“I’m Ready Now”

November 18th, 2024

Jamel Dean

Let there be no confusion, Jamel Dean said, he’s ready to play Sunday against the Giants.

“I’m ready now, the Bucs starting cornerback said at One Buc Palace today. The Bucs moved Dean from injured reserve this morning to the eligible-to-practice list. That’s a necessary formality and the next step is putting Dean back on the active roster.

He missed the past four games with a hamstring injury — and the Bucs have lost all four.

Joe’s not calling Dean the team MVP, but he will represent a huge step up from Josh Hayes and undrafted rookie cornerback Tyrek Funderburk.

Dean said he spent the bye week at One Buc Palace getting into football shape. He praised Bucs trainers for working him extremely hard.

Joe is uplifted. Now it’s time for good news on fellow cornerback Zyon McCollum’s hamstring issue. Joe is less hopeful when it comes to that.

    So what?

Nothing matters… nothing can be a positive as long as Todd is the Coach. Just ask the obsessive-compulsive Todd sucks azz crew.

Actually, you don’t need to ask them – they can’t shut up.

    Seriously good news!!

First game back for two guys with wonky hamstrings…. on that crappy carpet in NJ?

    What could possibly go wrong?

  4. Tucker Says:

Hopefully Zion is back because those two will just shift to the other side lol

  5. NJbucs23 Says:

He got his usual 4 weeks preseason off paid.

  6. Dave Pear Says:

Excellent news. He’ll just play 20 yards deep of anyone near him and then slip and fall trying to run up to them acting like he’s in pass coverage. At least nothing goes over his head, though.

  7. Architek Says:

Dean represents bad value based on his performance, availability, and compensation.

It’s good to see him back. However, conversations and analysis needs to be had about the return on investment for Dean. Secondly, is there better value opportunities out there to replace him.

But realistically, it will be hard to not bring him back because we have so many holes at ILB and OLB and now WR depth.

Dean sounds really positive. He worked out hard with the trainers all week. That is a good sign.

    What Architek said.

  10. Jeff Says:

This might be the only truly winnable game the rest of the season. The Giants have given up. The Bucs should give up on clueless Todd.

  11. Panhandle Buc Says:

And Mike?? Looks and feels like we are getting healthy just in time to run this table!!

  12. Beeej Says:

Todd was winning before all the injuries, just saying. Sean McVay won a Superbowl then lost 11 games the next year, happens

  13. Canabuc Says:

    Zyon and Mike health news?
Also any idea how many weeks Wirfs is expected to miss?

  14. Dale Says:

Has anyone noticed that since they went to 17 game schedule players have found a way only to suit up for 14

  15. Crickett Baker Says:

    Good news. GO BUCS!

  16. Buccaneersfrom76 Says:

Buccaneers are going to win out! 11-6

  17. Simeon4HOF Says:

Dean knows he needs to have a pro bowl-like rest of season to stick around. Secondary did miss him tho.
Time to see his super tight coverage and pick every other game some more lol
