Bucs Should Have A News Conference Soon

January 24th, 2025

Todd Bowles

The power players at One Buc Palace know what Bucs fans share about their feelings online.

And that means team officials know the current chaos and unrest among their fanbase after the Liam Coen departure for Jacksonville yesterday.

In fact, some of that chaos was fueled by the folks at One Buc Palace through how they chose to communicate with fans what happened with Coen — or didn’t happen — via unsourced comments to media.

Now, Joe believes, it’s time to clean up the mess and give Bucs fans a group hug of unity, calm and strength. You know, show the kind of leadership the Bucs rave about having on their player roster.

A news conference with head coach Todd Bowles and Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht is a great place to start. Joe would even be good with just a solid interview exclusive to Buccaneers.com.

The alternative is to leave the fans the team cares so much about hanging, feeling crappy and wondering what’s real and what’s not. When is that ever the right move?

If that’s how the Bucs choose to proceed, it would be a very Liam Coen-like decision.

  1. M Core Says:

Sorry but marching consolation prize Lovie Bowles out to speak will not instill confidence

  2. adam from ny Says:

    wow joe…interesting take man…

yeah as news and details were funneling in yesterday evening, it had me bouncing off the walls…

it was a solid few hours of complete chaos…and i’d say some us were blowing fumes and gaskets…

a presser to get the ship back on course ain’t a bad idea actually…

i for one have calmed down, but yesterday i was heated

  3. adam from ny Says:

i guess the bucs can now have a “ring of dishonor” as well…

and we all know who top dawg on that list is right about now

  4. Permanently Moderated Says:

What can they say that will be calming at this point?

  5. Tom Chase Says:

RING OF DISHONOR GOES TO THE SNAKE COEN.HAHAHA

  6. ReenYeing Says:

What are they even going to say? Find another OC, make sure your staff doesn’t get poached by the snake and then speak to the press.

  7. FortMyersDave Says:

Normally listening to Bowles requires a shot of bourbon when he is making excuses for why his team lost (no communication, I was afraid Tom Brady would throw a pick, yada, yada) but this time I would be intrigued if he simply told us fans what happened from his point of view, full transparency, the truth in his honest opinion. Ditto for Licht, the Bucs should do it before Liam does his presser up in Jacksonville so that Coen will end up contradicting what Licht and Bowles said when he thanks the Bucs for the opportunity they gave him and apologize for the way things went down but that this is an opportunity of a lifetime, blah, blah, blah…. Hometown press conference: good idea Joes!

  8. Todd Says:

    — Adam

    I love that!

    “Ring of Dishonor”

If only we could drop memes in here … I can only imagine how Coen would be represented by us loyal Bucs fans.

This is all so disturbing. Negative karma is a thing … an it’s hot on the trail of Coen and Jacksonville. Liam is never going to escape this jilt. Integrity plays long, snake-like deceipt becomes an unflushable turd.

I simply wish that Liam Coen surrounds himself with a team … just … like … him.

  9. Tom Says:

Jason has screwed the start of this off-season so far, Todd Bowles sucks and the defense sucks. We had a SB window that was as wide open as opposing wide receivers running though his secondary untouched. I just can’t get over sticking with mediocrity when we had a chance to be great.

  10. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @JJoes

You guys have my total respect!! This morning I bestow upon you a version of the “James Brown” (the singer) award! He was known as the hardest working man in show business! You guys have to be the hardest working guys covering any NFL team.

I leave yesterday and check back this morning and BOOM! You guys have covered the story from every angle with all available facts and inside gossip.
Hard to really ask for more.

And I totally agree with your editorial here about what the Bucs need to do.

Up till now I understand the secrecy on all sides. It’s just “Bizness”!

I perhaps disagree with all the chatter about snakes and betrayal, even though yesterday I responded to Rod that if Coen did this his rep would take a huge hit on character issues. Then I remembered the last election. Character? Seriously? Character is no longer a required in America and so I’m happy for a fellow Irishman.

