Stinking Panthers At Bucs, TV Map

December 28th, 2024

Bucs fans in Florida, the NFL is trying to divide you.

Joe gets a lot of complaints from Bucs fans in Orlando, Jacksonville, Southwest Florida and the Treasure Coast that local TV stations are instead piping in the Jags, the Dolphins, the Steelers, the Cowboys or the Packers. Well, this Sunday, if you live in Florida and want to watch the Bucs free, Joe hopes you live in Central Florida.

Basically, the state of Florida will be carved up by the NFL.

Folks in north Florida will get the Jags. Folks in South Florida will get the Dolphins. Folks in the Panhandle will get the Bucs.

And yes, Central Florida, including Orlando, will have the Bucs broadcast on their local CBS affiliates.

Yes, CBS. The game today with the Stinking Panthers will be on CBS (WTSP-TV Channel 10 locally). The old rules of NFC games exclusively airing on FOX affiliates no longer apply.

Bucs fans in Oklahoma and most of the Old Confederacy will see the Bucs via their local CBS affiliates as well.

Other than that, if you want to watch the Bucs, it’s either Sunday Ticket or head to the local bar.

Ian Eagle, Charles Davis and Evan Washburn will handle the call.

Of course, Joe always encourages fans to hit up their neighborhood Hooters for cold beer, hot wings and the legendary Hooters girls. Oh yeah, and football on the flatscreens, too.

CBS Early Window Broadcast Map

Blue/Purple: Carolina @ Tampa Bay
Red: New York Jets @ Buffalo
Yellow: Tennessee @ Jacksonville
Green: Miami at Cleveland (late)

As always the TV map is courtesy of 506Sports.com.

I’ve had Sunday Ticket for about 25 years. (thank God DirecTv no longer owns the rights) Every game every Sunday. My own bathroom, my own beer, my own food, my own remote control! Can’t beat it!!

The map is showing us in more spots this week. That’s a positive. Unfortunately, it is a big divide in FL. It is crazy how this is all designed.

    Right on, Lt. Dan!

  3. james white Says:

cape corl -ft myers—cbs is not carrying the bucs 1pm game but
carrying the 4pm miami game. why can’t cbs show the early game ?

  4. Falconrap Says:

“Yes, CBS. The game today with the Stinking Panthers”. Uhhh, I think you mean the game tomorrow. 🙂

  5. John Sinclear Says:

Just Great!! Oklahoma gets the Bucs game – SW Fla gets the Dullphins! Way to go, CBS! (Communist Broadcast System?)

  6. BucsfaninOregon Says:

Lt. Dan, I wish you would tell me the advantage of Youtube rather than Direct TV. Only advantage to Youtube is you can share your subscription. ( Yes, that is an advantage). That’s it.

  7. Mike Johnson Says:

NFL Sunday Ticket for me. Bucs need to wake up and bring it.

  8. Fred McNeil Says:

In Orlando we typically miss one BUCS game a year. Even during the lost decade we would rarely lose two of them. Listening to Gene Deckerhoff isn’t such a bad consolation prize. I almost can’t remember whoever it was before he came along on BUCS radio.

  9. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

We had Mark Champion before Gene. He was excellent.

  10. Lt. Dan Says:

@BucsfaninOregon: YouTube Tv carries the Bucs and all other teams every week. DirecTv no longer does. YouTube Tv does not have weather issues. DirecTv does. YouTube Tv cost half the price for more channels. YouTube Tv allows you to put your channels in any order that you want. Advantage YouTube Tv.

  11. heyjude Says:

When I had Direct TV it was always going out, and remembering being stuck with a 2 year contract. It was terrible. Went back to cable, and then cut the cord for YouTube TV.

  12. Fred McNeil Says:

Oh, yeah, Jack. Now I remember. Yeah, he was pretty good too. Thanks.

  13. orlbucfan Says:

Mark Champion and Dave Kazorick (sp) did Bucs Radio decades ago. David Logan (RIP) did color for awhile. Only thing stopping it mañana is a tornado or two. I’ll have it on.

  14. Jethro Tull Says:

The poor people of the southeast. This one shapes up to be an ug fest. It’s hard to sweep a divisional opponent, and they lost to us kinda like we lost to Dallas. That has to burn.

Don’t be surprised if the defense comes out and lays another ostrich egg in the first half tomorrow.

  15. August 1976 Buc Says:

We see Bakers Oklahoma Buc fans get a game, thats cool

  16. Noleriff Says:

Sooooo Tallahassee gets two 3-12 teams instead of the Bucs…. Makes total fu**in sense!!
