ESPN Prediction: Bucs Will Bludgeon Stinking Panthers On The Ground

November 30th, 2024

“Bucky, we got this.”

Even without All-Pro tackle Tristan Wirfs, the Bucs’ offensive line seems to get better and better by the week, both pass and run blocking.

Last week the Bucs faced a garbage team that nonetheless has exceptional pass rushers. Baker Mayfield didn’t get sacked and was only hit twice.

Meanwhile, the Bucs on the ground racked up 156 yards rushing and a hair under five yards a clip. As Jenna Laine of ESPN points out, what the Bucs rushed for last Sunday is just about the average rushing yards the Stinking Panthers allow per game.

The Panthers’ defense allows a league-worst 160.6 rushing yards per game, while the Bucs’ 128.1 rushing yards per game is 10th in the league after they ranked last in 2023.

So this is easy for Joe to figure out: The Bucs always want to run the ball. The Bucs don’t want to get future Hall of Fame receiver Mike Evans hurt (again).

Joe can see this playing out tomorrow: The Bucs are going to run, run and run some more until the Stinking Panthers are willing to call right tackle Luke Goedeke “Daddy.”

Just don’t try to shove White up the middle please.

As long as they show up with respect for their opponent then we will be fine. No need to disrespect anyone have some class and dignity. The moment you disrespect the opponent and act like they don’t matter is the moment they upset you and piss in your Cheerios.

So a humble and honorable Bucs W please.

“Until the stinking Panthers are willing to call right tackle Luke Goedeke daddy”. Now that’s what I’m talking about!!

Another 7 min opening possession TD drive will go a long way towards another W. Bucs should be able to move the ball, as long as they don’t go thinking it will be easy and are focused… shouldn’t be a problem.

Thanks Joe. That made my day.

Hi, Joe, sure hope you are right , but these div. games seldom go as advertised, they just don’t. However, yes I hope we can run and run cause you know what that does?, it keeps the defense off the field and they can’t give up big plays. I agree with you and Ira, still need to see more from this defense. I sure wish the rookie corner was playing, I would feel better about this game.
However, like I said could end Car closes down the run and the pass game opens, who knows in these games, it often goes backwards. I think if the Bucs score a lot of points they can save the game.

yeah i think we’re getting a repeat performance of last week…

something like 30 or 31……to 10-14 point for the panthers…

i know the panthers are making strides over there, but this week will be the “buccaneers setback” for them…

and davey c will be jibberish-ing at the podium afterwards

  9. GoneGator Says:

Hope to see more “pony package” with White and Bucky.
Liam has made note that we have gotten 100% zone defenses when we’ve run it this year. That should be a major “tell” if D’s continue to play us that way and allow Coen to dial up even more creative play calls.

  10. GoneGator Says:

Don’t like it when everybody thinks we’re going to win 😬

Stay hungry… Play disciplined football and execute…. Play with a chip on your shoulder and angrily because most people still think you’re going to flop.

    Let’s go Bucs!

    What Bojim said.

  12. setherick Says:

rhythm plays. run the ball and complete short passes to otton, evans, and the slot receiver. chip away at them. get that going and the big plays will make themselves available against this d.

  13. JimBuc2 Says:

Funny, whenever I picture B.Young waiting for the snap I keep recalling that scene in ‘Lawless’ where a deputy hears “Have you met Howard?” just before getting clocked..
    Just can’t shake the grin.
    Go Bucs.
