Baker Mayfield Is Not Jameis Winston
January 22nd, 2025OK, was last week’s fumble between Baker Mayfield and Jalen McMillan on a jet sweep awful? Yeah. But Joe cannot say the Bucs lost in the wild card round because of Mayfield, that’s harsh.
So is a column excerpt by Jeff Chadiha of NFL.com. He typed that he believes Mayfield is a turnover machine and Bucs fans should expect Mayfield to turn the ball over once a game — or more.
This was the kind of game that was indicative of Tampa Bay all season. It had impressive moments, and it had confounding ones, which is why it was so hard to know which team would show up in the postseason. There’s a lot to like about what Mayfield brings to the squad, both because of his brashness and his playmaking. However, turnovers were a problem that never went away for him this year. And he produced his biggest one at the worst possible time.
Chadiha pointed out Mayfield was tied with Kirk Cousins for the league lead in picks. In fact, Chadiha seemed so critical of Mayfield and his turnovers that Joe for a second through Chahida mistook Mayfield for America’s Quarterback, Mr. Entertainment, Jameis Winston.
Last Joe checked the Bucs had the lead when Mayfield/McMillan fumbled. Aren’t the Bucs allowed to play defense?
And the Bucs still had a chance to take the lead in the game until a promising drive fizzled due to an ill-timed snap.
Maybe it is just Joe, but instead of blaming Mayfield, how about pinning some (all?) of the blame on the defense that couldn’t force Washington into one friggin’ punt? (Yeah, Joe knows the defense had two fourth down stops).
To blame Mayfield for the playoff loss, Chadiha comes across as a hater.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:08 am
I’m not a Baker hater, but Bake needs to reduce his turnovers next year.
The whole team, especially the defense, needs to work on end of game scenarios. Bowles needs to understand his ‘prevent’ defense sucks and he needs to have more confidence in the offense and less on the defense.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:09 am
Mayfield does deserve some criticism for choking once again at a very important time in the game. It helped Washington get the victory. Silly for anyone to try to blame it all on him considering our defense is and has been trash for 3 years now and gave up the GW FG.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:12 am
This was a pickem game between two evenly matched teams.
BOTH teams had highlights and lowlights!
It was decided by an oblong ball that bounced the wrong way off the goal post.
It’s time to get over the heartbreak!!!! It was a good game with a VERY disappointing finish for the Bucs I get that.
It’s like a relationship with the opposite sex. Sometimes you fall in love, it doesn’t work and you get DUMPED. The absolute worst thing to do in that situation is immediately look for the next great relationship! That’s why it’s derided as “on the rebound”.
The worst thing the Bucs could do is make decisions “on the rebound” from a great game that didn’t go their way. This is one of the reasons I like Bowles.
He’s acknowledging the required grieving time before making any real pronouncements.
Settle down it’ll all be clear! We just need to lick our wounds and move FORWARD!
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:12 am
Joe, The defense did their job in that series and stopped the Commanders at the goal line.
Then the offense immediately gives it right back to them
Why in the world would you blame the defense there??? Nonsense.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:18 am
Coen Staying!!!!
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:19 am
Way to go Glazers!!!!!
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:20 am
Brother, 0 punts, 0 turnovers. I don’t care if the defense did their job on that drive, they couldn’t get off the field the entire game.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:20 am
Bowles 54-68 record. .443 winning percentage. “You are what your record says you are!” The very definition of a mediocre coach! Say what you will the numbers back me up!
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:21 am
Bake has grown on me a lot. I do think he is better than jameis, but I really don’t think they’re that dissimilar either. Mayfield has peaks in play that look incredible, and he also has these valleys that are really difficult to watch. Feeling pressure where there is none, trying to beat the defense with his arm talent rather than taking what’s there. Similar to Jaymo. He definitely had some rough stretches throughout the year where we saw this kind of stuff play out. All that said, people are making way too much out of this one play.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:25 am
As much as I am still very far down the hole (won’t let myself get out until about training camp), I agree with this. I’m constantly looking for a reason that we lost and there’s not too many glaringly obvious things that went wrong, we kinda just got beat, makes the loss hurt that much more.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:27 am
Baker Bowl, The Lions gave up 45 points the commanders. The Bucs can’t make crucial mistakes on offense in the 4th quarter of the playoffs when you’re facing an explosive team like the commanders.
