Bowles defense is not complex from the offense point of view. When you blitz the coverage schemes get less complicated by rule. Since Bowles blitzes ALL THE TIME it’s quite easy to find open spots.

That’s literally what a soft trash zone calls for.
If coaches want players up tighter, they’ll tell them to play up tighter. But that’s not what Bowles wants. He wants everyone standing around in a trash soft zone defense because he thinks if you give the other team unlimited chances to pick up 7 yards on every play, sooner or later they’ll screw up. As we know, that isn’t how things work out.

I literally hate this game more than any game on the schedule every year since they almost always go like this.
Hopefully Baker comes out and plays well in the 2nd half since the team is only going to win on offense, everyone knows the defense is trash.
Lets see what happens, which Baker shows up – the guy who has been pretty good this year, or the guy from last year that would have a couple of good games in a row, then play like s— for weeks at a time. So far this year Baker has earned the benefit of the doubt and I think he’ll do just enough to pull this out. Hopefully.

He has done this for many games this season as well as last season.
Watch what will happen… yet again… Bucs will fall behind in the 2nd half, probably by 2 scores, and then the Defenses will go to a softer zone or prevent, giving up stuff underneath. Mayfield will then rack up garbage time stats like he always does, ending up with yards that make him look like he had a decent overall game when he didn’t.”
The Baker Homers will claim he’s “elite” because he ranks high in some stat categories, ignoring the fact that so many of these stats were in garbage time when the game was out of reach. Homers will say “oh man, the final score was so close!” yet fail to admit that it was close because we were down 2 scores until late.
Baker is NOT elite will NOT lead this team to any sort of Super Bowl run for as long as he’s our QB.
Will Kyle Trask lead us? Who knows. Sure, Trask may turn out to be a bust. But the guy deserves a chance to play to see what he can do.
Baker is NOT the answer for this team. All the “moxie” and confidence and gutsy runs don’t make him an elite NFL QB.
