Unknown Critic Harsh Of Bucs’ Pass Rush
October 13th, 2024Unless Joe gets p!ssed off, Joe’s run out of steam pointing out how the edge rush of the Bucs is Ralphie May.
A bad joke.
(Yes, Joe knows the man is deceased. But he was dead professionally long before someone found him stiff. Joe saw his Vegas act a months before he croaked and he was so boring and non-funny, Joe was among the dozens who walked out on his incessantly boring, monotone, whining schtick.)
Against the Dixie Chicks, Joe was outraged by how the Bucs choked a win away. The loss re-ignited Joe’s venom for the non-Bucs edge rush and how Bucs coaches and other Bucs types who should know better poo-poo the lack of edge rush stats.
It’s almost as repulsive as someone saying beer doesn’t need to be cold in the middle of a Florida summer. The nerve!
Well, if there is ever a day the Bucs find an edge rush to get sacks, today may be the day, points out an Unknown Critic of the Bucs’ edge rush, published by BSPN.
Because rookie slimy Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler was a sack machine at South Carolina and the slimy Saints’ offensive line is believed to be slightly better than a sieve, it seems today may be that day where the Bucs bust out of their edge rush hibernation.
New Orleans ranks 29th in pass block win rate, which is bad news for Rattler, whose 8.4% sack rate at South Carolina last year ranked 113th out of 128 FBS quarterbacks. The only saving grace here is the Saints are playing against the Buccaneers’ nonthreatening pass rush in Rattler’s debut. Tampa Bay ranks 23rd in pass rush win rate, with no player having more than three sacks.
And here is another factor: Calijah Kancey is back! So perhaps he can help free up Vita Vea. How cool would that be to see Vea chasing Rattler all over the French Quarter?

Anybody watch Undercover on Amazon Prime? It’s Eli Manning’s new show. Episode one Baker Mayfield goes undercover as a fan on superfan’s day at One Buc. It’s pretty entertaining.

Joe … ‘Calijah Kancey is back! So perhaps he can help free up Vita Vea.’
I suspect it’ll be exactly the other way around Joe: Vea freeing up Kancey. Respect goes to the proven performer.

Rather not see Vita running all over God’s creation getting gassed. Let Vita free up others and maybe get a close quarters sack… or 2.

You must have hit a bad show, Joe.
I saw Ralphie years ago and he was absolutely hilarious. His wife opened for him and she was pretty dang funny too. This was probably 15-16 years ago though. Perhaps he ran out of steam before he croaked.

Joe wishes he could remember the guy who opened for Ralphie May when Joe saw him. That guy was hilarious. He was old school like Richard Pryor or Don Rickles. He had a disclaimer before he started his routine. He warned the audience he was very politically incorrect and if anyone was sensitive or easily offended they may want to hang at the bar instead.