Who cares about time of possession? The Bucs Defense made huge stop in a big spot and then the Bucs Offense looked like a Pop Warner team trying to run a play immediately after.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:29 am
Who cares about time of possession? Every game has a different flow
The Lions gave up 45 points to that same offense…..
The reality is that the defense made a huge stop in a big spot and then the offense immediately after looked like a JV team attempting to run a play
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:29 am
All that said, people are making way too much out of this one play.
——
It’s all in an effort to prop their man crush mediocre coach and his garbage defensive scheme on a pedestal he doesnt belong. Using this play as an excuse to cover up his garbage defense as you said yourself couldn’t stop them the whole game. They controlled our defense and TOP to such a degree that they didnt need to score many points to win. Another thing The ReTodd Cult wont acknowledge.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:30 am
Baker did great this year.
The bulk of his turnovers happened in just a handful of games.
8 games he threw 0 picks.
5 games he threw 1 pick
And then there were some multiple pick games.
4-2 pick games and 1-3 pick game.
That’s pretty far from a turnover machine if you look at the overall picture.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:31 am
There is no shortage of dumb things that people like Chadiha say. Those dumb things get repeated by casual “fans” who really don’t know the game.
Which Bucs games were lost by Mayfield “turnovers” this year? In fact, there were 3 games the Bucs lost this year where Mayfield had ZERO turnovers. On the other hand, there were games where Mayfield had multiple turnovers this year that the Bucs won. The record is there for anyone who wants to examine it. Way too much attention gets paid to so called experts who just right the same old boilerplate.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:36 am
This statement that mayfield is a turnover machine on its face might look like a true statement. But to say he’s just turning over the ball and not doing amazing things to score points is ridiculous. If you want to compare him to anyone look no farther than Brett Favre. Here’s some interception totals in some of his years. 24 14 13 13 16 23 23 16 15 16 21 17 29 18 15 22. Look familiar. As a Matter of fact Farves best td total was 39. So get off Mayfields back. If It wasn’t for Mayfields play this year we probably would have won 5 games this year.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:37 am
…..just write the same…………
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:38 am
Yeah you know what you’re right. The 20 points we scored and multiple times we kept their offense on the field were irrelevant in the outcome. The 1 fumble was the sole cause of defeat. You should be up for a senior analyst job with that astute observation of the game.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:41 am
Defense, Defense, Defense in the draft! And pray LD plays another year!
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:42 am
@Joe should try to find a way to like/upvote comments, sometimes I wanna let someone know I agree, but don’t want to spam replies
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:43 am
Mayfield gets himself in trouble when he feels he’s got to carry the team. Very happy he is on our team love the dude and his attitude. He just needs to limit the risks he takes when the Bucs are behind in games. Hard to do though when the other team doesn’t have to punt the entire time.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:45 am
Sure would be nice to have less bad games where he plaus hero ball. See him be a bit more careful, but he’s only slightly worse than a 3:1 ratio… So while he threw more picks he also threw more TDs than many guys
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:57 am
WAY MUCH BETTER!
January 22nd, 2025 at 11:04 am
When you don’t make 1st downs, the other team gets the ball.
Jayden Daniels was excellent for the Commanders- making good decisions, extending drives, accurate throws and making plays with his running skills.
Mayfield was accurate in his throws, but screwed up in a close game that cost the Bucs in the 4th quarter.
I repeat, no playoff game has been won this year scoring only 20 points.
January 22nd, 2025 at 11:10 am
Sign Jameis trade Baker.
January 22nd, 2025 at 11:19 am
The playoff duel between the Bucs and DC Cs was about a competition between two evenly matched teams. The difference was luck. Cs have it. Look where they’re headed: To play the Eagles in Philly (man, does that weather bite the big one) for the NFC crown. The Washington–Philadelphia rivalry goes back decades, way before a team in Central Florida was on anyone’s mental radar. I hope kickoff isn’t at midnight EST so I can watch at least some of it.
