The Bucs trounced the Commanders in Tampa on opening day.

    Sick ’em BUCS!

  2. Tye Says:

The Commanders are the best option out of the three……
Lions and Vikings would have been a suicide mission…

The Commanders are still likely to beat the Bucs the way they both are playing in January but at least it is least likely it a total embarrassing loss!

  3. Let’s Go Says:

The Commanders barely beat Atlanta in DC. I know Atlanta beat us, but the games were close and we have looked better against other teams. We had our down game this week, so should peek next week. I like our chances.

  4. Rod Munch Says:

Just announced it’s SNF for the Bucs… literally the worst possible outcome for the Bucs.

  5. NJbucs23 Says:

    Prime time sunday. Of course

  6. Xristos Says:

    Evans and Lattimore meet again.
    Go Bucs

    Evans and Lattimore meet again.

    ———-

Can’t wait to hear all the retards on TV talk about how Lattimore ‘shuts down’ Evans because Mike only has 4 catches for 47 yards and a TD – while ignoring the 40-yards in PI calls.

  8. Rod Munch Says:

Damn, why does it have to be a night game? Everyone knows Bowles blows in prime time and the Bucs normally get blown out vs good teams in that scenario. That sucks. I’d feel so much better about the game if it was 1pm.

  9. George R Says:

    Better than Monday night

  10. George R Says:

We get the best possible draw and you girls complain.

  11. Pewter Power Says:

Well I absolutely hate Todd Bowles defense but love my Bucs so obviously we make a statement. Probably gonna be different than facing a rookie making his very first nfl start though

  12. Outrigger Says:

Have to deal with listening to Collinsworth do a Bucs game again. Can’t stand that guy and can’t remember the last time the Bucs won a game he did.

  13. BakerTime Says:

Nice to be in the dance!

Joe…what are your thoughts on our D against read option?

  14. Outrigger Says:

Hopefully Winfield, Dean and Otten play next week. Any word on Edward’s injury today?

  15. Ds Says:

    Crap prime time

  16. Tbbucs3 Says:

    Sunday Night Football,

Good season yall! NFL wants us to lose

  17. Oneilbuc Says:

Baker Mayfield has a great year this year good job 👍 and yes I believe he’s our franchise quarterback. Now let’s go beat Washington again it’s going to be hard but I believe we can win this game!! Go Bucs!!

  18. ElioT Says:

    Hate this slotting…

Bucs only chance is for the offense to take the ball first and score TDs every drive.

Defense won’t stand a chance against Daniels

  19. Bartow Buc Says:

The Bucs have beaten the Commanders once this season, they can beat them again. Just take away one of Daniel’s dimensions and the Bucs Win !!

Just a reminder, the Bucs 2020 Super Bowl run began with the Washington Football Team. Then they beat the Saints (Brees),the Packers (Rodgers) and the Chiefs (Mahomes) to win Super Bowl 55.

Go Bucs !! Beat the Commanders !!

  20. Zoocomics Says:

This was the best-case scenario for the Bucs. Not saying they win, but Commanders are not as good as their record indicates. They’ve had some close circus wins, but I’d say we match up well against them. I’m really hoping for an early game, I just can’t do prime time anymore.

  21. FirstTimePoster Says:

Can any of (a lot of you) imagine the players thinking, “Oh no, we have to play at night” or “Oh no, we’ve already beaten X team, but they’re so much better now”
Thank God the actual players don’t have that mindset.
Sack up and go win the damn game! GO BUCS!

  22. Tbbucs3 Says:

A classic Bucs prime time game would go the following
    – Come out flat
    – Down by 3 TDs at halftime
    – Start to ralley for a comeback, come up short
    – Devastating injury.

Lets change that narrative this week! If Im not mistaken the Bucs 2020 SB run started vs Commanders on SNF.

  23. Zoocomics Says:

Also…be nice for Winfield, Dean, Edwards and Otton play. These guys on the field would give us a punchers chance for sure.

