“We’re Nursing An Injury”

July 25th, 2024

Chase Edmonds

The guy who might be the Bucs’ second-best running back was on the sidelines today wearing sweatpants and a baseball hat.

Of course, Joe has to ask Todd Bowles about it. Chase Edmonds, like him or not, is a critical piece on the Bucs roster. He’s needed on special team and you never want to be ridiculously thin at running back.

Turns out Edmonds is injured. Bowles didn’t elaborate or say that Edmonds is day-to-day, only that he’s “nursing an injury.”

Might this spark Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht to sniff harder for running backs that might fall off other teams?

What Joe does know is that this situation probably means extra training camp work for rookie Bucky Irving, which is a good thing.

Sorry to hear about Edmonds being injured. Taking it day to day sounds worrisome. Hope he’s healthy soon.

More reps for Bucky, Tucker, Jefferson and the others.

  9. RBUC Says:

All you fans that just follow the headlines DJ Williams RB from FSU/Arizona is the UDFA to pay attention to in this camp! The kind of RB with some size and power that this Bucs team desperately has been lacking for some time. I hope his game can translate to the NFL level🚩☠️💯

  10. Marine Buc Says:

Has this guy ever been fully healthy?

This dude is way too fragile for an NFL running back.

Never forget the “most important ability” in the NFL is availability.

New OC. Guys are getting reps. The longer he’s out, the harder it will be to get in.

  14. Mike Johnson Says:

Starting Training Camp with an injury is never good. How you gonna make the team?

  15. J.B. Says:

Bring back Fournette on the vet min. Read he is in shape and looking for an opportunity. Was a good compliment to White, bruiser a couple of seasons ago.

  16. Booger Says:

Of course. Couldn’t even make it to Day-2 of Camp… He’s ALWAYS, nursing an injury.

  17. Crickett Baker Says:

Seems the best ability is actually durability.
