Jalen McMillan Tweaked A Hamstring
September 27th, 2024UPDATE: The headline says it all.
Todd Bowles told assembled media this afternoon at One Buc Palace that rookie receiver Jalen McMillan tweaked a hamstring, presumably in practice today. Bowles said it’s uncertain whether McMillan will play Sunday against the Eagles at The Licht House.
McMillan is listed as doubtful on the injury report issued late this afternoon.

These constant hamstring and calf injuries during practice are simply inexcusable. WTF is our training staff doing or should I say not doing.
September 27th, 2024 at 2:26 pm
And the Iggles are getting healthier. It’s a Bucs life!
September 27th, 2024 at 2:33 pm
Um. Mr Editor, is AJ Brown having “limited participation” for Friday why you are going “Chicken Little” or are you a troll? Just curious……..
September 27th, 2024 at 2:35 pm
What drdneast said …
September 27th, 2024 at 2:57 pm
The HITS…just keep on coming for our Bucs.
September 27th, 2024 at 2:58 pm
Come on man….. Too many years of this! This IS NOT a thing “in general” for other teams. Here it seems a guarantee!
I mean this is just TOO MUCH! Can someone, ANYONE, look into the strength and conditioning staff and FIRE THEM ALL! PLEASE….
And yes Mr. Editor, GO JUMP OFF THE CLOSEST BRIDGE YOU CAN FIND! TROLL!
September 27th, 2024 at 3:06 pm
Why do all of our players get injured at practice and we aren’t even hitting? And it always seems to happen on a Friday. Wtf is going on
September 27th, 2024 at 3:07 pm
Never saw that coming. Are you sure it’s not a calf muscle or an ankle?
September 27th, 2024 at 3:08 pm
Bring up the practice squad. Everyone is hurt.
September 27th, 2024 at 3:09 pm
Wasn’t there a “Gentle Practice Week for the Bucs” post a few days ago?
I don’t know about firing the Strength and Conditioning Guy but how about someone that took a Physics class and not a “Dumbed Down” curriculum so that they could stay eligible to participate is sports?
Newton’s First Law of Motion states that a body at rest will remain at rest unless an outside force acts on it, and a body in motion at a constant velocity will remain in motion.
Game ain’t played in your Underwear unless it’s that Lingerie Football League which the CBA’s keep moving the NFL towards.

The cheerleaders are gonna have to play this one. But according to Bowles they are here for a reason and are just gonna have to step up. We expect the same play from them as anyone else and they just need to get their pom poms in the air to block down passes.
September 27th, 2024 at 3:15 pm
No seriously, he only has like 4 total targets anyway so what are we really missing except the desire to see more go his way.
September 27th, 2024 at 3:40 pm
Bucs can win this without McMillan. Next man up !! Bucs should score 27-30 points with the excellent offensive weapons we have and the variety of ways they can be used. The Birds won’t know what hit em ! I believe our running game will improve as well. I really love the way the OC used motion and misdirection to spring Bucky against Denver. But don’t forget White, he’s chompin on his mouthpiece to have a great game, and he is tough !! Fire them Cannons !! L G !!
September 27th, 2024 at 3:43 pm
I have complete confidence in my Bucs
September 27th, 2024 at 3:47 pm
Would it be easier to just list the +uninjured+ players?
September 27th, 2024 at 4:03 pm
It’s hot as F in Florida. It’s a hydration issue I bet.
September 27th, 2024 at 4:08 pm
We will win this game without McMillan. Next Man Up !! Bucs should score 27-30 points with all the offensive weapons we have and the variety of ways they can be used. I am confident our running game will be productive with White and Bucky both ready to have a breakout game. Bowles will have em coached up and playing like a team !! Go Bucs !! Fire the Cannons !!
September 27th, 2024 at 4:09 pm
The collective health of this team is an embarrassment.
September 27th, 2024 at 4:20 pm
Bucs have been very fortunate with injuries in recent years. That’s all catching up with them this year.
September 27th, 2024 at 4:40 pm
This team is a joke:
>Annually ranked the worst facilities in the NFL
>Constant hamstring issues
>”The team had a great week of practice.” = Blowout Loss every time
I love how Licht drafts. I appreciate his player contracts. After that, his management of the Bucs sucks.
September 27th, 2024 at 4:42 pm
Time for Shep to play.
September 27th, 2024 at 4:43 pm
No one here should be worried or complaining about this rookie going down. He’s not your number 1 or 2 receiver especially if you’re one of those who think we’ll win because of eagles receiver core.

