“I Think We Stack Up Well”

Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht was a confident guy before today’s kickoff.
And it had nothing to do with Bill Belichick praising him going viral last week or Jon Gruden being honored on the JumboTron.
Licht was on the Buccaneers Radio Network feeling good about the Bucs’ chances against the reigning NFC champion 49ers this afternoon.
“I think we stack up well,” Licht said.
The Bucs were a touchdown underdog but Licht was on the money. The Bucs did stack up well.
Their offensive line was wearing down the 49ers in the searing Tampa sun. The Bucs had a lead in the fourth quarter and the ball — three times.
Is it Licht’s fault the Bucs grounded Bucky Irving like a punished teenager? Is it Licht’s fault Todd Bowles’ sad defense can’t adjust its way to being below average?
If Bucs fans want to cry about Tampa Bay’s weak edge rush or the team not getting linebacker or cornerback help at the trade deadline, Joe will listen. But was there enough talent on the field to win today’s big game? Joe thinks so.

Guess who scored the winning TD for the Steelers, the available Mike Williams that the Jets sent them. 4 catches by receivers says a lot and I know Bake was getting rid of the ball quickly but he wasn’t harassed a whole lot

I still believe in Licht. However, I do not believe in Toad Bowels, and really never have. Now would be a wonderful time to send him packing. I like whoever suggested the Liam/Saleh combo. Make it happen Glazers!

I’m sorry but Baker choked this game, Coen made poor calls, and Bowles just generally sucks as a HC. This team should be 6-4. 7-3 with a competent coaching staff

We will go 3-4 over the next 7 games. Todd will use his “go-to” excuses. Glazers will bring him back. Licht will draft another undersized injury prone OLB at 13 and another undersized ILB from some tiny D3 school in the second round unless a 5th round punter is available $$$$ 100%

We stack up better against the Chiefs. The 49ers are a physical team like the Broncos and we do not stack up well against these teams. Did appreciate the effort from Mayfield after we lost Wirfs though.

Nah. Failed to capitalize on 3 missed FGs and some heroic QB play down the stretch. Licht clearly has a lifetime contract for talking Arians outta retirement. He is on his 4th head coach and may hang around to see a 5th.

The Bucs were tied and lost on the last possession against both the 9ers and Chiefs. They stacked up pretty well with both.

Everybody is pissed against Bowles…..
You are plying with no CB no WR with no LB, (LVD had a good first half horrible second) we are playing with no safety’s because both are playing like s#it….. your best players ME13 and CG14 are out…
That being said what did any person with any common sense would expect????
Bowles is a coach not a magician……
There is no depth on this roster, coach have to handle the situation with really bad players on key positions.
Somebody has to explain why there is no CB or just one LB and WR outside ME and CG are mediocre at best….. That’s not on the coach

Underperform with 6 years of drafting really high.
Save your job by promising Arians will fix Jameis.
Narrator: Arians did not fix Jameis.
But you get lucky that Brady wants to win with a loser to prove something.
We get stuck with the ramifications of Licht’s awful coaching hires (Arians antiquated coaching tree of Leftwich/Bowles staff.)
We’re struggling with corners because he traded our best one for McMillan.
Yet many treat Licht as if he’s a genius. Why?

Bologna Zzbucs! Every team has injuries. Bucs have stayed a top 5 offense because despite WR and OL injuries, Coen is scheming points for the most part. The D isn’t scheming anything. They are doing what they do and Bowles expects the players to make it work. Ludicrous!
You know what you need to do if your roster is weak and you aren’t executing the current scheme well enough to deny an opposing team 30 points? BE AGGRESSIVE! Go on 4th downs, pass, pass and pass some more, use every second of clock to get as many possessions for your offense as possible. It’s obvious to everyone except the coaches apparently.

The Bucs did stack up well.
Injuries of starters have hurt us and now Wirfs may be out for a while. The hits keep coming. We didn’t have Bucky in the last eleven minutes of the game. Where was Tucker… So many decisions on a whole for offense and defense made.
