Vita Vea Will Play Against The Eagles; Lane Johnson Is Out
September 29th, 2024Ecstasy on Dale Mabry Highway this morning from network news reports that Bucs manbeast Vita Vea will play on his sprained right knee against the Eagles today at The Licht House.
Eagles All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson, as expected, will be out because of a concussion suffered last Sunday.

I really hope this is a decision based on health and not desperation.

Hope I’m wrong. Still not sure he’ll be any good today. He’ll be playing on one leg.

It seems like a lot of Bucs starters are playing at less than 80%.
Then again how many NFL players are actually at 90-100% on game day? Not many, maybe a few!!

Holy crap! Some good news amongst all the gloom. Next you’ll tell us Cancey can play. Nah. How about Klein will start. Just a thought.

Talk about conflicted. We really need this game today, but my mind just won’t stop seeing the Eagles winning by a big margin. I think I’ve got too many residuals from watching recent USF games. The odds are certainly stacked in our favor today. GO BUCS!

Like everyone else, concerned that Vea probably isn’t back to 100% quite yet. But hey, all hands on deck; this is potentially the most winnable game of the next 6 that we’ll play because the Eagles have injuries to key players just like we do.
On the good news side though, he’ll be lining up opposite one of the lighter Centers in the league, and Vea surely will be seeing a lot of double-teams. If he’s healthy enough to hold his own there & still get some penetration periodically, that’ll be a huge help in neutralizing Barkley & getting Hurts moving around. Really hope that the big man can give us at least 50% or so of the def snaps. Gaines (ankle), Gholston (knee), Hall (foot) & Diaby (abdomen) were also hurting this week (Friday’s injury report), and so Vea’s presence looms large.

I think these other injuries are considered light at this point. Looking through the injury reports, a ton of teams are hurting with key guys out. We may actually get healthy right in time. Being 3-1 is what we wanted through 4 games except for 4-0 obviously. Yes, me may get there an unconventional way but hey let’s see. Passing to backups is tough in this league.

Goedeke out three games with a concussion is a big deal. He’ll play again but he may be 1-2 concussions from the end of his career.

We have a new punter…

Philly missing 3 key pieces . If they can’t win this game it would unthinkable.

You mean, there’s a chance. We have a chance lol

Short week after this

YaYa going against another backup. No more excuses you even have your emotional support dog back, Vea.

Along the lines of what @Simeon4HOF said, wondering if it would be better to hold Vita out. Short week and a divisional opponent.

CK is a bust. Can’t stay healthy. Sign a FA or wait and draft someone. This is same song, different verse.

I just hope they didn’t rush him out. I’d hate to see him get hurt and miss significant time
September 29th, 2024 at 12:51 pm
Is Kancey ever going to play this season. We really need to get some people back healthy. This defense is last in sacks if we can’t start getting more pressure it’s going to be a very long season.

Good news! And like others have commented, hopefully it isn’t too early for Vita coming back.
Sounds like Barkley will be very busy today. The Bucs need to tire him out fast. Score early. Go Bucs!

If we get a good lead take him out. Rest him.