  24. Bucsdiehard4ever Says:

We just got screwed I’m reading all these comments you guys are idiots I do not want to play Jayden again he is not the same since week 1 if they get lattimore back we Locke by ten plus points mark my words. I hate our delusional fans!!!

  25. Mr_Barf Says:

The run to 4-0 begins..don’t care who or where or when…let’s roll

  26. Let ‘em bake Says:

Reminder: the Philly beat down last year was a night game…..relax.

  27. Let ‘em bake Says:

Btw…this Culp kid looks beastly….another great Jason pick.

  28. George R Says:

I think our last play-off loss was a 1 pm game. The Bucs last play*off game was a prime time game.

  29. First Last Says:

Culp and Payne Durham have looked good. Will we see Otton back to full throttle so quickly? I would like to see White catch some balls and make defenders miss but he needs better ball security. Probably why he didnt get a single target today.

Otherwise, defense needs to get an INT or some more sacks

  30. George R Says:

Washington is rank #13 in passing offense. That is the worse of all play-off teams. What do the Bucs have trouble of defending? The pass. Washington is the best matchup for us.

  31. George R Says:

The Bucs are #4 rushing the ball. Washington is #30 against the run.

  32. SB~LV Says:

Shortest recovery time after the game is the way I see it. Night game makes NO difference!

  33. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

So…I thought Detroit had all these injuries on defense (ala Bucs). They look like a #1 defense tonight. Coaching?

  34. stpetebucsfan Says:

It’s hard to deal with today’s “meme” society. Once a “meme” is trotted out and gets established true or not it becomes the current belief.

The NFC South is the worst Division in the NFL is repeated here over and over again as if it’s FACT! Can someone please support this fact for me with evidence?

For example if you simply go by winning % since their inception there are at least
3 Divisions with worse winning %’s worse than the Central..the AFC South, NFC Central, and the NFC West all have worse statistical %’s than the South. The NFC South has the 4th worst winning % and even that’s a bit of a stretch since they trail the NFC North, AFC Central and the AFC EAST by less than .05%

It’s a bogus measurement anyway!!! At the end of the season the win totals are added up and the best teams advance, it’s as simple as that. AGAIN for people dealing in their feelings and not facts it’s WINS that count not people’s OPINIONS!

What is truly amazing is the number of Philly like loser fans who gripe even when faced with success. I truly believe there is a significant group here that if the Bucs should win the SB will give the credit to anyone BUT Bowles! It would be Coen or Mayfield or anybody but Bowles who gets the credit.

If the Bucs win the SB some of our so called fans will say Bowles lucked into it or make excuses like a good team that got upset before the Bucs had to face them saying see, IF the Bucs had to play that team they would have lost.

I get criticizing playcalling, clock managment, player usage etc but when it comes down to predicting failure count me out LOSERS!!!

  35. Bojim Says:

    Whats with tye? Great fan.

  36. rrsrq Says:

Put up that confidence poll, I am 100% confident the Bucs will win round one (if we can get Winfield and Otton back). Shaq has the rust off and JTS is not in the game because he continues to run behind the QB. I am pretty confident with my ifs

  37. BucsFan81 Says:

Why did they put us on Sunday night. We have lost every night game this season. Bucs suck at prime time games. We couldn’t just get the afternoon. I don’t think we have won a night game since the eagles last year wild card round.

  38. firethecannons Says:

If we are fully expected to lose then we stand a pretty good chance.

  39. firethecannons Says:

Now we are in the playoffs, we will have to get over the prime time heebeegees. We will have to cover the hell out of Jayden Daniel–that kid will take off running for more than 100 yds. Todd Bowles needs to have a plan.

  40. Jerseybuc Says:

Still have zero confidence in radios defense. Hoping I’m proved wrong

  41. Alfred Says:

Night games are automatic losses for Tampa. They will be the first team in NFL history to win their division 4 times in a row and NOT get to the championship game.

  42. JayZero79 Says:

We beat the Eagles in a night game in the first round of the playoffs last year. We’ll be alright.