January 22nd, 2025 at 11:22 am
Mayfield had a very good year and I’m glad he’s a Buc. However, he does turn the ball over too much and I would like to see his turnovers cut in half next season. If he has similar numbers next season with half the turnovers, he would be in the MVP conversation.
January 22nd, 2025 at 11:27 am
So many in the media have a fully painted picture of Mayfield in their head. It’s as a castoff turnover machine that has the odd wow moment. Mayfield is basically Ryan Fitzpatrick to them.
None of their analysis would include the fact that 3 of the most important players around him in that game were rookies and they messed up in the 4th quarter. Not to say Baker doesn’t take blame for that fumble as well.
Didn’t Jordan Love throw 3 INTs in his game and everyone has him in the tier just below the best QBs in the league. I haven’t seen it. Didn’t see Purdy or Tua in the playoffs, Goff threw 3 INTs and had a fumble in his game, that’s after a 5 INT performance earlier in the season.
Media still loves huffing all those guys. I’ll take Baker over all of them every day of the week. I’d include Hurts in that group as well.
NFC QB hierarchy imo – Daniels > Stafford > Baker. Obviously biased and truth is you can prolly put all those names in a hat and could rank them differently after every week. They aren’t that different, just have different teams around them and run into good or bad game plans against them.
January 22nd, 2025 at 11:40 am
If you go back and watch the play, JMac wasn’t even expecting the ball. Now, Baker was irresponsible to try to force it when Jmac was already past the landmark but that’s an easy one to learn from. I still believe it was a careless play call in that situation, like the ill timed snap due to hard count. Too cute and not necessary. Learn from it and improve. With Liam back, no doubt he will self scout and get better and help the others do the same.
Now we just need the full time DC and QCC so Todd can focus on being the full time HC the team needs and fans deserve.
LFG!

“Sign Jameis trade Baker.”
Some great snark. Not sure Tampa Uber drivers would approve and imagine a dude running on the field screaming FHITP. Be great for the Mons and other night spots though.
January 22nd, 2025 at 12:12 pm
Leave my man, Famous Jameis alone. He is a career backup going from team to team. Financially, he will be Ok. A lot of backups do quite well over 10 to 15 yrs.
January 22nd, 2025 at 12:51 pm
Even though I believe baker is not a winner i would rather have baker than jaymiss as long as you wear a bucs uniform i will root for you to win but i don’t have to like you im a bucs fan first
January 22nd, 2025 at 12:54 pm
Joe cannot say the Bucs lost in the wild card round because of Mayfield, that’s harsh.
———–
It’s half-way through the 4th quarter. You’re up by 4. The defense makes a huge goal line stand and gives you the ball back with a chance to go up multiple scores and put the game away.
Instead you immediately fumble the ball, put an exhausted defense back on the field deep in Bucs territory.
That was the game, it was over, the defense was spent and wasn’t going to make any more stops. The chance to go up 2 scores was the chance to win the game, and Baker blew it.
Baker LOST the game single handedly with that fumble.
January 22nd, 2025 at 12:58 pm
Not every turn over is Baker’s fault. Yes what happened goes down as a fumble on the stat sheet, but that really is not what happened. Baker was not responsible for that turnover, but he took the blame like a great leader does. McMillan is a ROOKIE, who was playing in his first playoff game, and probably overwhelmed. He had already dropped a pas that hit him right in the hands. Just like a receiver who runs before securing the ball Jalen was ahead of the play and since that was a timing hand off and the timing was off, the result was a turnover. It is mind-blowing that after days of this same conversation there are people still trying to put the turnover on Baker and. I just chalk them up to miserable people that know absolutely nothing about football, and refuse to see the truth. Baker is an imperfect human like we all are. I am sure there were turnovers during the season that were his fault this one wasn’t. Get over it, know nothing’s!
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:09 pm
Now I don’t want to completely dismiss how big of a moment the fumble was, but saying he single handedly lost the game is ignorant. Without Baker, we’re not in the game, or even in the playoffs for that matter. We got beat, the commanders didn’t punt of lose any turnovers. Yes, the defense was spent, but they were spent because they couldn’t get off the field the whole game, not because Baker fumbled.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:10 pm
It’s amazing all the people saying Baker didn’t actually fumble the ball, despite the fact he literally said he misjudged the distance on the handoff and it was 100% on himself.
