Dan Graziano Still Has Faith In Bucs

December 25th, 2024

Saving the season.

While his colleague at the four-letter, follicly-challenged Billy Barnwell, doesn’t even consider the Bucs Atlanta a contender (he listed weakest links for all Super Bowl contenders but did not include any NFC South team), Dan Graziano is not ready to throw in the towel on the Bucs.

Graziano is just not feeling it with the Dixie Chicks. It seems if he were a betting man, Graziano would lay cash that the Dixie Chicks cough up their hard-earned first-place position in the division someway, somehow.

… all the Falcons have to do is win their last two games to become division champs. I just don’t fully trust them to do it. Washington just beat the Eagles, and Carolina is playing hard despite having been eliminated for some time. And Tampa Bay, regardless of a bad loss Sunday night in Dallas, has been playing much better than Atlanta over the past month and is likely to be favored in both of its remaining games.

Well, just like Graziano doesn’t trust the Dixie Chicks, Joe’s cannot trust the Bucs, either. You do not know which team will come to play and whether the team will be prepared to play (or want to?) for 60 minutes.

The Bucs looked so dynamite against the Chargers on the West Coast, then a week later looked like they were coming home from the bar after six hours of football watching.

The Bucs should beat the Stinking Panthers but dang, Carolina took the Bucs to overtime and it took a miracle by Anthony Nelson for the Bucs to dodge a bullet. That shouldn’t happen to teams with their backs against the wall like the Bucs, thanks to too many games like that this year.

So which Bucs team shows up Sunday, the good Bucs (curb-stomped the Chargers) or bad Bucs (embarrassing showing in Dallas)?

We can only hope they took the Panthers lightly in round 1 and correct some issues after getting dragged this week.

Here’s the real blow. Y’all know the Panthers are going to play hard. The Bucs….who knows if they want it enough. And that’s an legit indictment of Bowles.

  3. heyjude Says:

The Panthers have something to prove so unfortunately they are going to come in strong. The Bucs need to come in like they did against the Chargers. So much is on the table with the next two games. We need to start using that home field advantage too. Go Bucs!

it’s been said and it really holds true this year…

    we can beat anyone…yes anyone…

    and…

we can lose to anyone…that’s right…anyone…

we are just that type of team

  5. adam from ny Says:

currently the panthers are sorta like the best 3-12 football team in the history of the nfl…lol…

    they’re playing a heck of a lot better than a 3 win squad…

kudos to our old OC for steadying the ship over there and keeping that team focused…they’re playing well…you can not sleep on dave canales’ crew…

the dude will be back next year, and very well might be f’in with 8-9 wins

  6. Hodad Says:

The only silver lining with a loss is it would certainly be the end of Bowles in Tampa. It’s bad enough losing all four primetime games, having already lost four home games another home loss won’t do much for Bowles remaining as HC. Let’s see who wants it more. I think Washington has a let down after beating Philly, so I’m not counting out Atlanta.

  7. Jeffs grandpa Says:

It’ll be so nfc south style for both Bucs and Falcons lose this weekend

  8. BucU Says:

This team is DOA. Put a do not resuscitate tag on them and call it a year.
The most disappointing Buccaneer for 2024…Antoine Winfield Jr.

i don’t know about everyone else, I know our tram isn’t perfect but I want them to make the play-off, it gives me one more week I get to watch my team.

  10. adam from ny Says:

can someone hail me a cab, or should i just take the tram with george ?

    🙂

Hi, yes agree the Bucs can beat anyone and also lose to anyone. One always scratches their head with this team. What is known, Bowles will not change his defense and the middle of the field will remain soft. If the pass rush gets there, the Bucs have a solid chance to win, but so often it does not get there. Teams use short quick passes then the Bucs miss tackles. We watch it over and over yet we somehow think it will change. The Bucs d just doesn’t have the players to run Bowl’s defense, however, he is to stuborn to acknowledge or has nothing else. The D lacks outside rushers. We expect David to hold up the others in the middle when at his age the other lb’s should be holding him up. The secondary is weak . They miss Davis, and the safeties are not playing well. So when you fail to get a pass rush and the back end of your D is soft, the Bucs are showing exactly what happens. I like Bowles, but at this point he is hurting the team. Good chance Car. wins this weekend. Yes of course Atl may lose as well. Agree that is about right

If the Bucs lose Sunday look for the Bucs to fire Bowles. The Bucs have the talent but are missing the Messager and a real leader.

  13. Badbucs Says:

Jumping on with George and Adam. We could knock off a playoff team or two if we get there. A little momentum for next year….

  14. Architek Says:

I’m just over the Bowles experience, man. Just over it.

  15. firethecannons Says:

We only won against the Panthers because of 2 missed field goals, and a bad call on what may of been a Thielen touchdown and a last minute forced fumble by Anthony Nelson. The Panthers just came off a victory at Cardinals. They are better than they were a few weeks ago. The Bucs are supposed to win this game (not good for the Bucs). What the hell. We need to hope and pray the Bucs win against the Panthers because if I had money to bet I would bet the Panthers win. Unless Bowles lights a fire under their asses, we are done now. and Bowles said last press conference he doesn’t have to light any fires–the players already know what is going on.

  16. firethecannons Says:

I do think the most likely scenario is the Bucs lose vs the Panthers and the Falcons lose vs the Commanders. I think then the Bucs win against the Saints and the Falcons lose against the Panthers the following week.

  17. Anyhony Says:

Just get Mike his 1000 so I feel like it’s all been worth it.

  18. Zwak Says:

So do I it’s Todd Bowles I’ve given up on..