  43. Oxycondomns Says:

at least its a team the bucs faced that should help with preparation

  44. Jethro Tull Says:

Let’s be glad that Taylor’s Heineken is no longer the QB. He, like a lot of journeymen,do very well against off coverage soft shell zone. Please, coach, don’t wait until the start of the second half to tighten things up on the D. Start the game that way! Please.

  45. Faspro Says:

The person that needs to fired is your web designer, Joe…
It’s not even an ad, it’s more like a glitch. Get it together, man!

  46. Eric Says:

The bucs have wins over Washington Detroit and Philly.

Yet our “fans” say we have no chance because it’s a night game. What a great base.

  47. Alfred Says:

    Night games:
    2024 – (0-4)
    2023 – (0-2)
    2021 – 2022 – (7-3) (Brady)
    2004 -2020 – (7-15)

    All time (31-45)

  48. Mike Johnson Says:

Just have the DEFENSE ready Todd. Don’t care how you do it. But have them playing decent, We need them to step it up. This is a very winnable game guys. Lets turn our fortune in Primetime. GO BUCS!

  49. Usfbucs Says:

Bucs will beat the Commanders. Daniels has been good but having watched their games recently they don’t appear to be quite there yet. The Bucs will run all over them, 200 yards rushing. Ticker hasn’t been used all season and White got this game off basically so they will both have fresh legs.

  50. Eric Says:

Well maybe we can break the night game curse like when they beat Philly on the road with the temperature below freezing.

We haven’t lost a playoff game since my dog was born. A stat that makes as much sense as this night time bs.

  51. Jethro Tull Says:

Liam kind of went coachtard for much of that game. Baker needs to get with him and fix that stuff.

  52. MadMax Says:

Keep a spy on Daniels, he will run as long as we play man on the TE. The wideouts, well, you know Todd’s soft coverage wont stop. But play man on that TE and spy Daniels to keep him home and we’ll pull it out.

And of course the Evans/Lattimore show again lol….that will be something….GET HIM EVANS!

  53. Tbbucs3 Says:

The Bucs trouncing the commanders in week one is completely meaningless

The Bucs in 2022 destroyed the Cowboys week one and then got destroyed by the Cowboys in the playoffs

  54. Lokog Says:

    Whats the latest on chris

  55. HC Grover Says:

    NBC….not good

  56. TheBucsAnthem Says:

The Bucs & Commanders are two completely different teams since week 1.

The Bucs honestly looks like the weaker team.

  57. Jeffrey Becker Says:

temperature will likely be in the 50s with a slim chance of rain. saturday and monday are approx. the same temp, and it is unlikely to rain. there will likely be no significant winds. saturday morning 50 pct chance of rain, so field ought to be in great shape. in fact, between the 7th and 17th, saturday is the only time there is a rain chance higher than 18 pct (weather channel). excellent weather for passing.

  58. Eric Says:

Raheem’s team with a rookie QB took them to overtime in what was effectively a playoff game for them.

Anything can happen but this is a good match up for the bucs. It’s the playoffs all the teams are good.

    Detroit looks unbeatable…..

  59. Ds Says:

Interesting matchup not sure y people are calling the Bucs the weaker team when the offense had put up points all yr. Biggest concern is the defense getting a better start imo

  60. Tbbucs3 Says:

It appears Joe Bucs Fan has been hacked by Chinese hackers….

Soon to be Joe Shanghai Sharks fan.

  61. Trask To The Future Says:

    BUCS 27
    COMMANDERS 16

    Mayfield 275y 2 TDs
    Irving 150+ total yards

    ———

    Redskins record, 12-5
    Bucs record, 10-7

With that said the Bucs can certainly win, and did beat Daniels already, although it was his first game ever in the NFL (and he looked really good – and didn’t have a huge day only because he missed a wide open McLaurin for what would have been a long TD).

Shockingly the Bucs are 3-point favorites in the early lines – that seems way too high to me and I’d expect that line to move quite a bit.

Still, this is the best possible 1st round match-up for the Bucs, and they got home field advantage, hopefully they can take advantage of that.

