“Either Everything Goes Downhill, Or You Find A Way To Fix Things”
December 5th, 2024Some NFL players know all about losing and what forms it can take.
The Bucs have a few dudes on the roster that played through The Lost Decade. Whether they want to admit it or not, bad teams often head in the wrong direction late in a season. Bucco Bruce Arians has been open about it.
Another guy who speaks freely about the phenomenon of a crumbling team is Bucs receiver Sterling Shepard. He arrived this year after eight years with the bumbling Giants.
Shepard reiterated yesterday how appreciative of the Bucs’ culture. Shepard loves the work ethic and steady approach that doesn’t have players hanging their heads.
He said experience — Giants experience — tells him the Bucs are on the right track to finish strong.
“I lost a lot of games with New York, unfortunately,” Shepard said with a smile. “But, you know, I’ve seen things go one or two directions; either everybody kind of goes downhill or you find a way to fix things. And with this team, that’s the mindset, that’s the mentality. ‘We’re going to get things going are way. We just got to keep stacking the days, stacking the practices.”
Joe doesn’t doubt the Bucs’ drive and mentality. The mental toughness? That’s another story.
Fans will learn a ton about the Bucs over the final five regular-season games. If they can’t play good football consistently now, against mostly weak opponents, then why expect it to happen next year with the same leadership?

This is what will happen, Baker and the offense will struggle the better a defense is and our defense will struggle against any offense and so will our DC/HC. The one true blue loss we have left on the schedule are the Chargers. It will probably get out of hand rather quickly

I highly doubt that will be the only loss in the last 5 games. I’ll believe it when I see it.

That last line says it all. Glazers must already feel like they are experiencing Deja vu. Start strong, get into a losing streak that threatens the season, close out the season with must wins just to get above .500. Who knows what happens in playoffs if even get there.
Shouldn’t exactly fill the owners with confidence. How many times do they wanna see this record spin with a young and talented roster?

All this talk about a soft schedule is crazy talk. We’ll get the best of the Saints and Panthers next time out – it’ll be a revenge game for both and possibly their superbowl when we cross paths again.
I’m no more worried about the Chargers than I am about our NFC south foes.
Play solid, complimentary football and we beat anybody. Keep making stupid mistakes we lose to anybody.
Lets go Bucs!

TBBF just doesn’t trust the defense in close games…..it happened again Sunday….at the end of the game and in OT….then we got lucky….

Mostly up to Mayfield. Also we should blitz less.

Pretty deep into the season think fans have learned all they are going to learn about the team. go bucs

I don’t know how any Bucs fan could have a warm fuzzy feeling inside after watching several late game collapses by the defense. If I’m gonna lose, I’m going down with a fight, not in a “Prevent Defense”, or whatever that junk has been.

The bigger question is why did the team fold again mid-year just like last year?
December 5th, 2024 at 4:05 pm
But Did They?
I don’t see the TEAM as folding at all.
Just a lot of you so called fans.

The Bucs will/can win this game. Only worry I have is the opponents hail from Los Vegas, the $$$$$$gambling mecca $$$$$$$ of the US. Don’t know nor care what their whales have presented as odds on this one. I just want to listen to a fair game. According to a lot of imbeciles on here, that is asking for the impossible.
