“We Adapt And Conquer”

November 1st, 2024

Anyone else notice Baker Mayfield taking on more endorsements?

Joe saw Mayfield in his new Nissan commercial with Tim Tebow and Robert Griffin III. Fun stuff. It would not make Joe by a Nissan, but Mayfield did a good job sitting the driver’s seat of a horse-drawn carriage and trying to get his horses Boomer and Sooner to move.

Mayfield also popped on a Hellman’s mayonnaise cooking video late last month with Tristan Wirfs.

Mayfield lost the cooking challenge but talked about bouncing back, something he’ll need to do Monday night in Kansas City. Will Mayfield let his team lose three in a row?

“Improve. The great ones do. We adapt and conquer,” Mayfield told his mayo-loving audience.

Joe’s having a little fun here but Monday’s game is serious business and Mayfield needs to “adapt and conquer.”

He’ll have his hands full with the Chiefs’ stout defense, but Joe wants to hear of Mayfield having an impact with his own defense.

Todd Bowles has talked publicly multiple times about Mayfield’s leadership and how great he is uniting with defensive players and earning their respect — and subsequently leading the whole team.

Well, if leadership like that matters (Joe’s not sure), then maybe this is the week Mayfield gets all over his defense to take more pride in their work.

Nobody watching the Bucs defense lately walks away saying, “Man, this is a focused, hungry, swarming and consistent group.”

Loving Baker and love the mayo commercial with Tristan and Chef Gee too. All the commercials are fun to watch. “Improve, Adapt and Conquer.” ~ by Baker Mayfield. Go Bucs!

7 picks in 3 weeks is a disturbing trend, and bad timing when you need to establish credibility with your defense in a leadership capacity.

Gives you something to talk about. Did those three interceptions vs NO prevent Tampa from scoring 75 points? Probably, but they won that game 51-27.

If the rest of our team would play better football and pay attention to what they are supposed to be doing mainly the defense, Baker wouldn’t have to press so hard and there wouldn’t have been so many interceptions. Most of them weren’t on him. He feels like getting back in a game is all on him. Actually most of his teammates really need to step up. Baker is one of the guys on offense that is playing great football.

Baker IS our QB for the next 10yrs!! He WILL bring a Lombardi (or 2) home!!
    GUARANTEED!!
NOW, let’s work on our defense and WIN!!

I think the Bucs have a better chance of beating the Chiefs than they did against the Ravens. The Chiefs haven’t been playing that well lately. Mahomes is their primary threat. Got to spy on him, and don’t let Kelce get wide-arse open in the middle of the field. If Baker can get us close to 30 points (and no interceptions, please), I think we have a good chance of putting this one in the W column.

I hadn’t seen that mayo commercial. It was so much fun to watch. Thanks, Joe.

He needs the extra money to pay for chiropractor appointments. Dudes back hurts from carrying the entire team all year. Our defense is a disgrace once again under Bowles, a “defensive genius”. We’re wasting an awesome offense. Give the dude a break.

LOL. Unless/until the obvious change is made by Glazers and Jason, this ship is sinking faster than the Edmund Fitzgerald.