Does our strength coach does never do hamstring exercises are something?
September 27th, 2024 at 5:27 pm
Hire a hamstring specialist
September 27th, 2024 at 5:34 pm
ME13 has done something to bring HIS hammy problems to an end
September 27th, 2024 at 5:45 pm
Shepard and Palmer can cover. More worried about the Dline and Oline.
September 27th, 2024 at 5:51 pm
I tried to warn ya’ll during training camp.
Injury bug is coming hard for the Bucs this year. It’s a goddamn infestation I yell ya!
September 27th, 2024 at 6:29 pm
Non factor
September 27th, 2024 at 7:26 pm
Goedeke went from Full participation to limited. Hopefully nothing but thats a concerning sign for a concussion.
September 27th, 2024 at 7:28 pm
Kancey ruled out AGAIN. Get rid of that waste of a roster spot. He is the reincarnate of Russell Gage.
B U M.
September 27th, 2024 at 7:44 pm
As of 9am, Goedeke hadn’t taken the concussion test
September 27th, 2024 at 8:22 pm
Very concerned with Kancey.
September 27th, 2024 at 8:32 pm
Stop these practices someone might get hurt.
September 27th, 2024 at 8:32 pm
He hasn’t done anything anyways so what does it matter???
And everybody always bitches about useless preseason but IMO it’s probably the most important part of training camp. 100% there is no replacement for real game time. Going from training camp then sit during preseason then to full game is a recipe for tweak injuries. This will always happen until you go hard in training camp, play hard in preseason and smooth transition into regular season.
September 27th, 2024 at 8:40 pm
100 percent inaccurate. Coaches prefer the controlled scrimmages. Trust Joe, he’s talked to them.
September 27th, 2024 at 9:10 pm
How would playing in a preseason game prevent a non-contact injury in a practice?
September 27th, 2024 at 9:19 pm
Bucs need Goedeke and Vea to compete. I hate to say this but Kancey is becoming a bust. If he can not stay healthy than he is as worthless as Logan Hall.
September 27th, 2024 at 9:31 pm
Joe, could it just be what they like better and have nothing to do with the readiness or health of the players? Are you too close to the subjects you interviewed? Home early to the wife…..objectivity an issue?
September 27th, 2024 at 10:51 pm
He’s gotten maybe a handful of targets, McMillan is the least of my worries. I’m more concerned in kancy missing games second year in a row due to his calf injury. I’m interested to see Trey Palmer play. I think his speed, with Evan’s physical domination, and godwins routes. If they can all play well could be a deadly recipe for disaster for the eagles. I really hope geodeke is back as well. Our tackle depth is concerning.
September 28th, 2024 at 3:12 am
we will be fine with our other receivers….
let’s be real – he has had no significant impact as of yet
September 28th, 2024 at 4:35 am
Sorry to hear this. I thought Bowles said they were only having gentle practices this week? However, he also said when they have a bad practice, they do well at the game. So the bad news could end up being good news. The Eagles have players hurt too, as well as other teams. We are not alone. Go Bucs!

Not properly hydrated and not warming up/stretching and warming up !!
It’s a Discipline especially if peeps are taking more muscle enhancing products that also in return dewater the muscle .Water is the muscles oil . It’s a Discipline as young athletes say under 18 just don’t have to worry about as often . So bigger faster, stronger less water in your body it becomes a discipline and you have to have a strong knowledgeable staff to prevent these things………. A strength coach doesn’t necessarily per se may not be as informed as say a good track coach. ….. Then you have to have a GM and a head coach that realize they have a problem and clearly the bucs aren’t taking a serious enough Or just don’t realize we can almost entirely be prevented.
September 28th, 2024 at 11:34 am
Of course he did.
September 28th, 2024 at 12:03 pm
Coaches prefer the “controlled” practices over a ‘real game’ environment, because all coaches are CONTROL FREAKS. They would rather create specific scenarios and situations, in order to work on particular formations, schemes, plays, etc. They’d much rather control everything versus the randomness of what a game will provide. I believe it’s much more of a hydration and stretching issue than anything else, though I do believe there needs to be more contact practices, & less rest, etc. Also, players seem to ‘sit out’ over every little thing now, where as in the past, guys would try covering up injuries (etc.), going as far as chopping-off fingers in order to stay in the game and PLAY.
