10 Most Important Bucs Stories Of Week 1

September 7th, 2024

Not addicted to all things Bucs 24/7? Don’t sweat it. Joe is helping you catch you up right here before opening day:

In no particular order …

*Bucs locker room is attaching itself to rookie Bucky Irving.

*Bucs disrespect has Pat McAfee in disbelief.

*Get ready to see a very different Tampa Bay offense.

*NFL executives crap on the Bucs.

*It’s a significantly different Chris Godwin.

*Bucs signed a new quarterback.

*Washington will rotate left tackles against Tampa Bay. (No wonder Dan Quinn is triggered by Todd Bowles blitzing.)

*Why is Graham Barton sucking wind and telling everyone? Still, Barton says he’s a much improved player.

*Todd Bowles sums up the fraud that is preseason.

*Jayden Daniels is extremely vulnerable. Rondé Barber explains.

****Just missed the cut.

*YaYa Diaby remembers his tears.

*Big talk from rookie reciever Jalen McMillan.

*A Vita Vea defensive MVP projection.

*Rachaad White is sick of being worst.

*Sage Ira Kaufman makes 20-plus Bucs season predictions.

Anyone thinking Bucky is here to replace White does not understand just how special White is. Bucky is here to help preserve White for many many years to come.

Just to be clear, White is Smooth and Fast while Seemingly Floating Like a butterfly, defenders are left with the feeling of being stung by a bee.

Perhaps a HOFer in the making cut out of the old Eral mold himself.

This could be an epic with Bucky spelling the next GOAT RB.

Its almost disrespectful to think that White is not in the conversation for MVP this year.

“White is….Perhaps a HOFer in the making…MVP this year”

Dude – I’m one of JBF’s most vocal advocates for White getting the lion’s share of carries this year because he IS a good runner when he’s got some daylight to work with – despite Joe(L)’s long running narrative that he’s terrible runner (false) but a great receiver (true).

    But MVP?? HOF???? C’mon now….

Sounds like it would be Wise for you to ‘just say no’ to Crack.

  7. SenileSenior Says:

The way White glides when he runs reminds me of Eric Dickerson. We now have a decent RB trio.

    Go Bucs!!

Nice to see you have jokes to go with your thoughts. Although I do not find it funny to disrespect the Joe(“s”).

As far as what you think about my comments, your Pickgrin the wrong fight.
If you listen to me, WiseCrack will make you smile for the first time in a long time.

  9. Crickett Baker Says:

This was a great article. I am glad that it was long and gave me a lot to read because I was all excited. I woke up today thinking it was Sunday.

Thanks for starting my morning with a smile. Pickgrin is one of my favorite posters and I pretty much echo his opinion, but I love your counterpoint.

I’m happy to have another renegade. It’s supposed to be FUN isn’t it?

Perhaps I’m just not hard core enough. Some guys come here to get some jollies showing off their expertise and “Fandom rank”, I get and support that, and there are some very astute dudes here, it’s just not me. I’m here for the info AND entertainment. I look forward to your contributions.

BTW As to R White. I’m hoping you’re correct, not seeing any reason you’re not until you’re not, and IMHO this is a pivotal year. Too many weird variables the first two years, which were certainly successful but I believe this year’s team will set him free to become the star you predict. I’m never a cynic but always a skeptic, so while I’m rooting big time for R. White both for the team and for him personally, I remain the “Doubting Thomas”. Or perhaps Jerry McGuire…”Show Me the Money!.” Worth googling, “show me the money” funniest 1:00 ever in a sports film.

  11. RJBucnut Says:

I love JBF but you guys love to make mountains out of mole hills. Barton has never played a down of football in Florida. This was his third preseason game in the state, in addition to two joint practices/scrimmages.–Joe
Hell I was born and raised here and the heat still sucks the life out of me but to keep nitpicking what he said in mic’s up is so trivial and not even an issue but u guys love making issues up. Joe cares deeply about the Bucs and shares what Joe finds interesting. The Bucs themselves edit/approve these mic’d up segments and wanted everyone to hear it. Joe sharing concern is not “making issues up.” Joe is sure Barton will be fine, but it might not be Week 1. –Joe
Barton will be fine. He’s a smart kid and I’m sure he knows what he has to do to get into better shape.

    Cheers my friend!!!

  14. RJBucnut Says:

    Fair enough

  15. Ol' Boy Says:

Whoa wait wait wait. JBF articles need approval from the bucs organization? Joe has no clue as to what you are referring to or thinking. –Joe
Could we get some clarity on this. So that might explain all these ridiculous disrespect articles yous keep dodging up. It’s their marketing. Ugh

He said “mic’d up segments” not JBF articles, pay attention.

  17. Ol' Boy Says:

    A misread, Joe. Thankfully.

  18. heyjude Says:

Thank you Joes for all the hard work! All great articles.

Pratt may end up being the number 1 backup for Baker. Graham will keep getting better and better. Loving Bucky.

Thinking that Vea is going to have a great game today. Go Bucs!
