  1. Alanbucsfan Says:

Only 1 team with a negative turnover differential is a playoff team currently (Chiefs) and that’s because they have the best defense in NFL.
The Defense is struggling, true, but the turnovers have cost Bucs 2 and possibly 3 wins

  2. Upstate NY BUC Says:

Great podcast, did not hold back about our Defense!! I hope Tykee is back for Monday night. It’s a winnable game, c’mon Bowles cook something up we need this bad!! Go Bucs

  3. First Name Greatest Says:

LOL nothing until after the Bye is a winnable game with Todd Blows in charge

  4. Kenton Smith Says:

Ira glad you are by no means ready to give up on this team just yet. You say even if we fall to 4-6. I feel like if we don’t make a statement this next two weeks, although I won’t give up on the team I may start giving up on our playoff chances.

  5. OrlandoBucsFan Says:

Did Bowles develope Hassan Reddik ?

  6. BA’s Red Pen Says:

“They can’t say the sky’s the limit when people done been on the moon.”
    Jameis Winston.

  7. Joe Says:

Did Bowles develope Hassan Reddik ?

No. Bowles was long gone from Arizona when the Cardinals drafted Reddick. In fact, he didn’t break through until two years after Arians left Arizona.

I know on the podcast that there has been a lot of chatter around our current draft picks and how they are not where we want them to be. Then in this most recent one, there were talks about how the team is sticking with them anyway. Then the logic went to, “what if they break out on another team?” and does that mean we just aren’t developing people the right way?

To add one idea in that same train of thinking, look at the players that we have “stuck with” through the thick and thin in the last few seasons and then mercifully, they were cut. I can immediately think of: Leonard Fournette, Ryan Neal, Shaq Barrett, and Donovan Smith. I know Donovan Smith got picked up by the Chiefs for a year and won a Super Bowl, but he has no job now. And neither does Fournette, Neal, or Barrett. These were all STARTERS for the Bucs for an entire season, and then can’t find a team in the NFL that will take them.

This management team is very much all about sticking with their guys, no matter what. And I think that idea is going to remain in the program as they continue to want to build a culture of “we have your back” and then they whisper (even if you aren’t good enough to play on any team in the league).

My prediction: JTS will get the boot after this year and sign for a minimum somewhere for a year and then not be in the league. So 4 years wasted by the Bucs trying to make something work that just doesn’t belong in the NFL. Same with Logan Hall, he will be waived, picked up by someone who is desperate, and then fizzle out in a year.

Come hell or high water, Jason Licht and his team are going to stick with their picks, they are going to stick by their guys, no matter what the play on the field says. And that has been evident this year, as well as years past by the examples above. I think we have to come to grips with that as something that is not going to change. Once you are a Buc, unless you take your shirt off and walk out of a game, you will remain a Buc until your contract is done and we can draft you out of a job.