I DO think as you point out it’s time to end the drama with a quick, CLASSY,
press conference that points out this wasn’t anything the Bucs or Liam could have changed. HC opportunities are rare in the NFL, the Bucs made their best offer and Liam took a better offer. As Jude points out the “optics” look horrible but we’ll all get over it and again NOBODY IS IRREPLACEABLE!

  11. NYbucsfan Says:

I hope we get a fire Todd billboard soon.

  12. SteveK Says:

    St. Pete,

    Like the last election?

  13. stpetebucsfan Says:

Wow the lengths you guys will go to insult Todd Bowles.

Of course there is the large contingent of 3rd grade level minds who come here to show us that hey you can change just one letter and turn Bowles into Bowels.
As Pee Wee Herman used to say, wish to respond at the proper intellectual level here..”that’s so funny I forgot to laugh”. And over and over again people seemed to be amused by simply insulting a decent human being whose coaching style offends them.

And now we have a really clever attempt at humor…”Lovie Bowles”.

What a perfect illustration of you nasty cynics which also reveals your lack of knowledge or experience living through Lovie!

    Buc coaching records

    Lovie Smith 8-24 .250 Todd Bowles 27-24 .529

Do facts even matter to some of you?

  14. FortMyersDave Says:

NYbucsfan, one of those billboards worked for the Gator alum who wanted Ron Zook run out of Gainesville a bit over 20 years ago. It should be on Dale Mabry, visible so people can see it after exiting 275 on the way to RJS. I say this in humor but if Bowles has a bad start to 2025 like the Bucs used to always have before the Brady years, well you could see billboards and planes flying banners calling for Bowles immediate firing. Nothing like a bit of added pressure for our man Bowles.

  15. stpetebucsfan Says:

    Steve K

    “St. Pete,

    Like the last election?”

LMAO Sorry Steve not going to take the bait. Enough people here already hate me!

Actually though in one sense I LOVED the last election. It prompted me to totally give up politics! I’ll vote and nothing more. Did my time in ‘Nam six years on our Planning Commission.

Giving up politics has been a wonderful thing for me. I no longer watch the news or even think about it. Frees a ton of my time and removes a lot of unnecessary angst.

Bad thing for you guys is that it frees me to participate even more here! LOL

  16. #99 the big fella Says:

This job should be very attractive. Just come here one year and you get a head coaching position

  17. adam from ny Says:

    by the way people:

i just looked…we don’t play the jaguars until 2027…on the road in jacksonville too…

so this upcoming season and next year no…

3 seasons from now we play them at their stadium…

that’s a long time to wait for this match up

  18. LakelandSteve Says:

I agree Joe, make a solid statement from the Bucs front office and turn the freaking page. We can’t sit back and feel sorry for ourselves. The Bucs need to focus on the future and move on from this nonsense. I have faith the Bucs will resolve the OC issue and work on free agency and the draft.

  19. StormyInFl Says:

I hope they’re on the phone with an experienced OC who’s been successful at the NFL level – Frank Reich, Doug Pedersen or Alex Van Pelt come to mind.

No internal promotions – no time for some guy who’s never done it to learn on the fly. Most of the fans still have PTSD from the Leftwich and Marcus Arroyo eras.

Finally, I hope they deny Coen permission to take anyone with him, whenever they can. Make it as hard as possible for him to fill out his staff. Make Carberry an assistant HC and give him a big raise.

  20. Pahpahmike Says:

As I said yesterday I am not surprised with what happened with Coen. I read his resume when the Bucs hired him. One of the negative thing that I read was, he did something similar to this with the Rams. Also, don’t want to speculate but I think he got a lil pissed because he wanted to call plays so he bolted to Kentucky from what I read

  21. David Says:

I just feel awful for Baker Mayfield. How many different OCs in his career now? Has he ever had the same one for two consecutive years?

  22. Drunkinybor Says:

When do we play the sunshine kittens again?

  23. Drunkinybor Says:

I guarantee you the offense feels perked around and angry. They are going to want to prove they can run the ball without Turncoat lying Liam. I was happy Fordham until the sick child lie. That’s disgusting and immature. He’s going to fail big time. He does not speak well and appears very nervous on camera. Now he’s set to lead everybody and turn a entire franchise around. Its laughabme

  24. Pahpahmike Says:

Ok so many want Bowles gone or think the Glazers should’ve replaced Bowles with Coen. Now is the chance to move your fan membership to Jacksonville. It’s still in the state of Florida and your man Coen is the HC

  25. SB~LV Says:

    😂 “Should “
Lots of things that they should have done….