Anywho these same Baker Boi(s) are the same idiots that last year when Baker had the ball with 2 minutes left vs the Lions and with the game on the line, immediately threw a pick and lost the game – and these same morons told us at that time that it wasn’t Baker’s fault then as well.
Basically it’s never Baker’s fault when something goes wrong, but it’s 100% Baker’s success whenever anything good happens. So Baker throws a 3 yard pass to Godwin who goes 65 yards for a TD, well that proves Baker can throw 65 yard TDs and he’s the greatest! Baker fumbles the ball to lose a playoff game, his 2nd choke in the playoffs in a row, well, that’s not on Baker, that’s those bum WRs who screwed up, and the awful OC who didn’t do his job, and the defense who only gave up 16 points – always everyone else at fault, never Baker.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:11 pm
Joe. FFS. McMillan over ran the hand off. I’ve said before that Baker makes mistakes but this wasn’t one of them. You can’t hand a ball off to a guy that’s already a step past you.
It was a good snap, well received, and as he turned to hand the ball off, McM was too far past him.
Bakers only mistake was not realizing it fast enough to keep the ball in his hand.
Baker Bowl-maybe try watching the game? 0 punts was because WC ran multiple plays on 4th down trying to convert, and were unsuccessful more than they weren’t. That’s BETTER than a punt. The Bucs put them in the position to punt numerous times. Quit quoting statistics without knowing what happened in the game. It’s embarrassing.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:14 pm
Rod Munch
For his entire career thus far, Baker Mayfield has shouldered blame for plays that clearly weren’t on him. It’s what he does. He knows and JMc knows and Todd Bowles knows, and Liam Coen knows McM over ran him. Baker had no chance to hand him the ball.
He should’ve held on to it as a way to remedy JMcs mistake, but it was in fact JMcs mistake.

The defense gave up 16 points.
Baker gave up 7 points.
Baker scored 20 points.
Baker had a net of 13 points.
16 > 13
That’s why the Bucs lost.
The game completely turned on that fumble. A chance to go up 2 scores with only minutes left in the game, that was it, that was the game, and Baker didn’t get it done for the 2nd playoff game in a row.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:18 pm
3-5 on 4th down. Looks like they were actually more effective than not, so, don’t quote statistics without knowing what happened in the game. That being said, I never said the defense played bad, nor were the reason for the loss, just wanted to point out how they were tired because they were constantly on the field.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:24 pm
I see your point, and I do agree that it was a pivotal moment in the game and the second year in a row he has had a blunder late in the game. My point is that that play did not single handedly lose us the game. So many moments in the game that can flip it. Is this actual reason we lost the game because the ball bounced left instead of right? Is it that we didn’t get a first down on x drive.
Yes, pivotal moment in a tight game. No, not the reason for the loss.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:27 pm
Mind you the Commanders also had a whole new drive at the end, which wasn’t stopped by the defense, in which they scored the game winning field goal.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:28 pm
It was bakers fault just like last yr in Detroit. He is a turnover machine but it takes Bucs fans seven seasons to see the truth smh
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:32 pm
Mayfield is 2-3 in 5 playoff games, but his 3 losses are by 5 points(to KC when at Cleveland), 8 points(to Detroit last year), and 3 points(Washington this year). Hos stats from those 5 games: 1,339 yard passing with 64.5% completions, 12 tds to just 3 picks, with a QBR of 105.9. He actually plays better in the playoffs. Next year IS the Bucs year!
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:40 pm
We nearly had Kirk Cousins instead of Baker Mayfield, so I am very thankful how well that worked out for the Bucs, and to have the privilege to watch a great leader and teammate, go above and beyond every game, and who is as tough as any football player I have ever watched play the game. Quit whining and appreciate what you have
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:44 pm
Arguing with myself at this point, I guess it’s Baker’s fault that they were in the position to punt, and then went for it and converted? Glad we got them in the position to punt but, they didn’t punt.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:44 pm
Tbbucs3 – we can DEFINITELY blame the DEFENSE- 2 stops the ENTIRE GAME N OTHER TEAM NEVER EVER HAS 2 PUNT! Big DEAL-defense showed up TWICE- BAKER PLAYED HIS HEART OUT-FUMBLED_N THEN TIED UP GAME N MORE!
