Chimes in on Mike Evans.
Bucs stud left tackle Tristan Wirfs has some words for world-renowned JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman, or whomever replaces Ira as Tampa Bay’s selector to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Bucs future Hall of Famer Mike Evans just keeps racking up the numbers.
Per NFL Research by way of Kevin Patra of NFL.com, with another 150+ yards and two-touchdowns game yesterday, Evans is now in very elite NFL company.
NFL Research: Mike Evans earned his seventh career game with 150-plus receiving yards and multiple receiving TDs, which is fourth-most in NFL history — trails Jerry Rice (17), Don Maynard and Tyreek Hill (8 each).
Though Joe just learned of this late last night, it wouldn’t surprise left tackle Tristan Wirfs.
Last night after the Bucs curb-stomped the Chargers, Joe spoke to work in the Bucs locker room. Joe asked Wirfs what he thinks when he sees Evans tear up excellent defenses like Evans did Sunday?
Wirfs left no doubt and he was all but pointing a finger at Ira.
“Oh, gold jacket!” Wirfs yelled. “Gold jacket. It’s unbelievable.
“[Evans] wears a 32-long and his left arm is just a little bit longer than his right.”
That left arm has made serious, stretching catches over the years. Hence, why it may be longer. Evans has stretched iit out for superior catches.
There aren’t too many receivers who have better career numbers than Evans. Those that do have one of those gold jackets Wirfs talked about.
For those not connecting the dots, members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are awarded a gold jacket upon induction.

I’d love to see #13 play 13 seasons. In 2026, Evans would likely move to 9th in Rec Yards and 4-5 in Rec TD. He’d also past Rice with most consecutive 1K seasons and be the only WR in history to never have a -1K season. That would be amazing!

ME13 is finally healthy. That really set me off in what happened to CG14 this year. The OLine is coming together. Now, if Coen would call creative QB plays.

I love Baker and the GOAT. But I do believe Mike Evans makes every QB he plays at minimum look just a little better. I have heard Baker make a couple of comments about how he admires Mike the football player.

Ira has been clutch as the one and only HOF lobbyist for The Bucs. Sapp & Brooks on 1st try, worked the room over and got in Barber who was underrated to most voters not familiar with Tampa and Barber’s true prowess and probably pushed Lynch over the hump/wall when it could have gone either way. Long live Ira Kaufman aka Irv CoughMan.