Darn he will be gone by then. He will habe just agreed to an extention. But his wife will get the clap. While he’s secretly meeting with Alabama and take the opportunity of a lifetime.

  27. KABucs Says:

Can Sapp be in our Ring of Honor and Ring of Dishonor at the same time? LOL And I say we put Chucky in both just for fun!
Antonio Brown can be in in the ring of dishonor with Liam.for sure.
Who else do you think should be in there?
Bo Jackson? Hugh Culverhouse? This is fun.

  28. Pahpahmike Says:

Another thing I just don’t understand, so many was saying the Coen move was dirty, Coen is a snake, unprofessional but, some of the same people thought the Glazers should’ve can Bowles to keep Coen from bolting

  29. jimmy Says:

The bucs wont have a press conference. To do what, show their embarrassment? Take questions on their mismanagement? Try to explain why two OC’s have left in two years, and how they have nothing to do with that result?

Bad coaching staff are allowed to stay too long. Good coaching staff bolt after one year.

Todd sure knows how to pick them lol

  30. infomeplease Says:

LC could have had a great thing here. Now he doesn’t! Just like last year’s OC

  31. HC Grover Says:

Down to 7 or 8 wins this year now. That will get Bowles back to his normal .500 average.

  32. Crasey Says:

I don’t expect the team to speak until they have an OC signed.

    ===///=============///=========
You think slimy Liam is that important. This is the same thing everybody said about the self help guru Dave C. Baker and the players are the common denominator. Watch and see. We might not average 29 but Liam made plenty of mistakes this year..plenty. Offense didn’t shine in the most important game of the year against Washington. He called a bad game that day for sure. He can slither on To Jville with the Iron siek

  34. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @PahpahMike

“Coen is a snake, unprofessional but, some of the same people thought the Glazers should’ve can Bowles to keep Coen from bolting”

Exactly Mike. It’s called “situational ethics” and we Americans, probably all humans, are great at it.

  35. First Last Says:

Fire Bowles and hire Mike McCarthy? Jk jk… what a mess

  36. SB~LV Says:

    So
    4 OC’s in 4 years
Fortunately the players are pros and have seen it all as far as offensive philosophy
It’s gonna be more about chemistry on a human level with the next OC and the players.
My biggest concern is Baker with a two year contract now.
No way around it there is a Big Mess @ One Buc

  37. Pahpahmike Says:

Stpetebucsfan, I have to agree with you

  38. HC Grover Says:

The return of Lefty. A grand reunion of the dynamic duo.

  39. Bucfan Says:

Perhaps the Bucs should have done the right thing by giving Bowles his retirement bonus and made Coen the h/c job. Coen realized he would be crazy to turn down the h/c job and the $$. Another year of coaching under the mentality ‘play not to lose rather than to win’ of Bowles is too much to deal with. He could have been more tactful but so should have the Bucs. Next season not looking to bright.

  40. HC Grover Says:

We still have Coens playbook. Maybe Bowles can use his AI computer to make the play calls.

  41. Pahpahmike Says:

I do think the Bucs will be fine. They will find their next HC as they did with Coen, and it looks like Bowles is finally gonna tweak his defense and the Bucs WILL compete and I hope take the division again

  42. Lightningvinny Says:

It’s going out to interview for HC job,,, pulling out from that hire and verbally agreeing to a new contract w the Bucs then pulling out of that to be the same head coach you pulled out of before (confusing) , When I grew up your word was your bond(I know those are the old days), Obviously this is money related but I’m sure Coen believes he is the ONE that can change Lawerence into an elite QB,, better protect him cause he does get hurt

  43. NiceTry Says:

Seeing Todd at the podium and not Liam would not calm the fan base. It’s why we are here!

  44. Baking with the next one Says:

We don’t need a group hug Joe. Start hiring and let me know who.

    Joe needs a vacation.

