The Return Of Sean Tucker
December 8th, 2024Since Sean Tucker went nuts against the slimy Saints, running for 136 yards, the Bucs have put him on ice.
Since that New Orleans game, Tucker had 14 carries for 26 yards. Until today.
Tucker hurt the Raiders for 47 yards on three carries, including a key 34-yard run in the fourth quarter. He did it in place of Bucky Irving, who messed up his back and sat about two-thirds of the game.
Bucs coach Todd Bowles was pretty impressed with Tucker’s production.
“It’s a luxury that we are pretty lucky to have,” Bowles said of Tucker. “Not many teams have three guys that you kind of just can plug and play. They are all different backs and good at their own thing.
“But having Sean come in there and add some physical runs in the gap game and be able to bounce the ball and create an explosive – that was huge for us.”
Tucker’s run seemed to ignite the Bucs offense, which had been in a funk highlighted by turnovers.
Having Tucker come off the bench somewhat fresh to jump-start the offense could become a huge weapon for the Bucs, especially with a beat up Irving.

4 more games is alot of season left to play. We need Bucky close to 100 percent when he plays. Those hip pointers can be nagging and painful. If we can use White and Tucker getting the touches this next game or two and let Bucky heal up we’ll be stronger heading into the playoffs. We have a game offensive line and with these 3 backs we are potentially the team that nobody wants to try to defend in the postseason. I know I still haven’t seen enough of Tucker. Maybe this week?

Hey Joe, No mention of Kancey’s late hit on QB Last Vegas press is making it a big deal and some may want him suspended.

Ive been saying it since the preseason, our best runner IS Tucker. He has done zero to prove me wrong. Yes, Irving is good. Tucker is still a better runner. Power and speed. Two things Irving doesn’t have much of. Tucker is a stud.

I agree Tucker is our best running back.

The offense definitely got some juice when Evans got his long catch and that led to Tucker’s long run, and great blocking for White’s TD. Evan’s catch seemed to start it, and we need to get him the ball more. He seemed to be very juiced the entire game so hopefully he is well and can ball for the stretch run.

I like Kancey, but it was a boneheaded play.
The mindset seemed to be, “I chased you a long way, and you are getting to get a shove to make sure that you remember that I was chasing you!”
It didn’t look vicious. I saw nothing that made me think that he intended to injury his opponent. But, it was a very late hit, and it should have been flagged.
A fine seems to be an appropriate wake-up call from the league. Suspension seems like overkill for an unsportsmanlike act that did not seem to have vicious intent but still seems to have caused a surprisingly bad injury.

Tucker blew a huge block leading to a sack – and his ‘highlight’ play was just running forward through a giant hole, literally a play any scrub RB in the NFL makes.

Lmao Tucker can’t pass block or catch man smh

Tucker has earned more carries. especially if Bucky isn’t there

I have reached the conclusion that Trey Palmer is a bust. He’s another Jayden Darden as punt returner. He runs timid, is very passive n seems to always look for outta bounds. Why don’t these coaches call players out n hold them accountable? Also, he has proven nothing in the receiving game. He’s a one hit wonder. After making a big catch n run in the playoff game against Philly last year, some folks put him on a pedestal as if he’s the next Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson. JDean needs to be released. Paid too much to play like a try out player. He too is never called out for his multiple missed tackles. Defenders are reading Baker on the short screen passes. They know to jump up n tip the ball. If he continues to play as he has the past few games, he will be the demise of this offense. Other than Evans, why can’t our receivers get open?

So many of us have been waiting and asking to see Tucker’s breakout and he did just that. He’s a keeper.
December 9th, 2024 at 8:14 am
pounding the table all dam season, tuck could be a top 3 back in the league
December 9th, 2024 at 9:05 am
Remember when Tucker had two costly fumbles in a previous game? That is possibly why he is invisible sometimes. He does run hard though. The Bucs continue to be their own worst enemy though.

No way Tucker is better than Bucky. Lots of RB in this league are big and fast but Bucky has that rare twitch shiftiness and vision that separates him from the rest. Plus he has much better hands and route running than Tucker.

Tucker is a good runner and our best returner.
Problem is he can’t pass block, which makes him one dimensional. That said, you could def run 2 back sets with him and white the same way they have with White and Irving.

Rod munchkin OMG u r the worst u r not a bucs fan I have never I repeat never heard a positive thing come from u r pie hole u r an azzhole

All last year I wondered why Tucker was not used and even this year his best day was against the Saints. That should count for something if he can work on blocking and not fumbling. They have drills in practice for both. I am sure that White and Irving have both fumbled but that does not stop them from being used. Sean was Offensive Player of the Week against the Saints. I thought after that he would have a break-out season. Perhaps more reps would give him consistency. Look at his work-out video, He is a beast and may be shifty like Irving due to the things he works on in that work-out.

Great to get Tucker some touches. He’s our fastest back and given good blocking and a clear path he’s a danger to house 1.
He is clearly our #3 back tho. Anyone who’d suggest he get RW or Bucky’s touches is delusional.

A 6th round pick literally can’t be a bust.
December 9th, 2024 at 9:51 pm
Buddha, the NFL rarely suspends players for late pushes which is all Kaancy did.
dmatt, sixth round picks, no matter how bad they play, are rarely considered busts. No players drafted on the last day of the draft are considered busts no matter how bad they play.

SPEAKING of late pushes……. I hope we have one! This season flew by to me. Also….. I don’t comment often but I’d like to take a moment to tell ALL of the regular contributors how much I enjoy reading the comments even if I think they’re crazy or negative or Kool Aid drinkers. The passion is awesome and entertaining thank you! Personally I think as we predicted… the lack of NATURAL 4 man pressure on the D line is really shining a light on the overrated secondary. But it goes both ways… if the pressure was there it’d definitely help them. MERRY CHRISTMAS folks.
