Rachaad White Comes To The Rescue

December 8th, 2024

Came through when needed.

NFL coaches always talk about the next man up when players go down. Today, one could argue that was running back Rachaad White.

White, with Bucky Irving shelved early with an injured back, had to shoulder the load. And he came through. White had 109 yards from scrimmage with 90 yards rushing and 19 through the air.

White scored two touchdowns, one on the ground and one receiving, the NFL game in which he caught and ran for a TD in the same game.

The Bucs offense was sluggish through much of the game. White did his best to spark it when, late in the third quarter, he ran left and blasted Raiders rookie corner Decamerion Richardson with a ferocious stiff-arm very much like he did in the Bucs’ win at Munich two years ago over the Seahawks.

Joe was stoked!

White’s tough three-yard run through traffic up the middle gave the Bucs a 21-13 lead with 8:47 left in regulation.

After the game, he didn’t seem interested in talking about the Bucs regaining first place in the NFC South with four games left.

“It feels good just to get a win and be on a winning streak,” White said. “We’re just focused on who we have next.”

After White’s touchdown run, the Raiders never seemed to bounce back. Playing with backup quarterback dismal Desmond Ridder after Aidan O’Connell was carted off, the Raiders never could recover from White’s second score.

So today there were all sorts of players with the opportunity to break the glass ceiling with the next man up marching orders.

It was White who did just that.

So it seems we have our run game corrected! Finally! Perhaps next draft we can go defense mostly. Wow they are seriously depleted!

  2. Panhandle Buc Says:

We need to go DB for most of the draft!!!!!! Maybe a true #3 WR in the mid round, cause the drop off after Evans/Godwin is SAD!

The 3rd round pick had two TDs. Shepherd was tough all day too.

With a new OC and some new road graders up front white is a lot better at RB and man he’s dangerous in the passing game as we all know. Now for it’s time for the anti white crowed to go to sleep and stop saying to bench him for Tucker. I like Tucker but he’s no white. Bucky and white are studs and Tucker and back them up end of story

It’s almost like our running backs have actually been productive all season long outside of 1-2 games… despite certain peoples agendas to push a false narrative claiming otherwise.

    Very impressed with White lately

Think White has learned something from playing with Bucky. Online hasn’t hurt either. Great game Rachaad. Next thing you know, the Joe’s will come off their White is a bad RB shtick.

A good game with White pounding the ball and then Tucker coming in with the big run. Maybe Coen will put Tucker in an I behind White LFG! Unplug the Chargers!

White looked great today. Amazing what happens when you get good blocking – and you don’t have an ultra predictable run game and defenses can’t just sit on the calls.

Only bad thing was that worthless scrub Tucker coming in and running through a wide open huge hole and getting yards that White deserved.