  63. Tucker Says:

We are in the playoffs baby come guys who cares about all that other junk we are in the playoffs guys heck yeah go bucs

  64. Dom Says:

Commanders round 1 and Eagles round 2 I felt was their best path to get to the NFC Championship game. Let’s see of they can take care of business

  65. Gipper Says:

Has been a fun season. Bucs, Bowles, Baker have certainly made it entertaining. Thanks to the Joes who provide this forum to vent, suggest, and “advise” the coaches.

Have to keep on, keeping on next week. Pretty sure Bucs will. Would be outstanding if somehow this team with a substandard NFL defense, makes it to the NFC Championship. Big fix comes in 2025.

  66. Saskbucs Says:

Go Bucs! Based on recent history don’t love the night game but maybe that spot works against a rookie QB as well and it’s a good spot rest wise if they win.

I also agree that this is set up as the best possible path.

Washington could easily have 2 less wins. If Hurts doesn’t go down 1st quarter and Chicago doesn’t give up the Hail Mary. We could have 2 aaah I’ll give it a rest!

  67. lambchop Says:

We beat the Eagles last year in prime time. Stop your whining. It is what it is. We have to start winning more prime time games. I’d rather face the demon.

  68. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs on the season were 4-3 vs teams in the playoffs – that’s actually a very good record. Also, in the NFC they’re 3-0 vs teams in the playoffs, beating the Redskins, Lions and Eagles.

I’ll be happy to worry about the record vs AFC playoff teams if we get that far. In fact I’d be ecstatic to worry about that.

  69. Rod Munch Says:

BTW the home and away opponents for 2025 are now set:

Home: Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Cardinals, 49ers, Eagles, Patriots, Jets
Away: Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Rams, Seahawks, Lions, Bills, Dolphins, Texans

  70. WanderingWallflower Says:

The record against NFC playoff teams is a nice table decoration but means next to nothing. All three of those games were in September.

On top of who knows how many combined players are now out injured on all four teams, but the number isn’t small.

Daniels was making his first NFL start. He’s got 17 now?

The Bucs looked like they could play defense back then.

We’ve played 13 games since the Eagles were in town.

There are many similarities to 2023.

I hope Bowles gives someone else the keys to the timeouts.

  71. Simeon4HOF Says:

Bucs schedule opponents next year look a lot easier than this year

  72. WanderingWallflower Says:

As for the 2025 opponents, we better enjoy the season. When 2026, the 14 opponents that are determined years in advance will be…

Home & Away: Saints, Falcons & Panthers, as usual.

    The divisions in the rotation?

    NFC & AFC North

Fortunately, it’s the same for all of the NFC South. It’s a season where we can hope to win the division, but will be unlikely to be hunting a wildcard, should it be necessary.

The home opponents in ’26 Packers, Vikings, Steelers & Browns

The road opponents in ’26 Bears, Lions, Ravens, Bengals.

2025 is the year to make noise. When we are facing the East divisions, the competition is slightly weaker and the travel is better. Until rosters churn a little more, facing the East and the South are easier than the West or North.

  73. unbelievable Says:

Would have preferred the Vikings but oh well- hopefully some secondary guys get healthy and we can stone Washington a second time. Tall task for sure!

  74. Simeon4HOF Says:

It’s the Playoffs. Bucs ain’t got no time to be continuing Todd’s primetime whatever. SB at night so it is what it is. Gotta when one sooner or later right lol

  75. TheBucsAnthem Says:

So the Bucs play 4 west coast teams and throw in the Texans while you’re at it (close enough) to include 5.

We all know the Bucs for some reason absolutely sucks against West Coast teams for whatever reason????

All I know is this…..the Bucs BETTER get some good LBs and CBs cause that’s one of the main reasons why Bucs have been so bad on defense.

Jason Licht needs to get rid of the walking dead like Dean & Edwards & Jordan Whitehead…..they just get injured way too.

And make sure Antoine Winfield is healthy 100% too.

