Pray That Lavonte David Sacks Spencer Rattler (Or Derek Carr)

January 3rd, 2025

Awesome statistic.

Back in Week 6 the Bucs jostled, mocked and robbed the slimy Saints in their Lincoln’s Tomb of a crib 51-27.

In that game, the Bucs’ running attack went fully bananas. It was beautiful.

The slimy Saints haven’t exactly said starting quarterback Derek Carr will start Sunday in Tampa as he is dealing with an injured left hand. He didn’t practice yesterday and Carr hasn’t played in a month.

Regardless, Bucs fans better fall to their knees and hope Lavonte David can put backup quarterback Spencer Rattler (or Carr) on the ground. Why is that? It’s a guaranteed win.

At least, history says so.

This season David has 5.5 sacks. In every game he has recorded a sack, the Bucs have been winners, 4-0. How’s that for a stat?

Yes, Joe loves sacks. Sacks are drive-killers.

And when David gets a sack, it isn’t just a drive-killer, it’s a dagger.

If only they would happen more on 3rd down then they would be drive killers for this defense

  2. Leopold Stotch Says:

For real. It’s so tiring seeing a huge sack on 2nd down and then on 3rd and forever, they convert because the freaking defense is playing a soft zone that gives up 8 yds automatically to the freaking receiver.

lavonte getting the shine later on in his career……cool

i was looking at his stats a few days back, in relation to others around the league…he’s having a very solid all around season in many areas…

solid, solid, solid….and basically holding a defense together that almost has seemed broken at times

I think this has more to do with what defense Bowles is calling.
David didn’t blitz more early on this year.
Only recently in Dime mostly is David blitzing.
You can both blame and thank Bowles for this.

Lavonte will bring the daggers on Sunday!

Just a feeling, Carr will probably play.

  6. Big Joe Says:

Lavonte David is arguably the greatest all around LB of all time.

He makes some of the most athletic tackles I’ve ever seen.

He takes on fullbacks and still makes the tackle on running backs.

    He is tough AF.

I haven’t missed 1 game since he was drafted.

Even when we were getting blown out and embarrassed, he would still be making legendary tackles.

I hope to one day pray with him at his Church.

    He’s truly a Great Man.

I’ll be wearing some daggers of my own, as I’ve snuck behind enemy lines. Got the last minute request on New Year Day to head to a job up in Atlanta. Everything in Atlanta has to deal with downtown so I could see Mercedes-Benz stadium from my 7th floor room. So best to believe when I step off the plane I had my championship hat on my number 13 jersey with the super bowl patch on and walking tall and proud. Oh and I took a stroller to downtown the same way never had so much French eyebrow looks before. Me and some coworkers are talking about going to the game Sunday I’m sure you can guess what I’m going to wear

    Love it BigBucsFan!

    That is awesome, BigBucsFan!

  10. Buddha Says:

    Small sample.

  11. Mike Johnson Says:

Bucs need to bring it because I smell..TRAP GAME here. The Lowly Saints have nothing, absolutely Nothing to lose. They can either lay down or go all out. We will know their intentions after the 1st half. Our sorry Defense need to dial up that good game. They have had 2 or 3 this year.

  12. First Name Greatest Says:

Sacks are not drive killers when a high school team could complete a 20 yard pass up the seam against this soft scheme

  13. unbelievable Says:

All the Saints will do is try to throw deep on offense and do anything they can to stop Evans on defense.

  14. JimBobBuc Says:

I love LVD. He is playing great now, but in the first few games of the season he started off slowly. I wondered if his heart was really into this season…. Once the offense really got going, so did LVD. I hope he comes back next year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he retires. I will enjoy seeing him wreck the Saints Sunday!

  15. SlyPirate Says:

    Another Year … Yes Please!
Unless he’s tired of playing, I don’t see how LVD retires after this season.

    Tackles: 113
    TFL: 9
    Sacks: 5.5
    INT: 1
    FF: 3

And he’s not done. 2024 is LVD’s best season since 2013. He’s a HOF but one more year and his all-time standing in Tackles and TFL is legendary.

  16. BigBucsFan Says:

I understand how the saints can feel like a trap game but if it feels like they can’t field a good enough offense and don’t have a good enough defense they’re not out of our caliber. I believe this game is 100% Tampa Bay buccaneers to win or lose themselves

  17. BigBucsFan Says:

I forgot to sign off from behind enemy lines……. Yes I wore my Tampa hat at work all day long shoulder to shoulder with blue color people hoping for our demise. Don’t worry I’ll let them know the news

  18. Simeon4HOF Says:

David’s gonna ball out rest of year, always does.
Hope LVD comes back next year, love our leader
And last thing we need to have to do is draft/get is 2 ILB.
    There won’t be another 54

  19. RASH Says:

Correct about sacks/drive killers. Our Toilet Bowles defense is SO SOFT.Bend but not bresk is one thing, but they absolutely give up tooo much space and just give away 1st downs and receptions. Heck he’s done that his entire coaching career. Remember year 2 with Brady/ playoffs vs. Rams. Cooper Kupp minute to go 60+ yards with b.s. no coverage. Bowles favorite line…” we had mis-communication” thats cause you dont say squat!³
