Lincoln Riley’s buyout at USC is $90 million. If Joe had that sort of buyout he’d beg the school to pay him off. Clear about $40 million after taxes. Dump $30 million in some S&P 500 index funds (which on average makes you conservatively seven percent annually — that comes out to around $2 million a year), move back to Oklahoma/Texas area where housing is a fraction of SoCal, get a gig at BSPN or FOX or NBC making $2 million annually and live the good life. If you are really bored, be a private quarterback tutor and make six figures a year doing that.     It’s “likely” that the conversation about face masks will come up in the off season. It should be and sooner. Don’t they have committee meetings throughout the season? What about cameras in the end zone too. And Todd is on the committee too.

    I got such a kick out of that “sawed off-runt” story. Like Horn’s moxie! The replacement kicker video too. Thank you for the laugh!

    Vinik is such a nice guy!