  76. adam from ny Says:

    bring on the rookie…!

throw the kitchen sink at him…

and send him packing with the rest of his teammates

  77. adam from ny Says:

also what did i say about minnesota and mr. darnold……???

    they ain’t sh!t…!

last night was like a playoff game – and they barely showed up…again…

this is a common minnesota playoff theme…

regular season cinderella’s upchuck the clam chowder all over their coach when it comes to post season…

and they did it last night again…because last night was as close to a playoff game as you’re gonna get…

i wouldn’t want to play them next week coming off a loss though…but they go down next week or in the divisional round…darnold and company are a 10-11 win team at best, with an inflated record

  78. sunny Says:

all this talk like the game is already over before it’s even been played is killing me.. sure, the bucs haven’t done well during night games..

but they were also like 0-6 this season if they didn’t score first. baker was something like 0-46?? in games that he was down by 10 pts or more.. like 90% of the people in the chat thread tonight called the game when it was 3-0 lol.

    i can’t with it *eyerolls*

sidenote: all of the sports media people who have been d!ck riding sam darnold for most of this season sure are quiet after tonight. kinda like how it was *crickets* about kirk cousins halfway through the season. love it!

  79. sunny Says:

    cool stat i just saw..

this season bucs became the first team in nfl history to complete 70% of their passes and average over 5 yds per carry throughout the course of an entire season. also became the second team in nfl history to throw for 40+ passing tds and average over 5 yds per carry in the same season. the other team was the 1998 sf 49ers.

they have to find a way to keep coen!

  80. MadMax Says:

Everything, every team, is 0-0 right now….the past is past…

  81. Ugotrobbed Says:

Another chance to prove that they
ARE a ready for prime time team!
    Go Bucs!!

  82. BucU Says:

Is Antoine Winfield still on the Bucs roster? Highest paid in the league for sitting on the couch all season.

  83. Jeff Says:

    Bowles still has to go.

  84. stpetebucsfan Says:

    “Bowles still has to go.”

Why? Because you don’t like him personally? Don’t like his style? Or perhaps feel that 3 Division titles in 3 years are not enough. Because despite a horrible SB hangover exacerbated by the way the GOAT/Prima Donna left, being forced to emply Leftwich as an OC, getting a QB that half the board here wanted to run out of town and derided daily Todd ONLY won 3 Titles and reached the playoffs EVERY SEASON HE’S BEEN A BUC HC.

How about the young whiz kid who won the Bucs first SB. He reached the playoffs only twice after that and there was the famous December meltdown when with playoffs in hand the Buc lost every game and were eliminated.

  85. orlbucfan Says:

I hear ya, Outrigger. I detest Collinsworth, too. Good thing I’m a Bucs Radio fan. Well, Washington beat the Bucs in the first playoff round in Tampa years ago. That wasn’t a night game. Tampa owes them. I hope we can get more players healthy. DC and Daniels….whew! Still rooting for the Lions to get in the SB–glad Bucs aren’t playing them!

  86. Bucben1961 Says:

Stpetebucsfan…you need to calm down before you blow a blood vessel…would it make you feel better if we got you a pair of Todd’s dirty boxers to snuggle with. We get it you love Todd…great but for some of us there’s lots to not like…Take a chill pill

  87. gbobucsfan Says:

Anyone heading to the game? Trying to get some tix but TM is such a scam

  88. David Says:

Hopefully there are a new cornerback, Lattimore , is still nursing a hammy

  89. Bartow Buc Says:

JayZero79 yes ! We stomped a mud hole in the eagles last year and that was an evening game !!

Another thing, the Bucs have beaten the 1 seed in the NFC !!

    Let’s Go !!

Go Bucs !! Beat the Commanders!!

  90. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Let’s whoop that trick! Make the Commanderers go commando if you know what that means.

  91. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Hey well Baker finally got rid of that 0-43 record when trailing by 10 points at any point of the game. Now he’s only 1-43 so maybe Bowles and the Bucs can pull it off! Go Bucs!