Quit CUTTING SLACK 4 BOWLES N THE EVER SO IFFY DEFENSE
NO QB should EVER have to PLAY PERFECTLY JUST 4 a CHANCE 2 WIN!! EVER!!
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:50 pm
So I guess not pressuring or getting a hand on the opposing quarterback, having a defense that my 9 year old grandson tackles better than, a basically non -existent secondary, and penalty after penalty because this team is very undisciplined, has nothing to do with the play off loss. Just the fumble. Like I said in my earlier post. Know Nothing’s.
January 22nd, 2025 at 1:55 pm
Of course! It’s 10000% on Baker, how could the defense tackle Daniels when he’s scrambling out to the left, no right, our right his left, I mean his right our left, our right
January 22nd, 2025 at 2:03 pm
To the person who says Baker gets in trouble carrying the team. Why is he highest rated QB in fourth quarter this season? Or, better yet check his stats during playoffs. People need to learn football.
January 22nd, 2025 at 2:12 pm
JOE I don’t blame baker for the lost but the turnovers are a problem. Can’t win games that way and we deff lost a few this season because he throw some really terrible picks or lost fumbles. We all know the defense in trash and yes blame goes to them but also baker knows he needs to protect the ball a lot better. Turnovers usually determine the outcome of a game and when you add in a terrible defense well you just can’t turn it over
January 22nd, 2025 at 2:29 pm
Baker lost 2 fumbles in the regular season this past year, both games were victories. Even though he took the heat, I’m still not sure he was at fault for the fumble against Washington.
January 22nd, 2025 at 3:24 pm
Baker Bowl In not arguing that any fault lies with Baker. If you notice my previous statements, even pinning the fumble on him is a stretch at best. He accepted blame bc that’s what he does, but JMc caused that fumble.
I’m just pointing out that you can’t use 0 punts as a way to say the D played poorly when they made numerous 3rd down stops and even a few 4th. The fact E WC had 5 4th down attempts at all shows the D made good stops at times.
I do put the majority of the L on the D, but when it mattered most, the offense could’ve taken the game and didn’t. Out of the people responsible for that, in order, I blame JMc (fumble), Graham Barton (poorly timed poorly timed snap), O line (not giving Baker time to make plays,) Baker (letting go of the ball before JMc had possession) and Coen (I honestly felt it was the worst play calling he has done, but unarguably so since the bye week.

Yeah, it’s never Baker’s fault.
Last year when Baker throws the pick with 2 minutes left in Detroit and the game on the line – that also wasn’t his fault.
It’s never his fault, he’s perfect! If only everyone would stop letting him down and undermining him we’d finally see he is the NFL MVP and the GOAT! He’s the best of all time! If only other people would stop sabotaging him!
January 22nd, 2025 at 3:47 pm
Baker didn’t play perfect, but pretty close to it! That dude is a FOOTBALL PLAYER and a leader of men! Bucs should count their blessings that the Browns and Panthers are dumb and the Rams only needed Mayfield for the injured Stafford!
January 22nd, 2025 at 3:50 pm
For all those that think Baker was the reason the Bucs lost, let me point this out AGAIN.
Baker’s completion % was UP in the game from his 71.4% (second in the league for QBs that played 12 or more games) to 83.3% in the Wash game (highest of all QBs in the playoffs).
Baker’s Y/Att was UP from 7.9 yards (7th in the league for QBs that played the 12 or more games) to 10.3 in the Wash game (2nd highest of all QBs in the playoffs, Josh Allen averaged 10.5 vs Denver).
The run game was DOWN from 5.2 yards per carry to just 4.0 yards vs Wash.
Baker was over performing vs the regular season and the run game was down by almost a quarter of their performance per play in this game, so how is Baker responsible for the lack of offense? Blame the coaching staff and game plan for taking the ball out of Baker’s hands (lowest # of passing attempts this season AND % of pass plays was down from 54% in the regular season to just 41% in this game) when it was clear the passing game was the only thing working, and working well.