  45. SB~LV Says:

    Coen is a snake crowd
Sure he could have handled it better but he would have still been misleading the Bucs front office, only difference is that we would not have been exposed to the dirty details.
My .02 is that Jacksonville has been courting him since he first became eligible to talk to other teams. Since the courting began he has been considering himself as a NFL HC prospect. Bucs came way way late to the and were looking and talking to him as a OC .
After returning to the Bucs after his first “official “ interview with the Jags he had probably all ready had a verbal agreement and was told that the Jags still had to do the Rooney Rule boogie, way Jacksonville had not done that first is the only missing piece of the story.
Coen has been waking up mentally a Jaguar HC for nearly two weeks
It is what it is now and we will get over it soon enough, can they recover and get back to 2024 offensive form is going to have to wait many many months of pit of the stomach uncertainty

  46. Pahpahmike Says:

HC Grover, that another thing I was wondering about. Did Bowles not have someone on staff that kind of absorbed the offense Coen was running or capable of running one similar just in case Coen leaves? Thats what happened with Johnson in Detroit

  47. BallHawk75 Says:

They’ve already made their statement without saying a word.

And apparently they would rather be a second string organization with Bowles.

Meaningless division titles and paper over the obvious gaping holes in this regime.

Who can blame Coen for jumping ship for a huge bag of money?

Plus, he can wash the stink of Bowles off himself and find a real DC.

    28-27

  48. Bobby M. Says:

Get ready for a run on our staff and players…..Godwin, White, Brendson all know Coen’s system and thrived, all three add value to different units of the offense. Might even see another run at Greenberg…..Coen has say in who he wants as GM.

Coen leaving changes the offseason landscape for Tampa in more ways than we might realize. Coen was what gave this team the potential to take the next step, nobody has any faith in 61 yr old, play it safe Bowles. I could see this impacting our free agency in that we might have to overpay players now to get them here.

  49. RustyRhinos Says:

Can we all see what the records are next year at this time, before we make all these absurd claims.. Coen has a new team to control Offense, Defense, Special Teams. Without any knowledge of running the whole show… Just like Canales found out.

We have a strong team, front office Head Coach that will move forward like always. We now know we can run and pass the ball on offense. Coen took the cash, can’t say I would not have done the same.

As for playing against Coen and the Jags in 3 seasons Coen could be someplace else then. HC opportunities do not come around often, and when your called about one of those positions you answer the call. I would have liked it better to have had another season of Coen as our OC. But that is not what we have going forward.

    Cut Bait, move forward.
    GO!!!!!BUCS!!!!!

  50. Tucker Says:

Vented yesterday, I’m over it on to the the next great oc, gonna have a great season regardless next year, go bucs!!

  51. StormyInFl Says:

“Get ready for a run on our staff and players…..Godwin, White, Brendson all know Coen’s system and thrived, all three add value to different units of the offense. Might even see another run at Greenberg…..Coen has say in who he wants as GM”

The Bucs can (and should) deny him permission to interview anyone still under contract. They don’t have to let them go, unless it’s as a coordinator. And being an OC for Coen will be like being an OC for Andy Reid – in name only.

Greenberg has to be smarter than throwing in with a clueless idiot like Shad Khan.

I really think Godwin stays. Like Mike, I do think he’s loyal and the Glazers will do right by him. Besides, the Jags are a dumpster fire and probably moving to London permanently.

  52. Lefty Says:

Bill Parcells would be in that Ring of Dishonor for what he pulled with Team Tampa….how about Bo Jackson? Put him up there.

  53. SB~LV Says:

    Bingo Bobby M
I saw a talking head on YouTube last night and in a matter of fact statement making a larger statement he casually mentioned the Coen was more than just a OC and that he was an innovator.
Confident offensive innovators are distinctly different than generic NFL players callers calling plays they learned from whomever….
We all know that Coen had the intangible “it” factor
Now the Bucs front office has the pucker factor.
Not good chemistry with a looming lame duck HC
Blame it on the “ snake “ if it makes you feel better.
The NFL chews up and spits out in disgust “feelings “
    Square One@ One Buc

  54. Couch Fan Says:

Why so angry? Bowles is so great we will win all the games with defense alone. Dont need no stinken offense when the defense can hold every team to 16 points (and 35 minutes of TO). Besides The ReTodd Cult have already ensured us that Bowles will have no problem picking a 3rd straight fantastic OC. Next season is OUR season… I’ve been told thats realistic. Can’t wait!!

