on sports this year : A HARD YEAR IS COMING UP: RECESSION. MAJOR WAR IS LOOMING…..
January 13th, 2025 at 4:36 am
Thankfully the season of the great pretenders is over.
January 13th, 2025 at 6:48 am
@Simon What? Breathe buddy.
January 13th, 2025 at 7:25 am
Haven’t won a prime time game in a year since beating the eagles last year wild card round. Let that sink in
January 13th, 2025 at 8:10 am
Nothing is gonna change as long as Bowles is the coach …. His record speaks for itself . .500 ball since he has been coach . 1-2 in playoff appearances . Two mid season slumps in a row . Can barely win division titles in the sorriest division in the league three years running .
January 13th, 2025 at 8:34 am
Hey, it’s a game. One team wins and the other team loses. This beating up Bowles, Mayfield, Coen, secondary is pathetic.
Washington played well with no mistakes. As a team Bucs couldn’t get Washington off the field. No punts, no turnovers means long possessions which means the offense watched a lot of that game from the sideline. Same was true in first half of NO games with a rookie QB. Defense is going to be better next season. There is no doubt that Bucs need an EDGE who can force QB into Vea and Kancey.

As a fan, I’m not so hard on my Bucs now that its over. To win 10 games with a lousy Defense was amazing. Most of us old schoolers were already knowing this team was not playoff deep ready. You youngsters still wishing and hoping. Concentrate on fixing the defense Jason and todd. We are not that far away. Happy off season.

Another nationally televised night game and another embarrassment.
I’m sick of this garbage.
January 13th, 2025 at 1:40 pm
Keep Nelson try to squeeze one more out of LVD, the other 2 mention can walk.
January 13th, 2025 at 4:48 pm
I hope all you posters who are sick of our team and its coaches do what you should. Find another team who will be your favorite and stop posting here. You are not true fans.
We have a winning team (10 wins) and winning couches who the players love. I even see why Bowles did not call a time out so quick at the end. He did not want to leave much time for the hot Commies to get more points. We almost went into OT in that game, too. We had young players who made mistakes and even Mayfield got caught up in a bit of desperation. The draft will just donate a bunch more young players. I love our team and it is getting better all the time.
