Mike Evans Is Him

Dominant.
Although Cheetah Hill is having a down year, pretty much anyone who follows football wouldn’t argue (much) if he was delcared the best receiver in the game.
Oh, Joe loves Ja’Marr Chase and over in the corner Justin Jefferson is waving his hand. But then there is the greatest offensive player in Buccaneers history, Mike Evans.
And NextGen Stats suggests that only Cheetah Hill is better than Evans — at least more productive when it comes to deep balls.
NextGen Stats points out that since 2016, only Cheetah has caught more touchdowns off deep balls than Evans. Cheetah has 42. Evans has 34 after catching two yesterday.
The fact that Evans did this against a Chargers defense that before yesterday only gave up an average of 15.9 points is pretty damn impressive.
And that’s exactly what Evans is: impressive.

The Bucs are not a big Metropolitan area. By NFC standards their identity doesn’t register on the NFL radar.
If Mike Evans was in NYC or LA he’d be the NFL poster child. He’s a bonnifed 1’st round HOF’er.
Would anyone bet the house on Evans being elected to the HOF on the first ballot? He definitely deserves it but the irritant main steam media
would never admit to their incompetence.

Mike Evans is the best every single time. Plus he is humble and all about the team. He has so much going for him and we are lucky he has been on our team.
Love the video graphic. Reminded me of the electric football games at our house when I was young. Many still play them.

ME13 is great. There’s absolutely no doubt and a HOF’er for sure. However, Cheetah, Jefferson, Chase: He is not. Mike is 99th in the league in YAC. I get that he missed some games but he’s simply not that guy. One of the best possession receivers to ever play the game but he’s not known for breaking away from DBs. Sunday was a rare occurrence and I absolutely loved it…. But that’s not what he’s known for. Jump balls? Throw it up there and I’ll get it? Hit me when I’m in the end zone? 100%!
Now I have no idea how you rank that against receivers with breakaway speed but I know this, Mike Evans is great.

Mike always shows up to play on game day. A true anchor of the team.
From a football standpoint it doesn’t get any better than him.
Only the Cheetah has won a title like Mike. Jefferson and Chase, not so much.
And Mike is a total team player. Those three are more about themselves.

If Jameis was the QB for the past 5 years, Mike would be close to or ahead of Hill. However, he Bucs might have only made the playoffs once in those 5 years.

The media is FINALLY giving Mike his flowers and routinely discussed now which bodes well for him being 1st ballot! If you try and forecast who he will be up against when he’s eligible…I don’t see anyone who could keep him out his first year…NOBODY!!

The first TD was a career-defining play. Every skill he brings was on display. That has to be one of the Top 5 most exciting plays of his career.

TBBF, while that is true, I think the Chargers were well aware of that fact. It was 3rd and long, Harbaugh was going to blitze. Common approach. They got burned for it. No doubt Bowles would have done the same, just like most NFL coaches

I would take ME13 over any other receiver. Hes someone you build the franchise around. Don’t get me wrong chase JJ cheetah all are the best in the league. What they do after the catch is just crazy but ME13 is way more consistent than them and has proven it for 10 seasons in a row and look at all the diff QBs he’s had. Hes no diva there’s no drama with him unless we play the aints with lattimore haha team 1st guy and just a baller. It’s bin a blessing to watch him for 10 seasons going on 11 now. ME13 is a great example on how every WR should act. He for sure will don the gold jacket

There’s a little homerism in that. JJ and Chase have never had a sub-1000 season, their average catches per season, yards per game, and catch % are higher than ME. They just haven’t played as many seasons as ME. Not discounting ME at all, but on a per-year basis, JJ and Chase have been just as consistent as ME.

When he doesn’t drop easy balls, Mike Evans is a fantastic HOF WR.
Just please keep that focus, Mike, and look it all the way and secure it like this past game and don’t be thinking about things like: which fan you’re going to give the ball to, etc during the play. Lol
We love you, Mike. Just please catch the dang easy ones too and not just the tough ones…

Mike is the most consistently productive, top tier, WR of all time. He’s never been the best WR in any single year but he is the most dependable year after year. That’s a very good thing.

ME13 has more class in his big left toenail both on and off the field than Cheetah Hill has in his whole body. Mike has never been a diva nor has he ever complained when he was stuck playing for some stinkeroo Bucs teams when he first came here. He better be a first round HOFamer!! Go Mike and Bucs and bury the Cowpukes!!