  55. Let’s Go Says:

So I’m wondering are Detroit fans in a tailspin about their coordinators leaving? Let Bowles hire another OC. He’s hired two in a row who became HC after one year of playcalling. The man has a track record and who wouldn’t want to call plays for this offense?

  56. Couch Fan Says:

Thank you Glazers for choosing Bowles over the over rated Coen. Clearly our defense was extrodinary and we can not let that type of guru go. For any reason.

  57. Davenport Says:

Coen did what was best for Coen. He realized his dream and secured his family’s financial future. He no longer has to play 2nd fiddle to a suspect HC.

Now, we’re stuck with Bowles, a proven career loser. His Assistants can see the future and are running any lifeline they can get.

Any position with the Bucs now looks like a one year gig. 2025 has all the signs of becoming a disaster.

Glazers has every opportunity to avoid this by cutting Bowles loose. Now they have a kame duck HC who’s been propped up by good OCs the past two years.

Lightning struck twice – good luck trying to have it strike again.

  58. Henry Says:

Maybe he will take Bowles with him.

  59. Jake been there since the beginning Says:

Well the low blow was thrown and it connected right in the crotch. The difference between someone inside taking over as OC is that Coen was only here one year. Johnson on the other hand was in Detroit for a few seasons. From when I was eight till I was 32 things were rough on our Bucs, a few playoff seasons and the two NFC Championship games was about it. Now days a lot more good times and two Superbowl rings. I like the now much better and hoped next season was going to be another real shot at another ring. So I guess we’ll all ask God in our prayers for the good luck of getting someone to lead the team to another really good OC. Oh yeah we must destroy the Jags when we see them at all cost. Go Bucs!!!

  60. Swanny Says:

St. Pete, I like almost all of your takes. However, if you’re gonna “leave politics,” LEAVE IT….

  61. Cobraboy Says:

Seems he has changed jobs the last few years always the same way.

I don’t blame him for climbing the ladder at all.

I do blame him for how he does it.

Lying about a sick kid? Really? What a low-character play…

I’m over it, time to move on.

Good luck in Jax, Coen. No doubt you are aware Lawrence is no Mayfield on any metric.

Jax has a ton of cap. I will not be surprised if Coen drops a Brinks on Godwin.

  62. Cybetsecurity_intern Says:

Man, we are screwed. F Todd Bowles and all Glaziers.

  63. Jeff Says:

Glazers blew it. Simple as that. Too cheap, too scared. Pathetic.

  64. stpetebucsfan Says:

    Swanny

Trust me it’s not longer about Rs and D’s and MAGAs and liberterians. Not really political at all. Over my lifetime I’ve voted both.

But as a “sucker and a loser” I reserve my right to have an opinion about character.

  65. Elite Vita Says:

    Still disappointed

  66. Matt Says:

    We are being hysterical

The guy left for a HC job. You can’t blame him for that, especially when our HC is Bowles

Yes he was going to come back. But then the Jags fired Baalke and their job became more attractive.

So he left for a better job, we’ve all done it.

  67. Doughboy Says:

It’s time to offer Jon Gruden an open door!!

  68. Daniel Z Says:

LetsGo – Yeah, Detroit fans are in a tailoring about their OC going to the Bears. Just look up one of their fan sites or podcasts.

  69. Daniel Z Says:

Sorry, I got autocorrected from tailspin to tailoring.

  70. Bucs4ever Says:

    Generational wealth>butthurt fans

Licht and the Glazers are 100% to blame.

They tried to have their cake and eat it too.

    Oops!

