Morning Cup Of Joe

October 25th, 2024

Welcome to your Morning Cup of Joe, an eye-opener to help Joe’s readers ease into their busy workday with a few football links, wacky news and a pleasant distraction.

Distraction of the Day

BSPN may have Jason Kelce host a late-night talk show, sort of a sports version of Jimmy Kimmel. Joe always thought the Manning Bros. show would have been perfect for a late-night talk show. [PFT]

Andy Dalton injures thumb in car crash and will not start Sunday. Bryce Young assumes the position. [CBS]

Broncos receiver gets capped in a strip club hassle. Guess someone grabbed the wrong piece. [Yahoo!]

Cooper Kupp not sweating potential trade. [NFL]

Foghorn Leghorn, Dawg and the Weasel. What better way to start your weekend? [TikTok]

There’s no need for FOX to apologize for the 11 p.m. Rutgers-USC kickoff tonight. There’s nothing wrong with the new #B1GAfterDark. Personally, Joe loves watching live football into the wee hours of the morning. Better than no football. [Front Office Sports]

Don’t fine the coaches; improve the officials. [Action Network]

Less than a year after leading South Florida to one of its best basketball seasons in years and breathing life and excitement into a moribund program, Bulls coach Amir-Abdur-Rahim, 43, passes away. [Outkick]

Al Michaels lists his favorite sports events he called. [Awful Announcing]

Hottest trend in luxury condos? A view where you can watch a ballgame from your couch or patio. Think the old outfield rooftops across the street from Wrigley Field on steroids. [Wall Street Journal]

Wow, Keyshawn saying the quiet part out loud. You never know though. Tyreek is pretty excited about Tua coming back. Wouldn’t count them out yet.

    Agree with McMurphy’s Law.

On the fence about the Kelce show. I like and respect Jason and Travis, but just like the Mannings it gets to be too much PR.
