Not Just WAGs Evacuating With Bucs To New Orleans

October 9th, 2024

Cade Otton and his pup heading to New Orleans with the Bucs.

Joe thought this was pretty cool.

The Glazer Family, which owns the Bucs, saw to it that not just Bucs players and coaches and football staffers got on a plane to New Orleans yesterday to beat the arrival of Hurricane Milton. Families hopped on the same flights, too, as the Bucs prepare to face the slimy Saints on Sunday.

But it didn’t stop there.

Several players consider their pets to be family. So they were along on the plane, too. Joe noticed a video from Bucs tight end Payne Durham on Instagram last night showing three dogs.

Fellow Bucs tight end Cade Otton was making sure his pooch had enough room between Otton’s feet and the backs of the seats in front of him.

Joe has to wonder if the Bucs had a hard time finding a hotel that not just had room for the team and families but also accepted pets as guests. Not every high-end hotel NFL teams use would allow pets.

Also in one Otton Instagram videos, there is a shot of him walking his dog down a street in New Orleans.

So the Glazer Family seems to have spared no details helping their players and families in a time of need and concern. Even the animals went along for the ride across the Gulf.

Joe has to wonder if the Bucs had a hard time finding a hotel available that not just had room for the team, but room for families and also accepted pets as guests.

When I moved out to Cali from Florida (driving), we stopped in New Orleans the first night, no hotel reservation… I had one hell of a time finding a place that allowed dogs. May or may not have ended up just sneaking him in at some point lol.

Stay safe my Florida peeps! This one looks nasty.

Bet they had very little trouble if any, at all. Prob own plenty of stock (&/or) close friends with the owner(s)/President/CEO/etc.

With enough Glazer loot, any place becomes pet friendly.

Love hearing and seeing this. Good for the Glazers paying the extra costs. Pets are family too and definitely should be part of the travel.

Thumbs up to the Glazers. Can’t leave your pets behind in something like this. They are indeed part of the family!

Here’s hoping 2- and 4-legged Bucs fans get through Uncle Miltie in one piece. Good luck and stay safe, fellow Bucs faithful.

Cade Otton in that picture looks like a dwarf (little person). No wonder Baker can’t find him on the field.
