I think the better question is, if it was 4th and 2 with the game on the line, who would you give it to? I would choose Bucky.

  2. Addb Says:

Not picking the rook until he does it in a real game

  3. Plex Says:

Go back and watch the playoffs last year. Chad picked up some tough yards on the ground in gotta have it situations where the line didn’t open anything up. Bucky has looked good playing against future Uber drivers and auto zone clerks, but let’s take a step back off the hype train for a moment until he breaks some true nfl tackles.

Bucky college highlights are just too good. His vision and instincts are much better than whites, although I will say white did improve as a runner later in the season last year. Excited to see them all.compete for touches.

God, there’s so many stupid people here that have any idea what they’re watching.

Bucky has looked great so far, but he’s done nothing vs starting defenses yet. All you morons proclaiming Bucky is the greatest back ever were all the same idiots last year saying Tucker would take White’s job. Meanwhile Tucker averaged 1.5 yards per carry.

Now, the one thing I will say is Bucky is a completely different league than basic north/south runner Sean Tucker. Bucky, from what I’ve seen so far, has good vision and good quickness, and that should translate to Sunday’s – unlike Tucker who just runs forward until he hits something – which is normally the back of his offensive lineman.

Why is Bucky Irving leading this poll? I mean let him play a game first

Because people are demented and have no idea what they’re watching.

With that said, again, I think Bucky is going to be a very good RB – and that is not something I saw about every RB the Bucs sign like 99% of people. But we’ve seen Bucky play 3 snaps vs a starting defense, he got the ball 3 times, and got 6 yards total, I believe. Doesn’t mean anything as it’s a tiny sample – but people need to chill out and make sure his skills translate on Sundays. I think they will – I really like what I see, but the hate on White is just beyond stupid.

  8. Bojim Says:

Let’s see Bucky in a real game or two before anointing him as RB1

  9. Bucsfan81 Says:

Going with White because he has experience but Bucky should be the number 2 back until he proves he can handle RB1

It’s worth noting that RW gets crucified for being “hesitant” while running like many running backs who get praised for being “patient” and waiting for their holes to develop.

I see him as someone who has good vision, leverages his blocks well, can break ankles with a little room. The little we’ve seen of the OL line this season looks fantastic to me and I expect it’ll make a difference in his efficiency and precious (to some of yall’s) stats.

Well it has to do with people having no idea what they’re watching. Sean Tucker, again, is a very basic north south runner without the agility to play on Sundays. Last year, he ran full speed ahead, just like the ‘hesitant’ crowd wants, and he averaged 1.5 yards per carry in this same offense with the same blocking. Another basic north south runner who didn’t hesitate was Keyshawn Vaughn who just ran straight ahead like they want, and he averaged 1.8 yards per carry, in the same offense with the same blockers.

White literally proved what a good RB he is, because he allowed his blocks to develop, which is why he was so much more successful than the scrubs.
