Power Move By Rachaad White

August 7th, 2024

You like that, Baker?

Fun moment at Bucs practice today, unless you were Christian Izien. Rachaad White demonstrated he still has a potent stiff-arm.

Joe is confident Bucs fans well remember maybe White’s best game since being drafted in 2022. In came in of all places on foreign soil. In Munich, Bavaria, southern Germany.  The first regular season NFL game in the land of lager, brats, pretzels and quart-sized mugs of beer.

There, White had one of the greatest stiff-arms Joe has ever seen. He literally launched then Seattle defensive back Quandre Diggs while running left. Joe is confident Bucs fans with young sons show their offspring that highlight on YouTube and tell the youngster that’s the way to get rid of would-be tacklers.

Well, today, White pretty much did the same thing. In a run to the left Izien came up to tackle him and White put the stiff-arm on him.

Now this time, Izien was not launched like White did to Diggs. But trust Joe, White got separation on the play.

After practice, Joe joked with White that it appeared he might be guilty of Bucs-on-Bucs crime. White actually felt bad about it.

“That’s my teammate,” White said of Izien. “That’s my guy. It could have been worse. I really didn’t want to do him like that. Just trying to get ready to play football, man.”

White admitted guys are here for jobs and indirectly, for pay. Sometimes, you have to do things like that to a teammate with the goal of winning games and perhaps a Super Bowl.

Nothing personal, White emphasized. No malice. He likes Izien. But he also has to demonstrate his wares to Bucs coaches.

“Show what I can do,” White said of the play. “Be physical. Set the tone.

“But that’s my teammate. We were just playing some football.”

Joe asked White if that was his best stiff-arm since Munich in a win over the Seahawks. The question stumped White.

“I don’t know,” White said. “That’s a great question.”

After pausing to think, White believed he had another good stiff-arm in the Bucs’ playoff win at home against the Eagles.

If ever there was ever a time to break out a good stiff-arm, it couldn’t come against a better team than the Eagles.

I could care less what a rb does to a small db that didnt want to take his legs out. Because Izien makes those tackles, and wont have to go high in a real football situation. Chalk it up as typical non-news from a training camp. Show me on Sundays, White. Go Bucs!

Sometimes he talks a little too much, but on the whole, you can’t not love this dude. A genuine stud in the making now that the bullfighters have been replaced with real offensive linemen.

  3. David Says:

Nice. White can be real good with a tad less patience after the handoff and he needs to keep those legs moving when getting hit. He tends to stop.
Can’t wait to see what he & Bucky do with an improved O-Line.

LFG I’m pumped to see the Bucs replacement players, coaches and cafeteria staff in Saturday’s first useless and meaningless preseason game. LFG

I hope he can give Devin White a solid arm shot.

Hope he throws stupid Diva out of the stadium. I want to see that forker humiliated and beaten. Fork that dorchbag.

In the street if the guy had the ball and was running along the outside of the sidewalk there were no reservations about driving the guy into Mom’s Bushes.

It’s Football. If you’re on this side of the ball it’s ‘US’ and if you are on that side of the ball it is ‘THEM’. Pretty simple.
Save the nice for afterwards over a Beer or Protein Shake whichever is your preference.

  8. Dave Pear Says:

    South! LOL!!!

    Protein shake!

    Bwaahaa.

Good one. Then they can touch feet afterwards. The wussification of the great game continues

Next guy I would have interviewed would have been Izien lol,

  10. GP Says:

White seems to be coming in to his own.
    I predict 1000 plus.
Add to that his receiving yards.

  11. GP Says:

Yes, an improved O-line will be the reason for the “plus”

I hope he can give Devin White a solid arm shot.

White has to get to the second level of the defense first.

It’s probably a better bet that White gets a shot or two on Mayfield. Eagles Defense will be attacking under Fangio. It’s going be the September Eagles or better and that January Embarrassment will be more than enough incentive.

South – might be true. But, how did Siriani let it go from 10-1 to bullocks? Maybe their problem is the head of the snake.

  15. Bakersbucs says Says:

Dave pear calm down little philly get it little philly?

  16. Badbucs Says:

Rachaad will take out Devin in some pass pro. Bucky better learn or he won’t play much.
