Lavonte David Is A “Gruden Grinder”

December 18th, 2024

“Hey Lavonte, f%^& those a$$holes who think you’re no good. I know you rock! Those other dumb@sses are too busy kneeling for Kirk Cousins! Love ya’ man!”

Joe for years has pounded his keyboard suggesting Bucs iconic linebacker Lavonte David is the most underrated player in the NFL.

Year after year after year David produces at a level that even morons should recognize is one of the best, if not the best in the NFL at linebacker — yet David cannot sniff a Pro Bowl. It’s really criminal because Joe is confident David is having money stolen from him (salary bonus incentives).

In the past, Even Mina Kimes of BSPN has noted how sinfully underrated David is.

The guy just cannot get any run from people who are not X’s and O’s junkies. And it seems Chucky is getting tired of it as well.

The man who first brought a Vince Lombardi Trophy to Tampa in January 2023 took to Twitter for his gig at Barstool Sports and offered up his “Gruden Grinders.” These are players who fly under the radar but have significant impact for their teams in the previous weekend.

Chucky selected David as one of his “Gruden Grinders.”

“The heart and soul of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense,” Chucky began. “And he has been doing it for years, Lavonte David.”

Then Chucky inferred that just because the clowns on the hollering shows on BSPN and FS1 don’t mention David doesn’t mean he’s not a dominant player.

“The man has been grinding forever down here in Tampa,” Chucky said. “He’s forced out 31 fumbles in his career.

“I love Lavonte David.”

If David can somehow get two more forced fumbles, that would tie him with Hall of Famers Reggie White and Charles Woodson with 33, good enough for 20th all-time (T.J. Watt and Tamba Hali also have 33).

But Chucky is right. David has been balling out for a long, long time. Sad that so many either ignore him, choose to ignore him, or just flat out don’t know any better.

But yeah, you national empty talking heads, keep on slurping and panting about how Kirk Cousins will lead the Dixie Chicks to the Super Bowl like you did non-stop all spring and summer.

Idiots.

Gruden sounds like a guy that wants to coach the bucs again

  2. Brian in St Pete Says:

If Lavonte was on a NY/NJ team, a California team, or a team with a star on the helmet, he would have been a multi-time all-pro and at least 10 time pro bowler. The bias is real.

  3. OHBucFan Says:

    Kirk. Idiots. Fully agree.

We all love Lavonte too. He has been underrated. However, all-in-all, our entire team has been underrated for far too long. Now we are finally seeing the Bucs get their due. Go Bucs!

  5. Jethro Tull Says:

    Preach it, Chucky and Joe!

  6. JimBobBuc Says:

The Bucs PR team needs to share LVD’s numbers in the production meeting Sunday Night and Ira should be at the game pushing LVD for HOV to the press.

The Bucs, especially LVD, need to beat up on America’s team in primetime and get some national respect. No letdown!

Preach it, heyjude! I agree with you 1000%. Bucs still aren’t getting their respect. I still remember laffing my butt off at that ahole Cris Collingsworth when the Bucs won their first SB. You would have thought he ate some rotten roadkill. the yahoo is from east Central Florida! Graduate of Astronaut HS in Titusville and a star player from UF. Go Bucs, win 5 in a row!! Beat the Cowjokes in Dallas!! And beware of the refs.

  9. Bucs And Them Says:

Not only is Lavonte David our MVP, he deserves to be a 1st ballot Hall Of Famer. It’s criminal, the lack of respect and accolades nationally. He should be the next commissioner of the NFL. Goodell sucks!

  10. Lol Says:

its comical how badly lavonte has been overlooked. The same way Mike Evans was until the last couple years. Maybe if enough people in the media start talking about him, then he will finally get his roses. But when your own Hall of Fame voter doesnt support a deserved player, you know you really have an uphill battle. Maybe Ira will come around if/when the national guys say its ok? Like Ira did for Evans too. I vividly remember Ira saying Mike Evans was a maybe just a few years back. Then once the national landscape changed and all the outlets started talking up Mike, then so suddenly did Ira. Ira, I love you man but you are kind of a frontrunner for these guys. Lavonte has the stats, consistency and demeanor to be a Hall of Famer. The popularity is the only thing he is missing and who’s fault is that??????????????????

The dude called for Kirk Cousins to lead Atlanta to the NFC title game in September. Smh 🙄

  12. Mr. Editor Says:

Yes, Chucky loves Lavonte David, but he also loves Kirk Cousins.