  71. Pewter Power Says:

They don’t mind us being pissed off but note that their feelings are hurt they are using all their muscle to drive the narrative and fuel the fire. It’s nonsense because we all know they’ll talk dirty behind doors and will come out in public and wish him all the best. Don’t do a press conference with fake emotions knowing that you’ve set the fan base loose like rabid dogs

  72. SB~LV Says:

    Jeff
    Glazers are not cheap
They just are NOT quick twitch tacticians and hamstrung by their societal standards
It is what it is, Buc fans have been to this rodeo over and over and over again

  73. Mr Lucky Says:

    Too much hate here –

To EVERYONE who wants to chase Todd Bowles out of town look back to the past:

EVERYONE (myself included) wanted Gruden gone because we were tired of just making the playoffs. WE got Gruden gone for what?

STOP the hate and be part of the solution

  74. SB~LV Says:

Gruden ain’t coming here or anywhere until his lawsuit with the Mother Ship is settled.
Even if he was available I question his chemistry and ego with Baker or any other starting quarterback.

  75. Slacker Says:

This is on the glazers and licht for sticking with bowles. Open your dam eyes and look what won games and took you to the playoffs. The young guns is where it’s at in the NFL and you let one walk away.

  76. Matt Says:

The reason many people are hysterical is because they know Bowles stinks

  77. firethecannons Says:

The top comment calls him Lovie Bowles, lol almost spilled my coffee. It is a good name for him–both of them were bad. What a damn shame, now Bucs will be setback and there is no way Liam Coen is getting Jax roster anywhere near the playoffs. Hope the Bucs have some really good ideas, get an OC that is able to keep us running the ball as that is key to this offense.

    St. Pete,

    Like the last election?
    ——————-
Yeah, a convicted felon won. What planet you live on? Now, can we get back to Bucs!

  79. stpetebucsfan Says:

OK I’m just thrilled it’s all over!!! Can we stop with the blame games?

NO it wasn’t anybody’s “fault”! The Bucs did what they could, Liam took a long(LOL 24 hrs?) to decide the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT CAREER DECISION OF HIS ENTIRE LIFE.

But sadly we all seem to need scapegoats. Play a decent game that was considered an even match and it comes down to the FINAL play a bank shot FG but instead of seeing ANY positives all we can do is Kvetch.

Guys and Ladies this is going be fun! This isn’t the same situation that existed when Leftwich and Brady left. (I still don’t really know who called the offensive shots that season). Canales was a shot in the dark who worked out. LC was an obvious choice who even exceeded expections.

Look at the Bucs offensive talent. Potential candidates are going to be swarming the Bucs for this job!!!

Two years ago in that search the Bucs were the sweaty fat guy trying to get lucky on a Friday night! Last year the Bucs had cleaned up enough to have a run at getting lucky! THIS time around the Bucs are Matthew McConaughy walking into the bar like he owned it saying, “Alright, alright, alright”!

  80. orlbucfan Says:

Speaking of Grudens, how about Jay Gruden? Very successful OC with the Cincinnati Bengals. Jay made the big booboo leaving them when former Washington POS owner Snyder wiggled the HC flag at him. Unlike his brother, he’s low key and a good guy. I’ve met him and his wife. I don’t know whether he’s still coaching or not. The Snyder chapter left a very bad taste in his mouth.

  81. larrd Says:

Coen was weird with all the Rams/UKentucky stuff.

A press conference trying to calm the fanbase will just make it look like the Bucs are in disarray, rather than Coen and the Jaguars.

Leave the drama behind. Let Jacksonville deal with it. It will probably be a mess up there.

A press release stating the team is considering candidates for the vacancy is fine. Lots of OCs will do well with an emerging offensive line, a top ten quarterback, a HOF wide receiver, and the best group of RBs in the league.

  82. Couch Fan Says:

Exactly. There is nothing to worry about. Super Todd will have no issues hiring his 3rd terrific OC and we will be NFC championship bound next season. No excuses made.

  83. Benedict Coen Says:

I wouldn’t hesitate. Promote Grizzard and never mention Coen’s name again in West Florida. Grizzard is experienced in the building, smart (a Yale guy) and knows the system we just ran. Keep as much of the staff as possible and we move on.

  84. BucsBucsBucs!! Says:

    Stop with the Bowles hate.
    It’s ridiculous snd negative.
    Bunch of whining crybabies.

