Bucky Irving Vows To Play Sunday

September 26th, 2024

Says he will play against Eagles.

Bucky Irving was held out of today’s practice that was shoved inside the Glazer Shed due to Hurricane Helene.

(Joe doesn’t know about the rest of the Tampa Bay area but at Joe’s abode 45 minutes from One Buc Palace, the sun was actually shining at noon. No, really. Breezy but otherwise Joe wouldn’t know a hurricane nearby. Joe hopes everyone in the Panhandle through today unharmed.)

Irving is nursing a sore hamstring. However, per Sara Walsh of NFL Network, Irving claims he will suit up for the Eagles on Sunday.

@Sara_Walsh: Irving just told us on zoom he’ll be ready for the game on Sunday.

Joe doesn’t know what to think of this. Hamstrings linger. The Bucs clearly need Irving on the field but given the brutal next two months of the schedule, this could make the Bucs’ season or bury them.

So do you risk Irving just for one win and maybe lose him for a few games? Joe doesn’t know which way to roll the dice. If Joe had seen Sean Tucker with some good regular season runs this year, Joe would be inclined to shelve Irving. That’s the great unknown.

Joe has seen enough of Rachaad White to know what to expect.

Nothing wrong with giving Tucker a chance with the starting oline

  2. Matt_PcAfee Says:

It’s awesome hearing the crowd chant BUCKY BUCKY BUCKY

  3. Woodenman Says:

Joe what did stay at a Holiday Inn last night . Leave the Medical decisions to the professionals.

  4. Fred McNeil Says:

I would imagine the coaches and trainers will decide.

  5. Pewter Power Says:

Todd Bowles gives the best back on our roster limited reps anyway so he’ll be just fine

  6. Nutterbuccer Says:

Lets see Sean tucker….he can not be any worse than white running the football. I am a white fan but damn enough is enough.

  7. churrasco Says:

Wow! SI is reporting that Canales may want to trade for Trask since Young is pissed off at being benched. Link in my red name.

  8. Dewey Selmon Says:

Play his a$$, last week you thought it was a good idea to rest Vita Vea for the harder part of our schedule. That was right after the multiple MVP Mayfield articles.

  9. churrasco Says:

    PLAY BUCKY PLAY!

  10. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

Let’s see what Tucker has. No need to blow up Bucky’s hammys. It’s a long season.

  11. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

Trask to Carolina is going to happen.

Whether it’s this year or next.

  12. Nicholas Carlson Says:

Ira isn’t allowed to talk about injury luck anymore on the podcast

  13. heyjude Says:

Bucky would love to play on Sunday. His medical team may think differently. Agreed, depending on the grade of the hamstring sprain, it could linger.

  14. Bojim Says:

    Yea. Play some Tucker.

  15. Hodad Says:

Tells me Bucky ain’t no buttercup like some of his teammates. They know who they are.

  16. churrasco Says:

Joe reports what anyone and everyone says about anything, but now there’s a story about our #2 quarterback being traded to the Panthers to backup Dalton and Joe ignores it. WTF?

  17. Erik w/ UniqueModernArt.com Says:

It’s borderline criminal that Tucker has zero touches this season.

  18. Kenton Smith Says:

Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan : Why would you want Trask to go to Carolina? He’s got a better chance to play here than he would have backing up Andy Dalton. I think he’d do fine if we needed him here. I’ve always thought Dalton’s a damn good QB. I’ve never thought that about Trask. I guess the positive takeaway here is that if Trask leaves than maybe you’ll leave too.

  19. Crickett Baker Says:

Trask trade. Godwin trade. These are headlines for clickbait. Joe would tell us if there was truth there.

  20. JustVisiting Says:

Unless you’re facing elimination in/from the playoffs, it doesn’t make much sense to rush a legit injury.

  21. Lakeland Says:

So Bucky has 30 touches this season, and now he’s being held out from practice, because of a hamstring injury

Rachaad White has 594 touches and haven’t missed a game
And Bucs fans want him gone

    SMDH

  22. PewterStiffArm Says:

Shawn Tucker needs some reps so we can see what he does against better competition. Even if Irving plays, we need Tucker to have more plays. If the coaching staff realizes that Rachaard is not getting it done, which they have plenty of evidence already, passing downs only baby, passing downs only.

  23. LongTimeBucaneer Says:

Go with the healthy player every time. Sean Tucker can back fill White.

  24. Badbucs Says:

You’d think we would have some world class trainers on staff. Maybe they’re all too busy with so many hurt guys.

  25. Nope Says:

    Bo Nix🤣🤣🤣

  26. Jake been there since the beginning Says:

Bucky and Tucker all the way they have real heart.
