C.J. Gardner-Johnson Had Belt Put To Ass — His

September 30th, 2024

Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson (8) helps up teammate and cornerback Darius Slay (2) Trey Palmer begins his touchdown celebration.

If you are going to shoot off your mouth about how you are going to dish out corporal punishment to an opponent, it might help to back it up and play well.

It also helps to finish the game.

Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson crowed before yesterday’s loss to the Bucs how he was going to “put belt to ass” on Bucs receivers.

It didn’t take long for the Bucs to use that same belt on Gardner-Johnson. In fact, the Bucs had Gardner-Johnson running around so much chasing receivers with the ball, Gardner-Johnson finished the game in a kiddie pool filled with ice water in the bowels of The Licht House right outside the entrance to the Bucs locker room.

As the Bucs marched towards the lockers, they had to walk around paramedics and trainers who were tending to Gardner-Johnson. NBC Philadelphia reported Gardner-Johnson was soaking in the ice water tub with an IV in him.

The former Gators star and former teammate of Jamel Dean at Cocoa High School was in no condition to run smack after the Bucs curb-stomped the Eagles.

In the end, it was the Bucs who took the belt out on Gardner-Johnson.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer team.

(In all seriousness, Joe hopes Gardner-Johnson didn’t suffer seriously for being overheated. Joe never wants to see that happen to anyone.)

I was at the game and there were more eagles fans there than Bucs fans. Before the game they were talking all kinds of smack and chanting. I was as loud as I could be taunting them as much as I could. I’m horse and might lose my voice. there is nothing more I can’t stand then an eagle fan. they are the worst, all first half I was screaming Zerooo Zeroo, they got quite so fast it was a great day.

I totally agree with your disdain for eagles 🦅 fans. I will never forget them walking of the stadium last year doing that nauseating E A G L E S chant!! I loved the way they walked out the last two times, quiet!!

Ain’t he the dirty f_cker who took out CG14

  7. Joe in Michigan Says:

CJ Hyphenated-Name’s comment before the game was just as dumb as Rod Munch’s “the Bucs shouda run the score up” comment after the game. Hahaha

Starting early in the fourth quarter as we saw eagles fans heading out, we started a chant: E-X-I-T, EXIT! As they headed to the exits. Got a bit of the crowd involved and laughing. It was great.

Talking crap is stupid. Have some class and whoop people behinds without all the yak yak. Cheap shots and cheap talk is why I despise the Saints so much.

    Go Bucs!

  11. BobbyuBucsFan Says:

Like an actual kiddie pool??? They have those at the stadium ready to go?

  12. Bucnjim Says:

Karma will find you no matter where you are. You just can’t hide from it! Was talking crap at my fantasy draft now I’m 0-4. I know better than that.

A Sean Payton coached Aints DB took CG14 out with a blatant hit to his knees. I don’t think it was this dude. CG14 is back to full health, and proving it. Thank you for the win, Bucs! We needed it badly around here.

Love the music with that video. How embarrassing that has to be for Gardner-Johnson. But one thing that stands out in that video is the clean pocket Mayfield had to throw from. Seemed like yesterday was the polar opposite of last week, when Mayfield had to fight for his life on nearly every play. Yesterday he had plenty of time to work through his progressions and make accurate throws. Is the Eagles’ pass rush that much worse than Denver’s, did the o-line improve their play, or did Coen scheme more protection?

  15. Jarchista Says:

Gardner played for the Saints from 2019 – 2021.

  16. BA’s Red Pen Says:

If he didn’t run his mouth and get in fights with his own teammates nobody would know his name. He isn’t a good player.

  17. Joe Says:

Apparently. It was a black plastic (?) kiddie pool. Guess that’s common to use for someone overheated. Joe walked right by it when the paramedics/trainers were dumping ice in it.

  18. Gipper Says:

Listened to the video several times. Still don’t know what that guy was saying. Maybe he said: “Bucs have a lot of class?”

  19. Bosch Says:

Hey should have drug him and his kiddie pool out to the 50 yard line for everyone to see.

  20. Paratrooper Buc Says:

Don’t talk the talk if you can’t walk the walk.

Joe, you are a better man than me. I would have taken a picture of him in the kiddie pool and posted it with the caption “his belt stuck to his ass.”

  21. unbelievable Says:

Anyone get a vid or pic of him in the ice bath?

I’d like to return some friendly trash talking to him on Twitter

  22. David Says:

Someone needs to make a good meme

Joe likely would have had his credential pulled for that.