  85. Allbuccedup Says:

Byron Leftwich is unemployed, come on down!!!!!

  86. MelvinJunior Says:

Exactly what happened, was exactly what I was afraid of. I KNEW the Bucs FO wouldn’t have the balls. They had ‘their guy’ & dropped the ball. I mean, that decision should’ve already been MADE over a month ago. 💯 no-brainer. We SHOULD BE playing in this game at HOME against the RAMS. There is really NO excuse for it. Absolutely, BLEW-IT. And, there will be full regret inside of “One Buc Palace,” & all across Tampa Bay for YEARS to come. You don’t let ‘your guy’ (38-years old) walk out the door for an average 62-year old ‘middle of the road’ (archaic ‘defensive minded’) HC with only a year or two left on his contract, with a CHEAP buyout. Especially, NOT in a NFC w that is littered with other TOP NOTCH Young STUD (modern day ‘offensive-minded’) HC’s. And, with Jayden Daniels (still with 4-YEARS LEFT on his ‘rookie’ deal), & Hurts and Philly in te East. ALL FOUR TEAMS In The North… Genius Young STUDS. And, Shannahan & McVay in the WEST. You. Just. Don’t. Hell, you CAN’T. Ridiculous. DUMB. Move.

I’m so glad the Bucs have solid leadership.

Coen just signed up for a lot.. the story following him… picking the gm..

Honestly, who thinks it’s going to go well in Jacksonville.

Chin up, present minded, eyes to the future.

    We got this.

    Go Bucs!!

  88. MelvinJunior Says:

Especially, when you basically, already have Bowles on a ‘year-to-year’ deal to begin with. And, I bet that’s why the Bucs FO was freaking out so bad with trying to get ahold of him… They were going to pull the trigger, BUT they’d already ‘allowed’ him to get out the door. You Just Could NOT Do That, Either. What a MAJOR FAIL. They HAD HIM. And, they let him go.

  89. El HEFE Says:

It’s funny people will still spend this to me. This is ball‘s fault. He got people that were supposed to be good coordinators and they couldn’t even stick around for the rest of a year so let me get this straight. You guys want people like this ready our team just so when times get bad they can run Think about that before you guys keep calling Todd out

  90. MelvinJunior Says:

It’s going to go “well” for Cohen regardless, once you see THIS contract. These Coaches Contracts are usually 💯 FULLY GUARANTEED. You have to really question the Bucs FO now, with this! It just shows that they were completely outta touch and a TOTAL lack of communication. I mean, IF they ‘thought’ that they were SAFE (with their offer), then I don’t know what else to say, Because I Sure As Hell WASN’T. I mean, you still had several other jobs left to be filled, INCLUDING THE SAINTS AND Brady’s Raiders!!!! I Mean, COME. ON.

  91. MelvinJunior Says:

And, they’ll prob all KILL-IT in JAX now… He’ll have his best closest friend as OC, a rejuvenated Trevor Lawrence, PLENTY of weapons, & probably (with our luck) STUD ‘Capologist’ Greenberg as his new GM. The Bucs FO Could NOT Have Played & Screwed THIS UP Any Worse Than What They DID.

  92. stpetebucsfan Says:

I have to really thank some of you guys for helping me polish my Mark Twain rule of thumb. I know this is true but it’s one of my shortcomings. I violate Twain’s advice.

“Mark Twain — ‘Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.'”

I’m reading some incredibly experienced people here.

  93. Sharon Says:

I’m a fan always have been, but this dirty ,dirty BIG DEAL is disgraceful

  94. Les opyd Says:

Keeping a Mediocre coach in Todd bowles was a big mistake . Now we have to suffer another Mediocre year !! And are coaches are dropping like Flys . I can see baker leaving for a better franchise once his contract is up . Bucs always screw shir up.

This is on the glazers and licht for sticking with bowles. Open your dam eyes and look what won games and took you to the playoffs. The young guns is where it’s at in the NFL and you let one walk away.

    Agreed.

No guarantee that it would have been a success but it would have avoided all this mess and given the team a chance to go the distance. CTB has hit his ceiling and with him there is nowhere else to go but down.
