Good podcast about storms, Florida, et al.
Growing up in the snow belt region in NY and relocating here around 1990, some don’t understand how bad it is during a snow storm if they haven’t lived there either. Total opposite from FL hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms. All still can be life-threatening. Yes, the price of paradise.
The phrase “Be Safe” was said to me the first time around Covid by colleagues and it has been used a lot for current bad weather times. I have used the term too, and also “Be Well and Take Care.” For me, it comes from respect and empathy about another person. I don’t think people would use it if they didn’t really care. Otherwise they may not say anything.
