“You Definitely Could See A Sense Of Urgency”

October 10th, 2024

Man, Bucs offense coordinator Liam Coen said so many times today that the Bucs “are all in this together,” Joe would bet a few bucks Coen watched High School Musical last night in his New Orleans hotel room.

Speaking to media this afternoon, Coen was adamant that the Bucs are a focused, driven bunch. It doesn’t matter that they were displaced with family and pets to start their road trip four days early. Coen said he’s witnessing a unified purpose.

“You could definitely see a sense of urgency, especially after a tough loss in a game that that we felt like, obviously, they won. But we lost in a lot of ways,” Coen said. “So, how do we bounce back from that? And this a great kind of challenge for us to do as a team, and as an organziation, to go out and put the best product on the field on Sunday.”

Sunday against the slimy Saints does represent a unique challenge. Anyone could argue the Bucs likely will be out of focus given their upheaval because of the hurricane, but one also easily could argue the Bucs are on a bonding trip and should be extra focused.

While Todd Bowles says the Bucs usually play better when they practice poorly, Joe was glad to hear Coen and others talk about how well the Bucs have practiced in New Orleans.

They were supposed to be laser focused…..right before Bo Nix shredded the way-deep cover nobody in particular defense in a home blowout.

I appreciate Liam. Hopefully he knows it’s gonna take 40ppg a game from here on to have a chance to make the playoffs, unless or until Jason tells his subordinate that Robert Saleh is coming to “help with the defense.”

Anyone else notice that sense of urgency only talked about after a loss. After these next 5 games they will be considered one of the top teams in the nfc or just another regular benign team named the Todd’s

There are a lot of ifs that could go either way. Both teams are missing key players.

Evans needs to keep a cool head and not be gloated by Latimore. For the Bucs to win, Baker Mayfield needs to Bake, and the defense needs to put their bad performance with the Falcons in the rear-view mirror.

Tampa and the Bucs dodged a major storm, so the Bucs need to ride their good fortune for a win in New Orleans.

This is a game I only worry about Dean. Donut to a dollar he gets hurt. But he will make up for it with a pick to seal the game. We will see the emergence of a run game with Baker, Bucky and Tucker

How is Camarda? What was the issue? Did he need a doctor, a counselor, an intervention or an exorcism? He’s kinda important. He could have been the difference last week among ten other things.
