Bucs Sacks Party Returns

Calijah Kancey’s long-awaited return was felt..
After pounding Eagles QB Jalen Hurts with six sacks in Week 4, the Bucs’ pass rush sort of took the night off against Kirk Cousins last week.
It came back today in huge way.
After sleepwalking through most of the first half, the Bucs’ pass rush came alive late in the second quarter AND NEVER LET UP.
Joe was in tears. A thing of beauty it was. The Bucs spread around five more sacks in typical Todd Bowles fashion.
Waves of blitzes finally got through and the interior pressure got more consistent as Calijah Kancey made a different returning from his calf injury. Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler went from confident to rattled in record time.
Those five Bucs sacks were spread around through six players with none having more than one.
Magical things happen when the Bucs can rush a quarterback with consistency. Rattler was hit 10 times to Baker Mayfield getting popped only twice.

Still don’t like the way Todd drops his OLBs into coverage, just let them rush the passer. When they do rush they can’t let these mobile QBs get outside the pocket. It happened to much in the first half. We did a better job in the second half.

Todd needs to be told to hire a full time DC. Would love a 50 burger every week but not sustainable. Todd will exude his defense got tired and direct Rachaad up the middle again.

The Saints scored all of their points in one wonky quarter that included a punt return and 10 points off of short fields from turnovers.
After the last Saints scoring drive, they had 8 more drives and only one went over 30 yards. I’d say he called a fine game.

Magical things happen when you adjust your plan when it is not working.
Rattler started with 10/13 passes and the incompletions was just missed throws.
Then from the last drive of the 1st half and the entire 2nd half Coach Bowles changed and started to bring on the blitz. After that Rattler had 12/27 passes.
Of course for the blitz to work the coverage must be tighter.
We just have to be aggressive and not just sit back and watch opposing QBs carve us up.
Yes when you are aggressive sometimes it wont work. But you have to be.

rachaad may have went feom 1st to 3rd string after this game. Sean tucker looked like a totally different back. strong, great vision and patience. if the defense can get it together we can win the superbowl with this squad. mark my words. we need a big trade for d end to set it off

Those blitz got to him. finally bowels did something. Even a 3 man rush got to him. Man what was up with those penalties. I know some were legit but there were so many that were not. Those refs were paid

Kancey is your best pass rusher, getting him back is huge.
But it helps when Bowles does more than sit back in a garbage super soft zone and actually sends pressure.

I think moving Raschard White to WR would be a brilliant move by the coaching staff. He’s already pretty proficient in the passing game and it would mean more money in his pocket in the long run. Which would make selling the idea easier. Come on Joe talk to your Bucs sources. He could be like Deebo Samuel.

Saints backups but we had backups in for every game these guys make millions so don’t give me that bearish not picky noise.if it mattered less then why did they have a lead in the end of 1st half shout u r pie hole u people r the worst of critics u don’t belong on this post site hit the road pear & co.