January 22nd, 2025 at 5:54 pm
It’s fair to criticize Mayfield for throwing too many INTs this year – he absolutely did.
But let’s also recognize that not all of them were due to bad throws from Mayfield. There were at least 2 or 3 of them that were batted / tipped passes. Another 1 or 2 that bounced off the hands of a WR, plus J-Mac letting a DB literally wrestle 1 away from him. I can handle my QB throwing 10 INTs on the season if he also throws 40 TDs.
As for the Washington game – the ENTIRE offense made mistakes. Dropped passes, fumbles, bad snaps, penalties. Even Coen had a bad game plan.
It was a total team loss.
January 22nd, 2025 at 6:36 pm
Imagine the meltdown rod is going to have when the Bucs extend baker next year…mount munch will blow and bury Tampa😂
January 22nd, 2025 at 8:02 pm
I like Baker but the fumble lost the game, and the interception at Detroit last year did to. I like Bucky and White but they fumbled away games. Overall the offense has been great, just didn’t work out on those plays. Nothing harsh just got to keep getting better.
January 22nd, 2025 at 10:10 pm
Bowles record overall is under 500 but with the bucs as head coach he has a winning record 27&24 & in the playoffs all 3 seasons as head coach in Tampa u people suck u know what STFU losers

I call him out when it’s him, and when it isn’t, I point out why. Go watch a replay and tell me I’m wrong.
It was a good snap, a good reception of the snap, and a good turn for the hand off to a guy who was no longer there. There’s only one person that can cause that.
January 23rd, 2025 at 1:03 am
Rod Quarterback Envy Munch. I’ll lay in wait all season long hoping Baker will do anything I can blame him on something, anything. Even when 99% of fans know the route was bad and you can’t fix it at that point.
I just thought of this Baker is basically tied for 2nd place in the NFL’S passer rating. 3 way tie with Goff and Burrow. That IS elite company. 2nd place. Mahomes is 16th. Mahomes has only had 1 season better than Bakers 2024 season. The good thing is Baker will figure out how to protect the ball better this year and he will have the #1 passer rating next year, which will mean he will be the best performing NFL Quaterback in the league. That’s all he has to do to set a record season high passer rating. Gonna be fun to watch Baker take his place at the top!!! Superbowl will be next!!!!
January 23rd, 2025 at 1:14 am
You are right Critmark. When they were using Bakers arm they would fly down that field in 6 plays to the 10 or 20 ready to score. It seems they get there and the field becomes compressed and their normal passing distances are altered forcing them to kick a field goal. Score with a 20 yard dart to any of the studs we have. Don’t compress the field.
January 23rd, 2025 at 1:23 am
2025!!! Open up that offense Liam Coen. Continue to let Baker read those defenses, change the plays at the line and score at will!!! Score score score win win win #1 scoring offense in the league!!! 2025!!!!
January 23rd, 2025 at 10:45 am
That jet sweep fumble sucked and Mayfield took the blame, but reality is, McMillan screwed up as well. The snap timing was off so that left Mayfield with two options, try to hand it off or pull it back. A more experienced receiver would have slowed down and watched the ball all the way into his hands. Baker couldn’t ‘speed up’ the handoff, but McMillan could have slowed down his running. Plus, taking a handful isn’t a muscle-memory action for a WR as it is for a RB, especially at a full sprint.
Worst-case scenario if McMillan has to slow down to ensure that he gets the ball and it screws up the timing of blocks, etc is a TFL. You can survive that. Hindsight being what it is, maybe you don’t call that play that deep on your side of the field with a rookie or maybe you call it with R. White instead?
I agree that Mayfield needs to cut down the turnovers but his gutsy play has won us more games than it’s lost us. Ppl will point to last year’s INT in Detroit in the waning minutes of the playoff game. That was do or die and risks are taken. Ask Brady about his last pass as a Patriot. Same situation and was a pick 6 against Tennessee to end their playoff run, but hey… it brought Brady to Tampa.
